Trust me, i spend a lot of time with the course creator and that's the narrowest it could go. Which isn't narrow at all :/ That's actually one of the reasons why there's only 1 snow stage for Sweden.

The grip in the pre-made tracks already in the game has very GT4 like grip - translation: non-existent - that's why i didn't choose any of them.

Now i didn't realize the weird force feedback (for steering wheels) with custom snow tracks since i tested all of them with the DS3 - in that case, i guess we could probably look into some of the chamonix tracks for the relaunch. We'll see about it :)

It's not a matter of trust. And i for one appreciate all your work and dedication to creating this very series 👍

I was referring to the supplied tracks and in some sections the switchbacks are very tight - fast 6 straight into 4R into 5R/5L into 2R into 1R hairpin into L1 hairpin into R1 etc :sly:

I was hoping this could be re-created in the Track Editor - alas not to be 👎

Bottom Line: GT5 sucks on Rally physics. Period. Probably due to the tire model, the dirt and snow tires must be really bad on GT5.

Try the Eiger trails and compare it to Liege. :)
I like the Eiger trails...:(

Hmmmm I'd say in some aspect that could be said of any form or racing in GT5.

I don't think rally is particularly "more incorrect" then other forms of racing in GT5 though, everything has some issues, I don't find rally to bad myself.

The series is being restarted but our times for Sweden still count? I'm a bit confused. I opted out of finishing Sweden in light of the series restart, but if our times are still being counted than ill finish up after work. Today (21st) is the last day right?

GT4 had no grip at all. The so called 'dirt' tires felt like slicks.

This time around (GT5), the liege theme, like i said, is a step in the right direction. Maybe it's time to bomb Kaz' twitter for a new tire model :sly:

Tree'd

@ Mike - No mike, all times will be wiped. We'll be restarting next week. I'll relaunch (possibly make another thread?) this weekend and invite some familiar fellas - hopefully they'll pull in some crowds themselves. Viral advertising. Spread the virus :D

I think that Eiger's road surface may be a different compound. Leige is gravel for example. Toscana (non-rally) is Tarmac, and it has a slippery feel (can't use dirt tires). But then there's a Toscana with dirt tires and it feels a little bit more slippery. Not as much as Leige. And then back to Eiger which has the most grip loss, probably due to the elevations and road surface???????

sorry i couldnt show up masi been all over the places with all my races forgot about this thread :nervous: (blame RTs Mx5 Series i cant get enough of the Mx5 TC :D)

GT5 simulates everything pretty well EXCEPT the tire model. Its just really bad, other than that I think GT5 is great. If they could get a contract with a tire manufacturer(Pirelli, Bridgestone, Michelin, etc..) we could get a decent tire model.

Back in the C4, gonna put on that new WRC Citroen racing suit and pretend to be Sebastien Loeb :sly:

this time im not missing out on my beloved subaru wrc 2003!

I had it before the restart, but went ahead with '08 just because of the cockpit view and because I already installed a stage 3 on my one and only '03. Sigh. Anyway, I wish I signed up with the '03 again, but oh well.

Anyway Masi, how are we doing the trials this time around?

Re-signed up on the same car:Peugeot 206. I was afraid someone had took it, but thank god they didnt. They would regret it though, if they had done such a thing. :sly:

Series will begin Monday.

New Mandatory Attendance Roll-Call will be put in place every week.

If you don't sign (metaphorically) the sheet, you will be dropped out of the championship. It takes just a few seconds to type up your name so its not asking a lot :)

I'll release the new schedule tonight.

EDIT: A few minor changes with RR (Rules and Regs). 2 drivers per car in Promotions Class as well.

So the run down is:
Series starts Monday, you open an all day room and we lap it under supervision until we get a fast hot lap? If you could explain the timing and procedure exactly id appreciate it. I assume we do this under a 1 lap "race"?

And we just sign up on the link, nice and simple right? Sorry about the questions but I'm an avid rally fan and can't afford Dirt 3 and it's fun-for-a-month concept :P
