btw roo apparently the A9X is the orginal,it is the 1978 but the real one was crashed back in 1979 when it went to another team and some of the difference happened when it was being restored.

It is definitely the real 1978 car. It was crashed at Bathurst in 1979 with engineering legend Ron Harrop driving when it lost it's brakes. It was still part of the Holden Dealer Team. That was Chris Bowden who took it to Goodwood.

Cheers for the info guys!

Got one of them; how rare are they?

One of the other Aussies mentioned the Ford GT LM II car before.

Funny you should say that - mine arrived today (ordered last December).

The stuff there look pretty damn cheap. But they aint good brands, their like Yat Ming or whatever. But the better ones are usually at the end few pages :)

My MP4-21 just arrived. I took pictures of it and my models I got for my birthday a few hours ago. I should have pictures up later.

I spent hours preparing this post, so you all better bloody read it .

I went to some hobby shop in Perth today, and managed to snap up some pretty fantastic bargains on these four models! :dopey: They had a large amount of stock on the 3 street cars, so many colours to choose from 👍
I'm pretty chuffed with what I ended up with... and the detail is amazing.

Hi, I need to know if Carousel1 are a good model producer, as ive got my eye on one on Ebay

thanks for any info

Can someone tell me where i can find that model.
I would like to have one like that.

I think GT models have a few in stock, but I'm not sure - you'll have to email them. I don't know what shipping will be like to Belgium either.

Photos of my latest batch, all AutoArt; the 787B now has a companion in the form of the RX8, as the Skyline has in the GT and the 99 GT-ONE has in the 98 GT-ONE. The Honda NSX, 2002 Bentley Speed 8 and Toyota Corolla WRC car complete my latest round of credit-card bashing... for now.

Not a high-dollar model, but pretty good overall.

Bought a $11 Gallardo Spyder at Sam's today. Again, maybe Maisto, but it's better than paying $25 for it at LoD. Only models I'd buy at LoD are the AutoArt Murcielago LP640s coming in, and the Miuras. They're out of Countachs.

Where have you heard that AA is making a LP640? They haven't said they're making one.

Anyway, here's 2 sets of photos from my latest batch of models.

McLaren MP4/21 Kimi Raikkonen by Minichamps

Ferrari 248 Michael Schumacher "Shanghai GP" by Hot Wheels

The MP4/21 is a well detailed model. Very good finish and everything and the chrome paint is really nice. It has a nice effect when seen in bright sunlight. The paint on the helmet is very well done as well. I recommend getting this model if you're a fan of Kimi.

The Schumacher model is not as good of a model (since it's Hot Wheels) but it makes up for it with the "wear" finish. It has rain droplets on it and rain tyres which are pretty well done, and the dirt wear on it is pretty good too. Maybe just a lil bit too much dirt wear, but not too much to make it seem unrealistic. They've also put the other aero elements present on the later season 248 compared to the regular release. This one will have to be converted to Marlboro sometime. I only recommend this model if you really want a model with wear/rain on it of Schumacher and can find a good deal on it. The real value of the model is maybe $80 or so. I paid $90 for it so I don't feel too ripped off, but the "official price" of $130 or so is far too much.

Where have you heard that AA is making a LP640? They haven't said they're making one.

According to the dealer, they'll be getting 1:18 LP640s by the end of the year. I asked how they knew, and they said since the dealer ordered models in bunches and was a Lamborghini dealer, they were being let known early so the dealer knew when to order them.

Which doesn't surprise me since AutoArt already makes a lot of popular Lamborghini models, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a LP640 pop up sooner or later (hopefully sooner) as you know I'll be on the ordering list.

Edit* From what I've found, in June '06, AutoArt replied to a few folks that they were very interested in producing a LP640. I think they've made their minds up by now. :)

Some pictures I've taken outside. Weather happened to be pretty good. 👍

This is the new Ferrari F40 by Kyosho, a lovely model. Here, it's together with the Lamborghini Countach, a rival car.

And lastly, since everyone talking about it, here is the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II by AA. Seen here together with the older Nissan Skyline Gran Turismo by AA.

And one more set of pictures. Went outside today as well, and here's what I got:

McLaren MP4/21
