High School

My high school sucks.. the teachers wait until the end of the semestre to do all the tests, people do what they want in class , everyone is agressive (lots of fights) , the food sucks and there's grafitti everywhere ...

ohh yeah! we also have to wear uniforms ://

I just found out that my school(s) is the largest buyer/seller of coke, out of any establishment, in the entire state of michigan
I'm suprised that we aren't all fat :P

I thought you meant a different coke there at first.

Today was an okay first day. It was nice to meet some of my teachers but I know there will be a few teachers that will "grind my gears" because they are teachers (They act in a certain way. I can't really explain it). I got an actual homework assignment instead of the normal "Have your parents sign these. This will be your first homework assignment". I also have a project due next week.

This is year is going to be annoying because of the stupid school rules. For example, always needing a pen to fill out your hall passes. A teacher is located at every bathroom so you can sign in/out. You can only have 1 ear bud in. No headphones at all (I still will use mine but I will put it away when I get to my locker). Too cap off the first day my school has new slogans like "Believe in yourself" and "Be Creative".

I feel confident coming into the school year. I guess it has something to do with me being a junior.
Wow, I'd feel lucky to even have those things, providing this is a high school. In England, no earbuds of any sort inside school, at least 2 pens ruler rubber etc everyday otherwise detentions, no vending machines/places to buy food/drink that isn't the canteen, no jewellery no matter how small. The list goes on.

Are you sure your not talking about prison. The school admins were fighting pretty hard for no ear buds or headphones at all but too many people listened to music even the Teachers used them sometimes. The Pen is stupid because teachers always sign passes in pen so you can't erase it to save an extra slot. No vending machines even though we do have a place to buy food/drinks excluding the lunch room. Jewelry gets stolen the second you take it off.

My school is only strict when it comes to lateness (Whether that is class or school), absences, and dress code. No uniforms so they crack down on any slight infringement on dress code and will discipline accordingly (Unless you are Black.) I will have to take pictures of my school and post them here.

I'm missing my 2nd day in a row since I have the cold. Making up schoolwork and homework will be hell, but I've gotta do it. :(

Asked a girl to homecoming.

She said yes.

Yeah nothing is more heartbreaking than being forced to do your tasks writhing in awful physical shape. :(

School was really boring (again). At least soccer and robotics make it better.
Had a soccer game today, and we won 4-1 (I scored my first goal!)

I got written up because someone knocked my cereal out of my hand and I refused to clean it up.

I would have (tried to :P) forced the other person to clean it up for me.

I heard very loud music down the halls today, and it turns out that someone has a sterio system built into his backpack

Moved out to start college in August. Can't believe I'm saying this but I kind of miss highschool, never realized how fun it was. College is great but there are definitely some parts of HS I miss.

Well, today we took all 7000 of us to the football field to spell out P-CEP (Plymouth-Canton Educatuonal Park) on the field, while a helicopter came overhead and took a picture of it... Was pretty cool

We did this along with a pep rally

We just do DTHS with 2,000 people and have someone in the bleachers take a picture...

This was probably the roughest week I've had yet.

First, I missed Monday and Tuesday due to sickness, which I already pointed out. Then I started getting in a very bad mood in general and couldn't focus properly. Today, I learn that someone I am starting to become friends with is moving to Maryland and I have no means of contacting that person (I did give that person my Skype but I think it was accidentally thrown away), then comes me lagging behind in Engineering class due to having no clue how to do some things that are obvious. :grumpy:

Third week. Third time's never the charm. But after hearing that Jeff Gordon made the Chase, most of that bad stuff from school seems to have gone down the drain. :D

Fridays don't mean as much when you've got twelve hours of marching band on Saturday. That is no exaggeration, I literally have practice from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. And the football team/school doesn't even appreciate it. Kind of seems silly. Though we do compete and there judges can appreciate it, somewhat, even though we aren't very good.

On the upside, we moved on from math review in Physics today and began learning real physics today. Even though it's really basic I'm already finding it quite interesting. We learned about speed, velocity, displacement, etc. I think it will be a cool class.

Today I didn't have school but had field day instead. Basically, everyone gets divided into teams of 8-10 people and we do stuff like soccer and ultimate frisbee the whole day. My team failed miserably in almost everything but it was still really fun.
Only issue is that I'm really tired now and I work at 7am tomorrow.

Nice, lol... Canton seems like suck a popular city name: canton, mi; canton, ohio; canton georgia; canton, ma....

I live by Canton Michigan. All I know it's that Plymouth Canton has a good marching band.

A rumor has been going on about one of my friends though it is not a rumor it is true. It seems when you tell one person half of the school knows a few hours later.

Im back guys. Feels good. So the do yall know the SAT not the elamentary and junior high one. This one is the scholarship to college one. It seems that my school really likes me because i was 1 of 10 10th graders chosen to take the practice or psat which is (from what i understood) still very important. Does anybody have any tips? I also just found out that guardian was banned off of here. What did he do?

At my school, every sophomore in the program - including me - will take the PSAT later next month. While this advice isn't coming from someone who actually aced the SATs (yet), what I can definitely say is practice as much as you can.

only 10? All the sophomores and juniors at my school have to take it.
I looked through the study/practice test book thing and all of the questions were pathetically easy. So don't worry about it, it will be super easy.

Ours is optional, but recommended. I already took it last year, so whether I take it or not depends on it being on a day that has gym during it and it isn't during the floor hockey unit.

The PSAT was optional for us but highly recommended. Most people did end up taking it.

The hard part about the SAT isn't the content of the questions, but rather the way the questions are asked.

I have a huge soccer game today. If we win we'll clinch 2nd place in conference and won't have any away games for the conference tournament, plus its my school's homecoming.
