[GUIDE] Historic Racing Car Cup

I beat Deep Forest in the Challenger fairly easily but couldn't get anywhere near a win on the 2nd race.

I decided to try in my Ferrari 512BB (with all available tuning parts fitted and racing soft tyres) and won easily. I went into 1st at the 2nd corner and stayed there for the entire race, the GT40 was always there in my mirror but never caused me any trouble.

I just bought a Chaperral 2J and easily won the Monaco race in both A and B Spec. I'd previously struggled with a camaro, tuned lambo, toyota 7 and even the 20 million credit ford gt.

So I'd say the 2J is the easiest car to win with if you're only an average/poor driver like me. It did cost nearly 15 million but the two cars I won would have cost that much if I bought them anyway.

Best way to win is with a fully tuned Countach (Short Shift Gearbox) including spoiler. You will have to get to 1st as soon as possible and from there the AI seem to slow down a bit. If you are trailing after the 1st lap give up and try again. Probably one of the most satisfying races; I won the deep forest in front of 2x2Js and 2xToyota 7's... 80 mil of cars in the trusty old 'tach

I beat it with a Shelby Cobra that I won from something else. It wasn't easy, but it's definitely doable.

Mad respect for that! I tried that a few times, but usually gave up three corners into the race. One big slidefest with the 2J always getting away quickly. :grumpy:

For an easy win at this event, you need to be level 28 in either a-spec or b-spec, the daytona 500 is an easy win in any decent le-mans car or FGT, the prizes for winning are;

A-spec: Jag XJ13
B-spec: Ford GT40

Both are eligible to enter and are easy to win this event in

I won the older jag in what I believe was the Indy 500 enduro
I went back and decided to beat that level
Just had to vet out in front and DEFEND

I used my old, AC Cars 427 S/C´66 to save my hard earned credits.
Tuned it to the max, maxed out with every item from the store. 750bhp/1101kg.
Max speed 270kmH, LSD 21,47,27. Ride Height to lowest setting. Aid TCS 2 everything else off.
Its a beast! Super acceleration but takes some delicate handling, it will easily spin the wheels at 200 but it was good fun.

Gran Turismo 5, Ford Mark IV Race Car 67, Deep Forest with car settings used to win!!!

Hello All,

I was finally able to win this race with the Ford Mark IV Race Car 67, Deep Forest. Although as you will see it was not a perfect race but it was good enough with the settings I used to win. As you will see I was able to stay in first place for the entire race. The Toyota 7 made his customary late charge on the final lap but I was able to block him from getting around me.

Good Luck

I hope I was able to help!!!!!

I use a full tuned Countach and I easy win Monaco but deep forest is too hard.
what car can I use? I'm level 21 and I haven't lot of money

Hey, could I use the Nissan Xanavi Nismo Z race car for the allstars races and win with upgraded turboboosts??

I was thinking that the All Stars and Like the Wind events could be beaten with the Peugeot 908 LM race car. Is that not the case? Is that car not competitive at those events? I've saved up the $4M to buy the car and was going to do so soon to race those events but if it's not going to be competetive maybe I won't.

For the Historic Race Car Cup, I won on A-Spec with a Corvette Z06 Race Car I picked up in the Used Car Dealership, which I added pretty much all the mods on and some soft tyres. By the time I got round to B-Spec it, I'd managed to pick up a Chaparral 2J that just needed an oil change and tyres

i have also used the ZO6 max tuned slick soft tyres the most difficult was in deep forest
