Wow, I am just seriously lucky. So our family decided to go border shopping and they decided to go to a mall. We were there from 10-8. At 4:30PM, I decided to go to the car to sleep, while they went to Marshalls. My brother comes back at 6:00 to tell me he's found a hat that looks nice on me. When I enter the store, I ask my brother if the song had played. It had at 4:45. Good thing I took a nap....

I was at a local megastore and they sounded the firealarm and asked people to calmly move towards exits , left the stuff I had gathered there and moved out.
This propably saved me from getting whammed , thought I had to wait for about an hour before I could continue shopping.

Anyway, I'll say the same, I haven't heard it for quite a while now. But that may be due to me not watching TV anymore, seeing how it flooded with shows about Christmas in one way or another.

And it'll be interesting to see who wins this, it's getting close.

I forgot to sign up in here but I have been actively watching out for potential whamming and so far it hasn't happened. I have been in loads of shops and never heard it (guess I was lucky). There have been a few covers of it on TV, mainly the Downton Abbey Xmas advert but that doesn't count.

The closest I came to getting whammed was a few days ago when someone on the radio rang in and requested "that Christmas wham song"..... I have never run so fast over to my radio's remote to switch it off!

I work part time in a coffee shop and we've been playing Christmas music for a few weeks now. It was only a matter of time before it happened. Shame it happened today though, as after that I'm not working until after the 1st Jan.

Whammed. At my girlfriends for a get together with her family and in the day they turn on the music channel for 2 songs worth, the 2nd of which was of course that scourge of Christmas we all fear.

Never mind though, I made it through round 1 last year, best out of 3?
