Updated the list and added some extra stuff:
If you posted before December 1 (the 'deadline', then I've added you to the original participants list. This is essentially those who started the game before December and posted to let me know. If you didn't post before December 1 but still got Whammed, I'll add you to the WUL (Whammed User Log) but not to the original participants list 👍.People are dropping like flies! There's still a few weeks to go and almost a third of our original participants have been Whammed. Multiple times for some of them.

Don't forget to keep a basic count of your Whammings and I'll put up a list of the top 5 most Whammed members too :D

So I can join but not really?

Ahhh cmon...

I have to hear this stupid song like 10 times every day at work... (Large electronics store).
Being whammed all over the place.

Im just glad I got my own music that I can play, and play it louder then the annoying christmas songs. :D

I was being teased by my dad yesterday. He called me every time he heard it on the radio. I now am not answering any phone calls until after Xmas.

George Michael and his army of Christmas orcs hit me again yesterday. This makes it a double-Whammer in 2012 so far.
I`m guessing it won`t be the last time and will become a multi-Whammer.

From my point of view: TV-sets and radios are most dangerous besides teasing friends who know about your Wham-o-phobia!

I'm trying to get my friends into it before the year ends, so all of us will be trying to Wham each other throughout 2013.

Yup - I've been playing hardcore since last year :sly:

I will get you before Christmas.
Somehow.

Popmadon told me about some podcast that he wanted me to listen to, so he hosted it on his site... it wasn't a podcast.

My computer currently has an annoying but very handy feature that it isn't meant to have. All day when I've started a Youtube video, I get the visual, but the audio doesn't work for about 15 seconds to 2 minutes in the video, so even if I do end up on the Wham vid, I won't actually hear it. :sly: My computer's deficiencies are finally offering a helping hand!

I was so lucky yesterday. 10:30pm I'm half asleep. I know what's a good idea. Music channels! Yeah, top 10 rock. Seems fine right? Number 1 was a Christmas song. Even Scuzz isn't safe.

Anyone up for a Skype? :sly:

EDIT: Oh wow. A Last Christmas/Gangam Style mashup (not the original song by itself, so it's safe):

Well considering my entire computer's sound drivers are dodgy, okay. :sly: No really, it's not just Youtube videos, WMP takes about 20 seconds to start playing music no matter the music file. And sometimes the sound drivers suddenly decide that they aren't installed at all. :odd: Five restarts later it decides that they are installed. My computer is protecting me.

Mine used to do this. Oh if it only still did.

Forgot to say that I spent a good 40 minutes walking around the mall on Tuesday and not only did I avoid getting Whammed, there were no festive songs being playing in any shop I walked past.

I'll be going back there later today because I'm such a daring guy.

🤬! I was carelessly listening to the radio this morning, clearly not fully awake, and got whammed. That'll wake you up.

I have survived into December! Just had a crystalising moment as to how lucky I am to still be in - I have a CD playing in my car most of the time but not ALL of the time. I use a RADIO alarm clock though! I have watcged a good amount of TV, adverts very much included. I've done a considerable amount of shopping without headphones. I sat in McDonald's for half an hour with christmas songs playing (luckily they were of even greater cheese than Wham...).

Moving to DEFCON 2

I fear that I know the date I will fall however - Saturday 15th December. Time unknown.

Although permanently avoiding said song is optimum, when is the survival anouncement date? Do we have to make it to post Christmas or Post 2012?

Randomly popping in to post that I've heard the song several times this year :ouch:

But also to give fair warning that the Ashley Tisdale/Taylor Swift versions are beyond royally surpassing the annoyingness of Wham :scared:

Thoughts go out to those who suffer either of them

Ive been safe so far..and ive ben into shops, listened to radio and had the music channels on...i paniced earlier though when i was listening to Scott Mills on R1, he said 'ill play a christmas song in a few songs time!' and i did panic slightly..but then he played Shakin' Stevens! Phew!!!!!:nervous:

Still going strong and unwhammed this year. I've hardly taken my headphones out though when in a place I'd be at risk.

21st in not in fact the end of the world. It's actually the day I'm wammed. 21st is the last day of 2012 at work. I just found out we'll have Christmas music playing all day. I saw the pile of CD's. There's at least 15 CD's there. I just know wham'll be in there. Here's hoping I'm continently in the toilet throwing up over the other vile Christmas songs when it's on. :nervous:

Still safe after 6 days. I don't go to shopping much but at home others are listening to dinner. Family loves the horrid Xmas music but at dinner I asked for it off and my wish was granted.
