ITCC 3 R5 follow-up:

No penalties.

Warnings for blocking:

Turbo_snail - last lap battles happen, hard racing happens, but please don't cause car contact. No one wants to be the guy in the spin [the guy in front] or lose decision making process. Please don't block, especially on the last lap with emotions riding high. You're likely going to end up facing into a wall, when you meet someone more forceful than I.

Warnings for awkward race starts:

Jammy - Please line up in the correct grid positions at the start. This won't result in a penalty, but it did lead to some Turn 1 carnage.

Warnings for corner cutting:

Everyone - be sure not to corner cut. Last warning.

Congratulations to turbo_snail on his first victory, and whiskymaser's first top 5 qualifying position! :)

ITCC R5 Run Group A points update:

Turbo_snail and whiskymaser score more points this week than any other week.

MrM/Jammy: 92 points
Turbo_snail/Ciro: 79 points
Siggers: 78 points
whiskymaser: 59 points
buck: 58 points
nascarfan1400: 31 points
Adam46: 30 points

Bold/Italic names scored last place points for disconnects in Race 2.

Wait? Am I still in after we all cooled off? Or am I just scoring points?

I sort of feel like the first place guy can block on the last lap if he\she wants to. As long as you dont whine that YOUR block was the 2nd places fault.

If it's the last lap, I'm going to do everything in my power short of intentionally dumping someone to win the race. I expect others to do the same, and I'm usually more lenient on last-lap incidents.

Last lap or not, there's a difference between blocking and general defensive driving. The same rules apply in race craft regardless of the lap. More than one move down a straight when someone's faster or driving in such a way as to cause incidents, squeezing people off track. All of those are against the rules of race craft, both in real touring car championships and online. If someone's faster, they're faster. I didn't see the incident or whatever. I'm just speaking as someone who has chosen to race in a league rather than shuffle racing it out in the open lobby with 12 year olds.

I chose to follow my own path. Destroying people in Lexii. I still race here from time to time but my luck is certainly not on my side :ouch:

Yet I'm mostly done with GT5 as of now.

About the straight blocking, the draft in this game feels like a superpower :scared: I'm not sure if it's like this in real life but it feels wrong in GT5 to me. I might be wrong and draft is a marvelous superpower only reserved to those sticking behind the other drivers. Maybe the Aero simulation in Granus Turismus 6 will fix the drafting a bit.

No wonder, I always felt it was ridiculous, it easily turned the last straight on the last lap into second place guy beating you :ouch:

Yep, have to agree! It's nice when you get the draft, but the next thought is always: "How am I gonna defend my position now??" 👎

And then you resort to blocking to be able to defend. It happens kids.

So back on topic, I probably won't race this saturday as I will be busy doing a chemical story.

Shhhh Nas Jesus

You're revealing everything, I'm gonna fire you if you keep talking about our stuff.
