Good to see your spirits high again Andy, I knew something wasn't right when you were playing cod after Saturdays race haha.

A friend of mine was also having a rough time. I joined her to cheer her up. Don't expect much CoD. Expect much GT5/GT6. :)

Anyone put any laps down yet?

Yes, roughly 2'00 was my first lap. (or maybe second.)

Anyways, I'm about to do points, maybe. Girlfriend bailed on plans (feeling ill), and the car's too wet for electrical work. :(

Had a little bash last night and could only get around 2.00.400 consistently but did get a 091 and a 59.9 but they were perfect laps.

I'm guessing Caine will be in the 58's.

As a participant in the first ITCC I've looked in on future iterations of the series because it's the type of cars I like to race and if it's ever sorted out into something coherent I may return. I'd like to throw out a suggestion to help resolve Mel's ongoing dilemma with race review, incidents, penalties etc.

1. The onus of resolving all issues should lie with the participants first. Drivers need to PM each other about incidents and try to resolve them on their own before it ever reaches a steward. This eliminates 75% of complaints right off the start. A copy and pasted reprint of all discussions that include specific descriptions, times on replays etc., is a must, should be sent to stewards, and anyone called on an incident must participate in the process and be civil. If you refuse to answer the PM's of a fellow driver or act like a d-bag in your PM's, you should be penalized for that, outside of the normal driving/racing penalties. Basically stewards should be there to assist people who cannot work out there differences, not as a babysitter or Daddy to those that need one.

2. If a complaint reaches a steward that really should have been resolved through PM, and it's blatantly obvious who is at fault, the penalties should be more severe. If two adults can't look at a replay and see an obvious issue, then the penalty should be more severe for wasting the stewards time, in addition to the penalties handed out for the behaviour in question.

3. The only incidents that should reach a steward are those that really could go one way or the other. In this case the steward has no choice but to resolve the incident the best way they see fit.

4. You cannot hand out warning after warning after warning and expect drivers to be clean. The only thing people respond to is reward and punishment. Some things like blatant divebombing, not giving back positions after running someone off the course etc., should be penalized on the first incident. Reward clean driving by calling it out in your thread, punish dirty or poor driving with position penalties and/or eventual banishment. Otherwise you end up with what you have here.

5. No discussion of incidents on the race thread. This is like a cancer, it poisons and ruins the thread. On the other hand, if the RD is not dealing with incidents and just handing out meaningless warnings, it's inevitable people will air their differences in the main thread. Follow steps 1-4 and 5 won't be an issue. If it is, one warning and then the hammer drops.

Have only done about 5 laps around Daytona this week, and managed some mid 59's. 58's could well be possible, especially with slipstreams. Time will tell :)

Is Sig still doing this, or was he kicked out? I am so confused by the recent happenings :indiff:

Who knows what's going on with who anymore.

2cv is yours , let me know when you want it 👍

I'm ready to dazzle at daytona :):) how many will be there later :nervous:

I am in the lobby now, not sure quite what is going on either or if any stewarding has been done

Oh right. Well, I'm not going to be there this week at least. I quite like Daytona, but with that first turn and that chicane on the 'Superstretch' section I can envision problems occurring, and the last thing I need today is more drama. So yeah, not today. I might come out to play tomorrow, depends on what goes on outside of GTP.

Sure dano, will send later ok

Well, from my P.B sectors a 1'58 is possible, but I don't think I could manage it in 1 lap. a 1'59.3 is my current P.B lap.

Good racing today! We're in the home stretches of this season. 3 rounds (10, 11, and 12) to go.

With that, take note: Rd. 12 is Nürburgring 24hr. Course. Practice will be vital, because staying on the track is difficult.

Bumping will be frowned upon more severely in the upcoming rounds, since it will directly affect the championship, which is more close than you might think.

However, with that said, it doesn't have to be the steward's problem unless no other agreement can be reached.

So, Indy, Laguna, and Nürb 24hr is all that we have left, it should be fun! :)

Not looking forward to Indy... its my most hated track in GT5! Laguna + Nurb though, can't wait!

I know its getting a little ahead, but how are you planning on doing quali at Nurb? Obviously its such a long lap would take ages to do, how about just starting in championship order and adding an extra lap to each race so the finish time is about the same?

Caines idea about nurb Q is a good idea 👍

Who won tonight and what was the poll time?
