That is indeed epic. When the person opens the doors of the Aventador, it opens up by itself. Do you know if that is spring assisted or how they are making the doors open up?

Most likely but given that these are not for sale yet we don't know for sure.
You'll need to wait until I get my hands on one. :D

My brother told me about finding some diecast models at a grocery store in a nearby city, but since I had to get to work I gave him some cash (and my car, since my parents wanted him to take it) and asked him to buy me (what he told me was a Bentley Continental Supersports convertible). But he also found an F10 BMW M5 there!

IMG_0866_zps5b65e6d4.jpg

Bentley is by Kinsmart (great detailing)
M5 is by RMZ (Heard of them from fellow HW/MB collectors in the other thread, but didn't know they actually had them here! Some good models I saw through their list. Wish they brought the Toyota 86 1:32 here)

Damn that looks good. I want one too. Ebbro?

Edit:
Nice photos too from your new camera 👍

Yep, yet another Ebbro. I got this mainly because it was on sale. But when it arrived I was truely blown away. This model just looks so right. The real GT-R GT has a beautiful shape IRL, and I feel they really captured the essence in this model. The paint is spiffing - a bit thick in places, but the overall finish is really top notch. Nice carbon fibre, too.

I sent the Panasonic back today. I used to do some DLR shooting back in the day, but my ex-gf kept the camera and shooting film is a bit dated.

So I digged a bit deeper and ordered an Olympus today. More money doesn't equal better pictures (in term of composition), but I was just too limited what I could do with my 5 minutes diorama. And to be honest I felt the urge to get back to photography again.

Oh man so tempted to get one of those Ebbro R35 GT1's.
The Ford GT LM is pricey but looks totally worth it.
Might be the start of a plain body race car collection? :)

Do, if you can find one at a discount (see above). I'm sticking with N24 GT cars for the moment, but the odd plain body here and there will eventually find a place in my collection. There's a few cars which look stunning in plain body dress - a bit disappointed with the GT86 though. The Gazoo livery suits it much better. I think I also sell my Ferrari 458 GT from Mattel Elite eventually, it's not really up there considering the price. A model I'm rather disappointed from.

Stopped by Rite Aid today near my campus and got these!

Both are Wellys and I have to say...I'm growing a weird obsession with the Bentley Continental Supersports. Same could be said with the Porsche Panamera. :scared:

How much did you get it for? Ive heard lots of good stuff and their 458 GT2 seems nice at US$130.
Conti's tend to display very well, the 1/18 FX Models one looks the bomb imo, would look good with your Welly.
And the leather pouch beneath your diecasts is a nice touch.

and the two newest additions:

Hopefully there are more to come... :)
They are a bit damaged because these are from a collection I buy from the news-stand so it's hard for them to be in perfect condition. Also, most of them I've had for a few years now.

Though I prefer 1/18 models myself, the level of detail of these models is just amazing (the Ford GT40 MKII is the best ).

^Awesome 1/43 scale collection notStig! I would collect 1:18 scales as well, if I had more money to spend. But I'm all over the place with 1/64s, 1/43s, 1/32-6s, and 1/24s. Mostly because I'm being lazy...ish? By going to drug stores and big box stores to get my models.

I've never been a fan of the Continental GT (Love the brand new one though), but something about the Supersports just seems more attractive. Also got a couple of Hot Wheels Bentley Continental Supersports to go with it. :D (And a 1/32 scale Supersports convertible)

It's not a leather pouch, it's actually just a table mat. I took pictures as soon as I got home with the cars on the kitchen table.

This thread's making me jealous!

Hehe, tell me about it. I need to get myself more display space and start buying more 1/18 cars. And like Holdenhsvgtsr, I'll also have quite a for Ford's considering I'm a Holden fan. But they'll just be Sierra's and Escorts. Maybe a Falcon or 3. :P

Bit O/T but where did you get that picture from, really nice

I found it on flickr ages ago and always had it saved on my computer and got it printed in canvas when i got my exoto daytona coupes. I went through a daytona phase although the gf wasn't impressed when i said i wanted to name our first daughter Shelby.

I would do more group shots but i really can't be bothered digging through the lot and i need a bigger walk in wardrobe....

It's stacked about 9 feet high.

I am currently reading the Kanojo no Carrera manga. And since I already have a 964 model 911 (which is a Carrera RS in the manga, albeit my 964 model is a Speedster), I decided to buy another Porsche that was heavily featured in the story.

The Boxster S:

This is a 1/43 scale Boxster S made by High Speed. For such an affordable price tag, it is finely detailed (as with all High Speed 1/43s) and it even has a removable hard top roof!

What's more, it is colored the same as the main character's 964 RS, in Rubystone Red.

Modelissimo do them for under 60 euros + 12 euros to ship. And you get them within 2 days.

Sounds good, investigation will ensue.
Edit I've found a site in Germany, is that the right one?

Holy hell, dude. You have an amazing stash of japanese cars there. And a lot of money too. The CRX is amazing!

Lol,

thank you for not spitting on me or wanting to kill me, I do love me some Japanese cars <3, Labor of love aswell, That horrific fedex Ground side job...aka the Model car side job, but it was worth it. Each one of these cars, has my blood, sweat and tears, from loading those trailors....And almost breaking my back literally. I will say for the total of all of the cars, including the ones i just ordered, I could have bought a used Car. cash...but since i have a car in 1:1 scale my attention has focused on models.

I didn't just buy 1:43 scale either..

I Bought a ton Of auto art 1:18 scales...of course Japanese ones.

But i have to say, as a collector, my favorite scale is 1:43 scale.

And MedigoFlame thank you.

Hey, never get me wrong, I also love japanese cars, they are like my second love in car life... er third, behind american car kulture and 1930's european streamlining, but I don't think I could collect just japanese cars, specially when most of them are from the 90s and look like boxes.

That why i aim for the the ascetically pleasing Japanese iconic cars, Yes i am keen to japanese cars but it has to have a certain style, or i won't even think about it, Will say i do like a big old sedan like a prince skyline or nissan Cedric, or a Gloria,.....Interesting names for cars.

But i do have a plenty of american muscle, but only in 1:64 scale, Mostly M2 and johny lightning or Greenlight

And euro cars i have a few dozen in 1:43 and a plenty in 1:64.

But yea....collection is mostly Japanese.

Just to echo what Medigo and Cano already said, a truly amazing collection of 1.43's you have there. Especially the Subaru legacy rally car.👍
