Glad to hear the HPI looks good. The HPI, when on sale, looks mighty tempting, but I'm still not 100% sold yet on resin vs. metal, and one thing with the metal (AutoArt) ones is that their doors, hood and trunk opens. I don't know, sounds like it's worth the 70 Euros?

What Bram said, it's a steel! I have a few Exoto's now and it's pretty cool they have parts that can open and close, but it's also important the gaps between the parts aren't too big. Somehow there's always something that just doesn't sit right. With the Alfa the gaps are perfect, it looks like everything can be opened. It's a good car to just put somewhere to shine.

And it looks very impressive in its DTM spec :D

Just got this one in today. I spent a little more than I should have on this...It's the Ebbro 1/43 R35 GT3 from the Asia special edition.

With the Kyosho R35 GT-R model of GT5.

Oh I meant to ask this...the passenger seat in my Kyosho model is facing the wrong direction. I guess it's a factory defect; does anyone else have this?

It's the '98 #28 car. I should try and collect all 1:18 TS020's and make an own vitrine dedicated to the machine

Also, the Audi R18 is already shipped. Within two hours of payment

Dem Germans over at CK! 👍

What do you mean, the wrong direction?

The GTR's look nice. The Ebbro a bit more, lovely colour on it!
The back of the seat is facing forward lol

The Ebbro feels of much better quality than the Kyosho; the color is very nice and looks even better in reality :)

Picked this up last night at a grocery store:

Kinsmart Lotus Exige

Not my picture, but it's the same color. Was tempted by the rally one with the extra foglights, but it was a lot of scratches.

I used to collect 1/18 scale cars and am getting back into it. As a Mopar fan, most of my collection is made up of Mopars:

1. 2013 SRT Viper GTS *NEW*
2. 1966 Chrysler Turbine
3. Plymouth Pronto Cruiser Concept (became PT Cruiser. Originally part of the Pronto Line that included the Pronto Prowler, Pronto Cruiser and Pronto Spyder. Only the Cruiser and Prowler were made)
4. Dodge Copperhead Concept
5. 2003 Dodge Viper SRT10
6. 1957 Plymouth Fury
7. 1966 Dodge Coronet Super Bee
8. 2003 Dodge Viper Competition Coupe (3rd Gen GTS-R)
9. 2006 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Concept

The rest of my line-up
10. Maserati Quattroporte
11. Mercedes SLR McLaren
12. 1966 Pontiac GTO
13. Lamborghini Diablo SV
14. Jaguar XJ220
15. Nissan Skyline R34

Arriving soon:
16. Chevrolet Corvette C7
17. 1937 Studebaker Express Pickup Truck.

First time a car was available and no one's at home, so I snuck out to the flea market on my own for the first time. Only grabbed this Motormax 1:24 RX-7 for $10:

It's going to see a few modifications. Metalflake green is a pretty colour, but doesn't suit an FD that well.

I got one of those for my 7th birthday! Still have it somewhere...

Those Ferrari's are pricey. I found 1 1/18 scale 458 that WASN'T a Spider for under $100. And it's in Matte Black. Which, I'd rather not have it in Matte Black, but it doesn't look like I have a choice unless I want to pay $100+ for a model car. Which...I might end up collecting the Gran Turismo collection.

Found some interesting cars too. The Veneno, GT by Citroen and I even believe the Red Bull X2010 have models.

Depends. BBR models cost a lot. But I've seen Hotwheels Elite Ferrari's go for $75 for an AF Corse 458 which is a pretty darn good deal since Hotwheels Elite is pretty good, I would say Minichamps level.

Well, most of the Ferrari's on sale are pretty much sold directly from Ferrari, so that would be the reason for the price. That and the quality. That said the 599XX is pretty cheap.

Also, my C7 Corvette Stingray has arrived!

Found this while looking around: From long time producer of Gran Turismo cars AutoArt:

Highway 61 has the 'Cuda Concept models.

I'm pondering my next purchase (aside from the Bloodhound SSC from Corgi) and wether it should be resin or metal.

Having never bought resin before I'm kinda sceptical that its worth (in some cases) the same as the metal ones but wanted to know your experiences with resin

I have 3 1/18 resin models and around 30 1/43 resin models and never had an issue with any of them. Detail level tends to be a little higher than diecast, though it does depend on the model and manufacturer. Some of my favorite models in my collection are resins lol...

Here are my 3 1/18 resins:

@Bram Turismo and @Carlos I will definitely consider the HPI Alfa when I make my next purchase... thanks for convincing me...?

I finally did it! I finally managed to track and buy an AutoART Toyota TS020! :D

If I may ask, where did you get the AutoArt Toyota TS020?

--

Also, does anyone have any tips on tracking down and being able to purchase rarer, out of production models without paying an arm and a leg? I have been keeping an eye out for a few models on eBay, but the few that comes up once in a while are all very, very expensive. Are there other sites or tips on getting one?

Ouch! Was it minor like a tube fell off or huge like the car turned to ash when you touched it?

The 1/43s look real tempting. Especially as I can't find a good Zonda 1:43 any where
But that 905! And the F50... Ok all of theme are tempting.

I got it off Ebay. I've been searching for mint TS020s for a year now. I've seen them go for as high as 190 euros which is absurd, and as low as 85 euros when I missed bidding. I got mine for 140 euros shipping included. The buy-out price was 150 euros exl. shipping. I made him a 115 euro offer, he made a 123 euro counter-offer and I just went for it.

My R18 should arrive tomorrow or Tuesday, but I may not be able to pick it up from the post office before Friday. Perhaps the TS020 will have arrived by that time as well. Expect pictures 👍
