This is indeed the first prototype of the Me262 Schwalbe (hence filename: swallow) with a piston engine to test the airframe. It later had the jet engines fitted but kept the piston engine which was just as well because on the first flight both jets burned-out.neon_dukeI do believe that's an ME-262 HGIII prototype from about 1942. They put a Jumo 210 in the nose to test the airframe, because the jets were not available and they couldn't afford to wait for testing on the frame. The plane also had the underwing jets fitted.
