H-Pattern Shifters Enduro

Wow some major variations in lap times!

I was on Sport Soft tires, by the time I realized it I didn't have another 20 minutes to put in to set a better time. I can't imagine it would be much better though, I'm apparently absolute rubbish at using the clutch in GT5.

Ill be hosting a clutch only room starting in an hour or so. Add me on psn if youd like to join me for practice. I know i can get a 38 so i need to prove that to myself lol.

Go man! Go!

I'd join but I'll be at the bowling alley until 9:30 or later.

Lebowski, yes. That's what I think of whenever somebody mentions bowling...........or White Russians.

That and King Pin are excellent bowling flicks.

I really like King Pin. Hopefully nobody gets Munsoned next Monday. ;)

I likely will get Munsoned, but it will probably be my own doing. :dunce:

Kingpin is a top-shelf classic. 👍

Yea that's fine by me. The fuel will be gone long before tires
Technically, there is also a benefit. It allows for a painless pit after lap 4, hence a little lighter load for 3 laps and significantly lowers the possibility of being held up in the pits. Not the reason I'd prefer those though. I just like the feel of sport tires a lot better on this car, to get the most out of RH I have to throw the car into some corners.

Well, I think I'll try it in some practice race first and then decide what to do on Monday.

I suppose there'd have to be. A state they are in more often than not.

My son has a soccer game late Monday, the gas pedal on my g27 is spiking/staying on-basically making it inoperable, and I was called in to work for a late shift starting right after my son's game. This is the complete opposite of stars being aligned.

I hear cleaning the pots with dielectric cleaner can fix that gas pedal. Don't know what to tell you about the rest of it but it could be the stars did align just so you couldn't race?

Maybe the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligned with Mars?

There's sign-up going on for a practice race on Sunday night in the SNAIL thread.

Working in the am and then watching the game in the evening. Hopefully get time to spray the potentiometer again before the game. Probably try to actually open it up this time to give it a proper cleaning.

I swapped potentiometer from my brake to my clutch. Fixed the problem instantly and never had to look at it again.

I did that for my brake, but my gas pedal has been acting up lately. Sprayed it a couple months ago but the issue is back.

Oh yeah, I have to spray mine every couple of weeks, but five seconds of spraying beats actual work. I use CRC QD Electronic Cleaner.

Open practice race tonight. Use any trans and shifting method you like.

I'll post room number around 8pm.

I'll be practicing here in a few. Since my connection is not the best I will likely just head to one of Owens alt lobbies. Won't be able to practice at 8. :(

A couple pics from last night's 5 lap practice race. Don't ask me who's who. I know where I was for these.

While you were having that "close" racing experience we all hope for, some of us, mainly me, were really competing in the "Skip your ridiculously expensive, classic, Alfa Romeo racecar, across the German countryside" contest.

See my entry where this;
