Funny how you characterise Trudeau as "the leader of [Joel's] country" considering that you're both Canadian ...

To me it seems like the leader of one's country should have more common sense than to comment on the possible motives of the shooter before there is any evidence one way or the other.
That's how I read it, and I reckon that's what the intent was.

Was it that your language skills are at such a high level and you couldn't see a possible alternate interpretation, or that you were simply lured by the chance to get a jab in?

Don't read too much into it. Just a generic "your" nor referring to him specifically.

I had edited the quote of your post in my post to show how I read it. Now you've confirmed my reckoning.

To be clear, everything written in my post was directed at @prisonermonkeys, not you.
My mistake, sorry. Late night and I think my body is going through MSG withdrawls after eating too much buffet food last night:lol:. And yes, you got it right.

I just read the words as they were written. I only commented because when Trudeau was first elected, Johnnypenso posted words to the effect of "Trudeau doesn't represent my interests, so Trudeau isn't my Prime Minister".

Funny how he seems to expect people to accept right-leaning leaders as having been democratically elected, but refuses to acknowledge his own Prime Minister, who happens to be left-leaning.

I think you're really stretching here.

Let's assume that your approximation of the words submitted didn't bend the truth at all. Did you address it with him then? If so, why the need to do it again, especially considering that even interpreted as you supposedly read the recent post, it surely couldn't have been seen as the the main point of the sentence?

For someone that often accuses others of merely scanning posts for anomalies, to facilitate a sniping effort, you certainly seem to do a lot of it yourself. Not that that surprises me. In their base states, humans tend to expect from others what they are themselves. It takes some strength of mind to at least somewhat rise above that. I'm not confident, but good luck to you for the future.

What turned out to be my last ever interaction with Foolkiller was telling. We'd always gone pretty hard at each other on topics, and in a private conversation I raised the question of whether or not I had become just too annoying, and that we might possibly need a fresh start, and a "factory reset". I also explained that I'd learned a lot from his vast contribution to the forum. Well, he effectively shrugged and said "Nah, we're fine. You're good fun, and my most valued arguments happen with smart people". I was above honoured. I think that some don't realise how much of a harmony there is beneath the little "war games" that us people play in here - and I think that we really do need to see it as somewhat a game, and not a ruthless "divide and conquer" tour of duty.

What a great place we have.
