whats the point you may have proved something but knowone seems to care i think weve all gathered that as long as its rwd it should be good if your not happy with that well then start another tournament with all same cars same drivetrain layout.

I myself will be driving fr and if i qualify and get paired with an mr or rr so be it this is the nature of compitition
Cant say ive ever seen an ae86 driver cry its not fair when he gets paired with a 450hp S15 or so on they drive there cars because they like them and thats what drifting is about people showcasing their skill in the cars they love.
Get over it you tryed to pull this with the HP aswell 👎

While this is a big argument and I see the merit of both sides I simply can't make the decision. I want variety but close tandems is more important... But some people just can drift FR... Bro, just set it back to RWD only
Variety is better for all and i will drive FR as well and if an FR user gets beaten by some faster dude with an MR(or RR) after beating every other FR user in the tournament it will not be the end of the world ... everyone will agree that he is better ... same thing with DS3 vs wheel users we all know the fact that faster drifts are done via DS3 ... and we dont nagg about it all the time

i have some questions about judging ... if i was leading and doing extreme angle but slower than the guy behind me and he hits me because he cant drift slowly who loses points ? and is overtaking allowed like in D1GP ?

the only thing ds3 got over wheel is its friendly for newbies.
because the calibration sucks in gt5 ds3 is ****.
i would drift better with a wheel but i dont have money for a g25.
(and yes i drift in real life.)

i dont have the money for a G25 either ... i got a DFGT for 130$ (usd)
I have to ask u have u used a 900 degree wheel on GT5 ? drift transisions might need a full lock to lock flip but whit a DS3 they only need a flip of a finger to be done ... that was my main point disregarding the faster correction of mistakes ...

Even if he doesnt, i will. MR is faster, and fairness goes a long way. Youre joking about controller differrences, but i dont see how that is unfair improvement of drifting speed/skills? Anyway, i'd say FR only so that makes it 3-2.
 
I'll agree that I think MR is faster, and it would be best if everyone were in FR cars, but if people REALLY want to run MR, I don't care, I'll still take them on :D

I might use MR btw i'm constantly changing my mind cuz the car i like is MR but i dont want people to think i'm using it cuz its MR ...

I'll try anything once. If someone enters in an MR and dominates, then we know that the result is skewed and to ban MR next time out. Personally I think people should WANT to be driving FR, but if they don't, there isn't much I can do about it.

you can always improve your technic of steering and feedback on the wheel should help you. it does irl so why not in gt5?
its so hard to not steer max on the ds3 therefore you usually wobble alittle if your not doing as much angle as possible so if your tandeming and chasing someone whos skilled with wheel you cant catch him if your having the same car.
since he can have the perfect angle of his front wheels while i have to sacrifice speed when i switch between steer lock and neutral.

i wish they could make better calibration for the analog sticks in gt5 its a joke right now. or just a setting so we can configure the dead zone and end zone (?)
 
Thanks for the positive attitude, TTCH. I honestly think we are arguing over something that is redundant, as i doubt anyone will use MR anyway. But if they do and dominate the competition we know that we must get rid of them
 
OK this is the way i see it we are suppose to be using GTP rules to stop these stupid arguments from my understanding it dosnt state what layout we use as long as its RWD if the GTP rules say no mr or rr then you cant use them period.

Every one is carrying on like theres something at stake ITS A GAME ITS SUPPOSE TO BE FUN we are getting together to see some good drifting regardless of what car/wheel or controller you are using.

This is your Tournament make the call on this so we can stop hearing about it.

If your not happy with the rules track or anything else dont enter SIMPLE!!!!!
If you wanna have some fun go head to head with some of GTP's best drifters then be part of it.👍
 
I thought the post just above yours kinda answered it...

For those who don't understand my criptic-ness. MR & RR will be allowed for this tournament. If however it becomes apparent that they are dominating or to fast it will be looked at (again!!!) for the next one. All clear? good!

Oh and for those who don't like the ruling, i severely doubt anyone will even use an MR or RR. They were allowed in tournament 1 and no one even touched them.
 
Hmm, this means I could just use my Ford GT and skip through the first few rounds, then to be told to use FR for the final.

Usually when i read capitals i take it as shouting.. as in the Nemesis vs D-Trick thread TTCH clearly stated that in a battle, the MR car will have a clear advantage over the FR vehicle as he and Sai done some tests on them.. so in all fairness of regulations and wanting it to be an all out battle of skill and not Speed i reckon FR should be the limitation to Engine Placement and Drivetrain.

FR only. the main opponent of the movement PM'd me that he'd changed his views.

No problem mate. Lol, I put my name down twice as I am often on the wrong account when people are looking for me. I'll change it to a slash so everyone knows it's the same guy. Congratulations again for the performance in. tournament 1 mate 👍

As for @supergtracer, we have been arguing over this for the last few pages and it has been unaminously decided that MR's drift faster. This gives them an unfair advantage in competition I hope that your comment...
