Getting ready for school again this time. Eating breakfast then WHAM! Last Christmas not doing very well this time; better luck next year hopefully. Probably not though, I'm probably the most un-lucky person I know.

I haven't been Whammed, but my mum has! I didn't even realise she was playing. She narrowly missed it on the radio yesterday - they announced it was going to come on so she took her earphones out for a good half an hour to make sure it wasn't playing . Today she was Whammed by Fearne Cotton, who had Bruno Mars in Radio 1's Live Lounge. She suggested he did a cover of Christmas songs, and then played a few clips of some... including the dreaded Wham!

When we played Christmas radio in class, I became paranoid. One of my friends asked me what was the problem, and thinking that since I was in America and that most people in my school don't bother with 80's, I could tell them safely that I was trying to avoid Wham!'s song, "Last Christmas."

What a mistake, because my friend knew too well about the song. Now he's going to bring his iPod with the song in it, and play it during the day. At any point. And what's worse? He's in all of my classes.

I was blatantly flipping through radio stations this morning and happened to stop on one playing "Last Christmas".

Mother 🤬! Just got Whamed while leaving the post office. Was in there for a solid 15 minutes waiting in queue and listening to all the usual non christmas-y songs they had playing when just as i got my hands on the parcels I came to collect I heard the sound I was fearing.... "Laaaassst Christmas I gave you my hear...". I swore a little louder than I should've and walked out disgusted.

Managed to apparently avoid the Taylor Swift version while shopping today in the mall, went with girlfriend, sister, and mother. The girlfriend and I walk out of F.Y.E. to go find my mom a Christmas present somewhere else while they paid for the Ride the Lightning + Caress of Steel CD's and also the Initial D volume 2 I managed to find - and they said that it began playing the moment we left.

Still going strong, though.
