All right, then it's hard to tell without seing the wing plan, but if it's not a modified Sea Fury then the next most likely candidate would be the Supermarine Spiteful, which I didn't think served in the RN... but there Seafires, so there well might have been Seaspites.

[edit]

OK, I freely admit to liberal use of Google Detective Agency in this, but is it a Westland Wyvern? I know you have a prediliction for esoteric British prototypes...

OK, here goes:

That tail assembly looks a lot like a Blackburn Skua...

Edit: Damn. That was a tough one. Had to use google 👎 but I think it is a Blackburn Roc converted to a seaplane.

That was one rare plane Duke 👍

Good work, Mike! I knew you were on the right track.

I have to think a bit to come up with the manufacturer and name, but the one you just posted is a British glider and target tug used for towing equipment gliders and AA practice targets.

Thanks Duke 👍

More esoteric British planes....... :D

*edit: This plane has a name so practical that it makes one think that the designers really couldnt be bothered to give it a real name.

It lloks like a baby Avro Lancaster!

Strange, it looks post wwi, but pre wwii.
German?

Like I said before, I've lost control of the leader board after an absence. If you really care, go through the thread and count your score, and PM me the number.

It looks a bit like a Bristol Blenheim Mk IV but the under carriage is different.

Yeah, I think it's a Miles Target Tug, but I haven't been able to do any research to back that up.

Nope & nope.

Should I reveal all? I dont think anyone is going to get in in the next few hours.

Edit: Well the answer is................... an Airspeed Fleet Shadower of course 👍

Next turn to whomever.

Oh......of course!!

I haven't seen that before. Good find 👍

Ill have a go.............

Nobody will ever get this, but I have to post it, because it was designed and built by my cousin:

Well I googled a and got it so I wont answer now but; how could your cousin have built it if it first flew in 1931? No offence but you must be really old and he must be even older. (that is, if he did not die in the crash that was mentioned on the website. If so that's very sad)

No, he didn't die in the crash. And yes, I was born in 1965, and he is my cousin, despite being a generation ahead of me.

From what I have read your family seems to be pretty involved in avaition. Thats cool  . I guess that's why you are the best at this!

This one is right on the tip of my tounge, i'm pretty sure its a northrop but i can't remember any more.
