One hell of a match. That was a fantastic game. Very entertaining.
Good thing it didn't go to penalty kicks. Germany, by record, would have crushed them.
I like how the ref let the players sort out this game. I saw no favoritism. Germany had a lot of fouls called, I think more than Italy, so I thought the Mexican ref was very fair. Best ref job of the Cup, if you ask me.

I don't think Portugal are that bad play acting tbh, most teams have done it and it's pretty sickening to see someone roll around and then magically recover when they see the stretcher guys comming on.
I'd still like to see France win just so Zizou can end his career on a high and winning the world cup would be some high!

i'm sorry, but this german team was amazing. nobofy would have expected them to get thgis far. its a young team without experience and they did an amazong jb. italy won by pure luck, and i congratulate them. but it was luck, no team dominated in the game tonight. we would have crushed them in penalties, but they scored in the very last minute...

i'm not a sore looser, i congratulated every italian fan i met tonight...
but scoring in the last 2 minutes is luck...afterwards the german team was ripped apart, they rushed to the front but missed and thus opened it up to let another on through.

I agree on the domination part, but they whole key to this game was WHO was going to be able to keep the pressure on and not choke, Germany choked, admit it.

Well that's about the same explanation that a pro-footballl player would have said if asked "how do you feel about the match" by a reporter after the game...and there's another explanation to this:
THAT'S FOOTBALL. period.
Losers often call luck to a win by a team on a close match like the one we just saw. But "luck" is everywhere. specially on penalty rounds where Germany beat Argentina...so we can say that Germany got "lucky" by getting into the semi-finals
I congratulate Germany because they played well in this match and ENOUGH like Famine said, on their previous games. They won a couple of matches because of last minute goals. So again..Germany was indeed LUCKY of getting this far.
But what counts on the long run, is the ability to finish a play, to be concrete, to define. Not the ball possesion, not the number of shots on goal, fouls..etc. It's the GOAL that matters and no matter if it was at the last minute, we got the job done and Germany didn't. Their defense had a mistake and teams lose beacuse of mistakes, Germany had 2 mistakes, and we took advantage of both mistakes and managed to mark the difference between us and them.
We deserved this more than they did and like I said before...everything pays off.

in all the other games we fought hard for the win, with argentina being the exception, both teams played well but in the end penalties decided it. lehmann however is one of the best keepers in the world and our shots went in. that was not luck that was skill (penalty shooting/saving skill, not playing skill...)

i'm not complaining here, i#m just saying that we did not desvere to loose, like some other teams (england, brazil)
