Won both with: 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C2) Race Car.
Côte d’Azur: No biggie. Relatively speaking, anyway.
Deep Forest Raceway:
It's a two car race.
You vs. The Devil's Refrigerator. (Chaparral)
Some observations: I don't know if the starting positions change, but that's not what's important. All that matters is where The Evil White HVAC Unit is. Sometimes it gets a better position going into the corner than others. If it gets a good position and you can't pass it, you are toast. If you just reset it, it will keep getting the same position into the turn. But, if you go out out of the race completely and then go back in, its position at the turn may change. That's when you have a far more realistic chance. It's like 3rd/4th into the turn and not 2nd. Or something about like that. Take him on the inside. If you get cleanly ahead of him, it's pretty much yours to lose - albeit very easy to do so. There may be another car ahead of you, but you can pass it - as long as it's not The Fridge.
I noticed something really interesting about the behavior of the Toyota 7 (their tribute to the inclined plane): If you royally take out the Chaparral, the Toyota will be on you like flies on rice. But, if you just pass the Chaparral without shepherding it into a wall, it will stay behind you, and - the good part - the Toyota 7 will stay behind the Chaparral.
After you pass the Chaparral at the first turn, it's 5 laps of guarding the inside and blocking on the long straight. On some laps the Chaparral and Toyota sorta hang back. On others they are sitting in your backseat.
Odd note: I was leading after 4 a few times, but kept figuring out how to screw it up on the last lap. So, the next time I was ahead after 4, I started telling myself "two laps to go. one more after this one." I even said it out loud. I'm not sure if it had any real effect, but that's what I did when I finally beat it.
