I initially put in names and had no intention of hiding identity, at the same time trying keep people objective vs guys looking for justification. I got a warning for the post saying Im not allowed to put names in (hense all the car 1 car 2 blah blah ) no shaming on GTP allowed. So I couldnt only use my name as if Im out to get somebody. Had to play it like that IMO nothing wrong with that and pleases the rule makers.

I dont find the critisms totally fair but big deal. I dont call it losing control because I can do it on a dime and slide many cars as a way of driving them.

That must be out of control the whole lap. Zero assist even zero ABS. Its something most cars in this race do at some point or another unless using TCS I guess.

Yes I slide on purpose BECAUSE I knew I had room after diving in deep and CLEARLY I did have room. I race zero assist and the car can hold a good amount of speed out the corner if you get all up on it like that, that's why I didn't lose too much momentum. Had I seen anybody on my outside I would have had to adjust but since the door was open I tried to take it. Got passed by the better guy through that corner in the end tho. I dont think I caused the accident either as buddy saw me Long Time.

I had to fend off some rubbing at the end too, maybe buddy wasnt pleased I was taking the win, but I feel I won that race Fair & Square despite opinions on my control through that corner.

And Im S rank now Day 2 but really why is first day zero. Day 3 would be more apt.

There is no racing in that video and thats just hotlapping. Moreover thats not the quickest way around the track. If you had got your braking right you would have been first out of that corner not second.

We all know the difference between intentional slip and just sliding across the track because you went way too fast for the inside line. Which is exactly what you did. Look how much time you lost coming out of that turn, and you totally stuffed the 2 cars behind you. I simply refuse to believe that was intentional... and if it was, you're a complete loose cannon of a driver.

A total of 31 online oval races and an expert already?

I'll butt out now. I'm outta my depth.

If only GTSport was the first racing game lol

The RuF video just shows one can be in control when others either wouldn't be or think you're out of control. Racing you dont always take the perfect line, sometimes you make a move. In this case it worked out, moved up position and later took the win ;)

Dunno S thang didnt take long is it always day 2 or 3?

31 races is a long time...

Yes drifting looks cool and is fun, but would you drive like that while racing other cars? I really hope not. And as already pointed out, there is a big difference between drifting and just skidding through a corner.

Getting to SR S varies from person to person, but it's the number of races it takes rather than the number of days that is more important. Sadly that's not shown anywhere.

I'll likely not comment further as you seem to have already decided that you nailed the corner perfectly, but do you think everyone else is wrong and you are right?

I wish you well in your GT Sport journey. It's awesome fun and realising where you have gone wrong will only make you better. Like you said, in this instance it worked out so I feel that may be why the lesson has not been learned. A few instances of it not working out so well may help you more.

Nah I dont think I nailed the corner perfectly. Had I done so I would of not scrubbed off as much momentum and come out with enough speed to pass the leader before the next corner. I was barely able to keep enough momentum to hang on his rump. An overtake is seldom on the prefect line, you have to make some compromises to get in the window. It dont always work out

I can slide cars when I want to and why no its not the fastest way around a corner it is a way through a window sometimes. Its risky, you have to be in real deep and as everybody says IF proverbial IF somebody has been on my outside I would if had to make a adjustment. The thing is I knew I could get in deep enough to clear the cars and make the corner only thing I was on edge for was keeping as much momentum as possible while doing so cuz as said sliding aint the fastest way around a corner ;)

That's racing tho, I saw a window and took it. It dont always go your way but meh is what it is, got the W in the end

But I would not call that a slide into turn 1, that is what's known as a "push". When you slide or drift a car you still have control over where the car was headed, in other words the driver is driving the car. That T1 pass the car was driving itself due to the speed, the only control the driver had was trying to slow enough to not hit the wall. That would not work in traffic because you can not predict where other cars will be especially if they are not on the fastest racing line around the track. Once again that's why it is important to maintain the common racing line, the fastest way around the track. Why anyone would vary from the common racing I do not understand. I'm sure if you tried qualifying a few laps in that race using the most common racing line vs entering the corner way too fast and letting the car push up high you would quickly realize that the fastest way around the track is the popular racing line. As far as getting to an SR S in 3 days it depends on the amount of races run, some do it in a single day and it is important not to just be an SR S but to have an SR 99 to get matched in the best lobbies.

Thats a fair assessment. I appreciate the opinions posted.

I will no longer agree or disagree, it is what it is
