My race report:

I hate the track, as in I'm bad at it. Was driving with 40kg ballast, which made it worse. Tried to keep up. Got hit and damaged; had to keep driving with damage if I wanted to maintain a slim chance of getting a decent top6 result. The car did something odd and I hit Sail_IC; got even more damaged too. Had to stop. Knowing I was at the back of everything, gutted, I just didn't care anymore and kept driving in last place until the end.

I have been working all this week from 7am to 9pm, and even though I was exhausted every day, I took time to practice for this. And this is what I practice for? I shouldn't have bothered.

Not sure of what to make of the race yesterday.

Did a tweak to the set-up prior to the race and managed several laps in the 2:02.2xx, so I was pretty confident going into the race.

Got a good start and managed to keep 2nd place into the first corner. Then everything went downhill from there. In the first 5 laps I had absolutely no grip. Driving I was convinced I was suffering from the on-line bug. Best lap was a 1:03.9xx despite some laps not interrupted by other cars. I could do a 2:02.xxx in my sleep.

Same thing happened at SPA. Then I thought it was the "tire heat bug", but I'm not that sure. I've been racing to much to be getting the "race shiver" too. I did the "stop watch" test, and couldn't dedect any difference. Something doesn't feel right but I cannot put my finger on it.

After falling down the race order and getting damage on lap 16 causing an extra pitstop I was second from last in the race. Pitted again and early to a final long stint on medium to make up some places, and managed a 7th in the end.

Well ..... Next race.

that sounds rather strange Johan, maybe your pace swapped onto me lol because when I was looking at my times I was a amazed lol

and twist if I get time I will look at my fastest lap which was a 2:00.9 however I feel it could be dirty on turn 4

There is definatley a difference between lounges and lobbies .
There is less grip in lobbies car is a bit more understeery.
I don't see the point in running in the lounge all week for quali and then hopping into a lobby just for the race.
There were plenty of connection issues with the lobby last night so there is no point in switching between the 2 IMO.

As for the race another chance went a begging for me lol
I went off on lap 4 and hit a wall and got damage so had to pit, I put on meds and tried to get back up to the front Which i nearly succeeded in doing, also was very agressive in passing to get through the field quick, apologies to anybody if I was a bit harsh, i was well pissed lol.

Nearly got 3rd in the end so Not too bad considering the crash.

I am wondering if we should return to the private lounges for the races. We just need to make sure whoever is 1st into the room (room owner) is someone with a good connection. The designated host can still run the pre race checks this way without being the host.
I think it's worth doing some testing during the week.

Can you post the fastest laps clean or not also, I need them for ballast purposes.
Ballast is applied on provisional results and until any Laps are ruled "dirty" they receive the points.

My 2:00.742 on Lap 30 is clean, the Lap 29 lap of 2:00.544 just runs slightly wide between Turns 2 and 3.

Twist,

I looked at my fastest lap, on lap 26 at 2:00.160, and I view it to be not clean. I'm slightly wide between turn 2 and 3.

My second fastest lap, lap 27 at 2:00.455 I view to be 100% clean. Please use this time when setting the bonus points for the race.

Confirmed 👍

Does my 1.55.5 count, or was it dirty?

These are provisional. This is how the ballast is awarded. The confirmed results will follow after complaints and reports etc. have been posted.
I haven't seen any replays yet, so I can't answer you, but all will be revealed in time 👍

Not sure how I am feeling about moving forward with this championship. I had the disconnect round 1. Got recklessly spun out with damage on the first lap of round 2. Got taken out again on lap 1 today with dmg, and was almost 1 minute down after fixing damage.

On top of it there was absolutely no sportsmanship from the person taking me out both times. Neither time did the person wait for me to rejoin. I also received no apology either time.

There are many people I enjoy racing with here. Unfortunately I don't get that joy when stuck running by myself after being put back a full minute after the first lap.

That is exactly how I felt at Spa (Especially when no-one got any punishment) :indiff: I think you should stick with it though, the battles you can have with the fast and clean drivers here more than make up for it. I'm still hoping that sometime in the season we have a battle, racing with you is great 👍

Mistakes happens and will in the future, by all of us. It think the key is how the person in fault acts after doing something wrong. The "gentlemans rule", ie to wait for the person on the recieving end is absolutely a must. To just drive on displays as you said no sense of sportmanship or respect for your fellow competitors.

But I do think you should continue. This league provides excellent racing. Don't miss out on it.

Ah man, I really think I should have won last night :( Still a good result for someone who doesn't practice hehe.

Might do a video on the race with some cometary if I have the time!

Like I said that isnt the OP that works of the link in this thread or in the main thread. Those rules were posted in the qualifier thread that is dead.

Can you insert that graphic into the main thread rules?

To be honest, about the whole sportsmanship issue, although I felt horrible at having my race ruined by somebody, I have to admit I felt worse about damaging Sail_IC's car. To me, that's just the worst thing you can do in a race.

Folks, I may not be at the race tonight after all. One of my sons had a hockey game this morning and they are now going to Semi-Finals and that game is later today and ends just before the race. I may not make it back in time.

Too bad, Nurb GPF is one of my fav tracks. PLC, PLEASE FINISH THE RACE for team Raybrig!

Who host the race tonight? Dom? overH? Hamilton?

(I don't really need to know, but i just want to know for going to bed with my mind clear ;) )
