Sorry guys, I've had some kind of tooth infection that has really knocked me out. Going to the dentist tomorrow morning so hopefully I'll be on the mend soon and back to racing.

Good luck, although a string and a door knob should do the trick. I also like to incorporate tequila in my home dentistry as it acts as a antiseptic and local anesthesia.

It's nice to see you diversify between Four Loko and tequila........although they both sound Spanish. :indiff:

Back from the dentist and everything's pretty good. Gum infection, some crud build-up and I've been grinding them apparently but no cavities or abscess or anything. Just got a good cleaning and a stern talking to. It was a bad infection, made me ill and really stressed but I already feel a ton better and ready to get back to some shufflin'! If anyone's going to be around tonight I'll try to get a room reserved. 👍

I may be there for this one. It's been an up and down month and I haven't even turned my PS3 on in maybe a week or so now. I've got some things to wrap up on the racecar this evening and then I should have some time available.

I'm awfully tired but I'll try to scrabble up enough effort to make it:sly:

Hope ya can make it. 👍 I should be on in 20 minutes or so.

EDIT: Logging on now, should have a room open shortly.

DOUBLE NINJA EDIT: CLOSED

Bit of a raunchy crowd last night. Haven't seen that kind of stuff in quite a while. Too bad we can't track who has been booted from the lobbies in any way other than manually. I suspect some of the same suspects will wander in again from time to time.

Block them and they can never join rooms you are in. From my understanding.

We could do a list of known bad dudes, so that we kick'em pronto.

Does that work only for the host or does it work if they are on my block list but I'm only a participant and not the host? I have no clue.

Almost sure it's anyone in the room has a person on block they can't join.

Forgot about this because I never subscribed to the thread. I see I haven't missed much, but glad you're feeling better, Brandon.

I guess that explains why I never see Lancer in any of the rooms I'm in:sly: Well if that's the case, then some of us regulars only need block some of the clowns and it should take care of the problem.

I asked a few and they seemed to think its who is blocked on the hosts account that can't enter.

Would like a test and confirm if its anyone in the room or host only.

I think it's only those who are blocked on the hosts account that can't enter. It would be easy for you guys with triple screen set ups to test it out as you have 3 PS3's, with online accounts on each I presume.

Room up.
Upd: closed. Pretty low turnout. At most six people in the room

I've thought about doing the bad driver list thing so we can keep track of the Unwanteds. I've had to boot a few people so far, but I haven't seen any of them make a return appearance. I believe once they've been booted from a room they can't return to that room, but I think that all resets once a new room is open. From now on when I boot somebody I'll also add them to my blocked list and jot their name down on a shame list. 👍

The one real problem I see is that the room fills up too fast and GTPeople might have a hard time getting in. Tuesday I had a room up and a few of us regulars and a couple Randoms were in, we did a quick race at Autumn Ring and by the time we were done the room had basically filled with Randoms and if anyone from here had wanted to join they wouldn't have been able to. I think it might be a good idea to start off with Spec racing first, since Spec seems to attract less attention that should give people from here plenty of time to trickle in before the Randoms fill it up. After we get a decent crowd we can switch to Shuffle and let the room fill up.

I should be around this weekend (and possibly this evening) for some racing if anyone's interested.

EDIT: Thinking about trying a Ferrari Friday room tonight, see how that works out. Set the room restriction to Ferrari Street Cars, tuning prohibited and then just ask everyone to use the same model. Perhaps the F430 Scud and then maybe switch to the 458 Italia or Enzo?

Pick one model per every Friday? Do multiple tracks? Also I'm envious if you do this. I can't make time on Friday and Saturday's for GT5 and would be delighted to join.

If you did models. Start from the bottom and work up each week. Giving every one a spot light. ;)

^ That's pretty much what I'm thinking, just pick a model for each Friday and ask everyone to use only that car for the night as we visit different tracks. Since I can restrict the room to just Ferrari's it will keep the riff-raff from bringing other cars on the track. If somebody brings an Enzo on track when we're racing Californias I'll ask them to please change or meet my boot. Trouble-makers won't want to bother with it, true racers will say "oooo, I want to race Ferrari's!" and play by the rules. Sounds pretty easy to me, we'll see if anybody want's to play.

^^^

Limit the room by hp/weight/pp for the specific car a spec levels.

I'll try to be on today. Not sure I've got unmolested prancing stallions though. Which one should I get?

See, this is an area where PD has royally screwed up their own features. If you limit the room to "Ferrari Street Cars" you can either limit hp/weight/pp OR you can prohibit tuning...........but you can't do both. :boggled: Ideally I could select tuning prohibited and then set the PP for the desired car and only that car could get on track. For some reason this is not an option, if you set a PP value it locks out the tuning prohibited option and if you select tuning prohibited it locks out the PP/weight/hp options. It's probably one of the dumbest things in the game, they give us some neat options and then severely limit how we can use them. :dunce: So even if I allowed tuning and set a hp/weight/pp restriction it still wouldn't keep other cars of the track because you could just tune/de-tune the other cars to meet spec.

I'm open to ideas. I like the F430 Scud and the 512BB, and I'm sure the 458 is popular.

Unless something changed with a recent patch, you should be able to limit the Power, weight, and tuning together. I'll get on and mess about with it.
