Sometimes I wonder if it's even Nepallis dad racing as Bortech and not Nepalli himself.

But yeah it does kinda sound like a rant but I grown tiresome of Nepalli always throwing NTSC's group under the bus, "what a horrible race" "do you guys even know how to race?? " "wow grab some popcorn cuz that was a joke" and so on.

1 - Reviewing incidents. Drivers use the form to report an incident. A driver that was not involved CAN report as well. This is the way it is now, but the problem is this: There should be a steward or 2 that are NOT racing in the series to decide the penalties awarded. Maybe 1 for PAL races and 1 NTSC. Maybe get Aderrrm or Wardez or RT. They are very clean and they know what sportmanship is about. This way reduces the possibility of bias decisions. In case a driver does not think the penalty awarded is fair, review incident again and allow the drivers to express their view on the incident. Upon the drivers' views, the decision may be changed or not. Basically using stewards from outside the series could help.

2 - Consequences. No offense to anyone here, but there are drivers in here who no matter how many penalties you give them they still won't drive clean and follow the rules. In this case, I think they should receive a suspension. Banning is too harsh. Suspension means they aren't allowed to race for 1 race or 2. Maybe that could make them realize that they aren't driving properly. This could help with the issues at Nurburgring where many people ran wide, multiple times. Or not having your car up to the specs like me last week . Hey, I will accept penalties if they are fair. I accepted the DQ because I made a mistake. I just get pissed off when it isn't fair. Having multiple opinions on an incident is better than one or two opinions.

3 - This is just a personal view, but I think that ballast should have a higher limit but whenever you stay off the top 4 instead of dropping 20KG, maybe drop 40KG or 50KG. Higher limit and higher drop might make people think more about managing their ballast.

I also had thought about having changes of specs mid season based on the drivers' thoughts on the cars. It sounds a cool idea but seems too complicated. It would be cool though.

I really don't think that is the case. nep us a clean respectful driver, Bortech us very aggressive. Totally different IMO

Bortech fluctuates driving styles big time. And why is he in NTSC if he's in Portugal? I can't imagine someone that age staying till like 4-5am for GT5. Maybe cuz it's easier and less competition? Idk but he sure ruined my chances last night to wrap up a win. Kinda like the preseason race at the Nurburgring. Punted off on lap 1.
 
There is something called emigrating to other countries, you know? So if Im living in the US, then uh, lets see... Oh yeah my dad is also living in the US. *sigh* Anyways...

Why not race again and be a part of the discussions at the end of the season on how we can improve?

Yes, I understand making changes like that now are useless. I dont want to race for now, taking a break from GT5, but thank you for the offer. 👍 I'll see if I can come up with something better to help out on the incidents.
 
This needs to stop, getting rather sick (and I'm sure other people are too) of most of the discussion in here turning into an argument, it's ridiculous. I've generally avoided posted here because it's just unreal how much people argue.

NEPALII, if you're just coming here to slate the people working behind the scenes and mock the series because you find PC games more enjoyable than GT5, then please, bugger off. It's boring that you keep coming in here saying the exact same thing, trying to make out that you've 'won' by quitting the series. I've acknowledged you have offered to help, but the fact you do it after insinuating that the stewards are just lazing around doing nothing is just incredibly insulting. Yes mistakes have been made. I don't know what happened with Red not being PM'd, and that is pretty bad, I apologise on behalf of the stewards for that, but this has been an ongoing situation that has had to be handled delicately. Despite our personal feelings towards the incidents, and my and others sympathy for Red (I know for a fact he is an especially clean driver, as do others), we have to be consistent in our rulings. It is no secret certain drivers really do need to calm down and improve their driving etiquette, because people, like Red, are becoming victims in incidents which really should not of happened in the first place. Nurburgring was just one of those horrible races where everything got out of hand, like Monaco last season, and stewards have had a lot to deal with, and we still have many incidents to investigate, but it will be done. We aren't running around like headless chickens hoping everything will fix itself.. the stewards are doing everything they can to make sure the series returns to it's norm. So Nep, instead of coming in here making wild comments explaining how you are so much better off and happy to laugh whenever something bad (such as the incidents between Red and Widow) happens, show some respect or just clear off, because I (the fact I'm saying this when I usually stay quiet should say enough) and many others are really bored of this constant superiority complex. Just because you can't see behind the scenes don't assume we're all sat on our backsides doing f'all.

Edit: Apologies to twisted here as well, he has tried to defuse this situation calmly, but I can not just sit here while someone openly attacks those running and maintaining the series everytime something major happens. It isn't on.
 
I appreciate the hard work the stewards are having but they are making mistakes. im just pointing them out, and just because Im doing that doesnt mean I never appreciated the hard work they did. That's why I purposed those things that hopefully could make things better. If I didn't care, if i was a "troll", I would just be complaining without offering help. I offered help.

Things were ugly at Nurburgring and that made me feel bad. Just because I didn't race doesnt mean I shouldnt care about it, right? If you guys don't want me to interfere in the series, or to say anything then say so and I'll shut up. Easy. I dont want to ruin the series, its not my intention.

Just dont race Hamond unless you dont mind getting pushed off everytime you try passing him :lol:. (Loved the agressive white Fiesta crashing into all 3 of them, it was the same mk as mine :sly:) But yeah makes me want to go do the same with my Fiesta :P.
 
Ok, Monza's next, every one be warned, in season 3 I spent dozens of hours checking lap after lap for people cutting the track... let's not do that. This won't be another Nurb. if you go wide or cut a part of a track you must let off the gas for a while to try and loose the time gained by cutting. If you do this, you're fine. But if in the replay we catch you cutting more than three times without letting off the throttle afterward you're going to be penalized.

Turns 1 chicane. Stay on the red and white. Your angle of attack will be looked at closely.

Be very careful coming into T3 chicane Roggia. It's easy to get out of bounds in such a tight place. And yes we will utilize millimeter size tolerances when inspecting questionable lap replays, do not try to get fresh.

The black tar run off after turn 4 in the beginning of Lesmo is an easy place to have a sandwhich so staying clean is vital to keeping your lap going, not much science going on here and not much to gain from going off the red and white curbing - Cutting turn 5 will not be tolerated.

The run off in turn 5 can't be used for speed, as with T4's exit, so just stay on surface and you're fine - The more important part is your line back on track. You must get off the curbing before it ends and the green concrete keeps going. If you go back on track staying on the tar and crossing over the green concrete past the curbing your lap will be considered invalid. This goes for qualifying and during the race.

This is Turn 7's first left kink curbing/green concrete pad and yes this is a bad lap. I was serious when I said millimeters - The partner image is a close shave, but definitely clean.

Now this is T7's right hand kink. Ascari is tough to get a good rhythm through, but if you're off like this, don't bother trying to save it. The second image is more tasteful and clean.

Do not finish T7's exit by crossing the solid white line beyond the curbing - Join the track proper before the curb ends.


Turn 8/ Parabolica is impossible to cut to gain time so we won't worry about that, standard rules apply.


On to the pits:

Do not cut into the pits like this on entrance. You must take an intentional angle of attack when coming in out of the final turn. Stay inside the yellow line. We will hand out penalties for not doing so. If you're past the proper entrance and realize it when it's too late, it's better to just do another lap than receiving a penalty for pitting unappropriately.

On pit exit you must, again, stay within the yellow line. Then stay within the extended pit exit line (solid white) all the way until its completion at the 1st turn 100m marker. We will make sure you abide by this rule. It's to keep your acceleration zone away from those that may be coming in full speed into turn 1. Do this even if you're absolutely sure no one else is around on the straight.

Just stay to the right then after the pit line ends, and if the coast is clear, get on with the racing! You can almost feel that little pace car's happiness.


  • Make sure to stay on track at ALL times with at least 2 wheels touching white line / Red / White curb. Green concrete is not track. This is the way we are drawing out track boundaries for our race at Monza. We realize that there are alternate interpretations with respect to what is and what is not part of the curbing. But in our series the half of the curbing that is painted green in certain parts of Monza is treated the same as grass and NOT track area. The traditional two tire OLR rules apply and all questionable laps will be greatly scrutinized.

    You can not use run offs or tarmac of any kind to gain speed. You will be penalized heavily during the race and disqualified for having a dirty lap in qualifying.
    Just stay inside the rumble strips and course white lines.


  • Pit lane.
    Entry: Respect the white lines and yellow dotted lines that mark out pit entry. Do not dive into the pits from the straight. You must make a shallow approach to pit lane coming out of the last turn Parabolica.

    Exit: You MUST stay within the long pit white line until it ends around the 100M mark before turn 1. Just make sure to stay right when you enter the track until you are 100% sure that you will not cause an accident.
    General: When entering and exiting pits, the white lines are ment to be respected. Yes, you can cross the white line when entering and exiting the pits. But if an incident occur, the driver who crossed the white line (The one on track, or the one who comes out from the pits) will be held responsible, and a penalty will come as a result.
  • Green Flag: Polecar will decide where the start is. He must make sure that ALL cars are clear of the last turn before starting.
    It's totally up to the pole car, as long as ALL cars behind him are on the straight. He can not start the race if the last car is still in the middle of the last turn. Pole car has right side of track for first right turn.

F1 cars cut the exit of Ascari, its one of them corners what are allowed in racing

We didn't allow it last season either. To be safe, make sure to keep 2 wheels on the track at all times. 👍
 
This is GT5. I'm well aware of the rule on Ascari's exit in real life.

But one thing you'll have to remember is that there's no huge sand trap in real life there. We just want to stay consistent with the white lines at certain tracks for simplicity and to help keep packs of cars well inside the track going out on Ascari as it tends to become a place where people like to get smart with their passing. It's worked out well in the past.
 
It's not hard at all to stay in the lines at Ascari, especially in a GT300. You have to drive with the mindset you can't run wide though, which of course applies in any cutting situation.

We don't see people going through the grass at Spa at 100mph through the bus stop chicane, because people have the mindset that that is not allowed.
We probably won't see people driving through the green stuff cutting 5 seconds a lap at Monza because people have the mindset that that is not allowed.

In this same spirit, have the mindset that running 4 tires past the boundaries by 1 inch is not allowed, just as cutting by 2 feet, 10 feet, and balls deep.
 
I'm fine with whatever, when I take the exit there I don't cut it as I don't need to but some others use that line
 
a PURE | HEADS UP

We're approaching mid spring, and most of us go from winter to summer time. Or daylight savings as some of you say.

What's a tad tricky here is that we don't move the clock forward on the same date all over the world..

I.e, here in Sweden, we go in to daylight savings in the night between 25th, and 26th of March.

So expect to have some issues during the next mounth or so until all countries are on the same page again when it comes to start times for your races and quali sessions.


So make sure to take this in to concideration. 👍

In order to maintain a safer racing environment we have deliberated the outcome for the racing behavior of repeatedly offensive drivers and what the consequences for their actions should be. The following drivers are being suspended from Round 7 of the World Super GT Championship and will be put on probational status for the remainder of the season wherein any further penalties successfully lodged against them will disqualify them from the championship completely:
BORTECH

The following drivers are hereby placed on probational status effective immediately:

The Widowmaker


What probational status means:
A driver's entire race from now on will be highly scrutinized once put on probation. One slip up and it's over. This means the racing marshalls are allowed to pull out any incidents from your race, whether they were reported on or not. If they're deemed to be legitimate offenses as confirmed by the panel of administrators then you're black flagged from the championship. If the driver under probation is a victim in an accident he wouldn't just be thrown out, he'd need to have unquestionably caused the incident or driven recklessly constantly in a race for his probation to be broken. A driver will only be disqualified from the championship if they cause an incident themselves, we will put the same amount of scrutiny toward any driver involved. A new rule in race marshaling has stipulated that any steward involved in an incident is to stay out of the discussion of their reported incident as well. All ends will be equal.

This is for continued disregard for Sporting Code rules of the road and an inability to adapt their racing styles for the sake of others. After too many incidents were reported with them involved and carefully scrutinizing their actions on track in the last few rounds we've found no improvement even after they've received penalties from previous races. We felt it necessary to take action before more incidents continue and we hope you all appreciate and understand why we needed to take such a route. If you have any concerns feel free to ask.

I'd like to declare that I'll not continue to race in this series. Not because there is something wrong with it, but since I'm a fairly new GT5er, I discovered that I need to focus more on my driving skills rather than tuning skills, and to win here you must master both. For the time being, I'm about to join another series which is a "spec" one where I can just hone my driving skills.
I really admire how this series is organized and I encourage all of the people in charge here to keep it up.👍
I feel privileged to meet all of the participant online and I wish for everybody all luck.
