I do believe that's a Yak-19, but I haven't looked anywhere to confirm it.

Yeah, the -19 was a jet. D'oh!

OK, from something very pretty on to something very ugly:

I think its a Martin B-10. And I don't think it's ugly. Rather fetching actually

Dang, I thought that one would last a little while. Your go!

Yeah, Mike should get it. The only major difference between the A and B models are the type of ejection seats that are installed.

Can't help but add...

Not only was the original idea of an ejection capsule changed to conventional ejector seats, the maximum speed of the B-1B is only 1.2, while that of the B-1A is Mach 2...due to simplified inlets introduced on the B-1B. These were introduced mainly to increase stealthiness. It was also thought that a bomber penetrating at low-level would not need Mach 2 speed, after all, aircraft at low-level are strength-limited.

Due to introduction of RAM ast strategic locations, the deletion of the dorsal spine and the re-designed inlets, the B-1B managed to reduce the RCS to about 0.1 m^3. By way of comparison, the B-2 Spirit has an RCS of about 0.025 m^3.

As you can see, I love the B-1B :)

I think that is a Navion (sp?)

Not sure if it is North American or Ryan though.

That's a Ryan Navion. You're either cheating heavily, or on fire!
;)
Good job DQuaN!

That would be the one and only Blackburn Beverly (well, OK, it's not the only one).

OK, here we go! I've been up in one of these, too, like the T-28.

That is a Magister. The only reason I know is cos it shares the name with another Magister named plane.

Damn Neon. You been in a lotta planes *jealous*

Edit: Is it a Fouga Magister?

Yes, it's a Fouga Magister. Very good! I've only been in a lot of planes because I took flying lessons for a while, plus my neighbor was co-owner of a local airpark. I always thought he had CIA or other government ties because there were some very, errr, interesting paramilitary aircraft around. He took me up in the Fouga and in the T-28 (oxygen mask, helmet, buttpack parachute and all) for aerobatics. I've also been up in helicopters (he was getting his rotary license and needed stick time), and a 747 with just 3 people in it - him, the copilot, and me - that was bought used from KLM and was being delivered for conversion to cargo use. That was weird.

Your plane above looks like Hawker Seafury converted to turboprop and contra-rotating propellors. That should offer enough clues that I can track it down...

That sounds awesome. I have only been a passenger in a 747 :grumpy: . Doing aerobatics in a jet must be an amazing experience. My dad almost completed his pilots licence, but then married life put a stop to it and he never picked it up again.

Be wary of red-herrings..
