High School

When I went to school my teacher put me on detention on the last day of school it was only for five minutes and it was the only detention I had from my teacher that year. I don't know why she never wanted to put me on detention ?

So I've been in my new school for a week now. I've made 3 friends in my French 3 class, but they're all juniors so I rarely see them any other time. My French 3 class is all upperclassmen because I took a year of French in my middle school. I don't have any other friends yet in my other classes. I'm not the outgoing friend-making sort of person. Lunch is worse because I don't have anyone to sit with. On the first day, a group of the bad seniors invited me to their table. The next day I decided to sit on the other side of the cafeteria. I have to take gym/health with freshmen, because I want able to take health at my old school freshman year so I have to make up for it now to be able to graduate. My US history class is good. I love the teacher. He's hilarious. All my other classes are just meh to me. But I regret not taking the AP class now. Maybe I'll be able to switch into it, but it's most likely too late. The honors pre-calculus class is easy too easy. My old math class was taught differently and followed it's own separate curriculum than other classes and is taught by the school's math team coach, who's the best teacher ever and has his own wikipedia page. I can't take any other higher level math class because of prerequisites. So I'm bored to death during that class. Luckily, my friends back at my old school are going to send me their notes from that class.

I know, I need to make friends, talk to people, be more outgoing, etc. but I just don't have the courage or confidence to do that.

You're the new kid that everybody is going to take a fond of for about two weeks. That should make it a bit easier to socialize with some people; there's a brand new student at my school who came all the way from Taiwan to my little town of Abbeville. I saw her on the first day of school and quickly make friends with her and it didn't take very long for her to gain some friends. Even though she's from out of country, living in a different environment is similar to you both.

Hm... AP classes? I'm currently in AP Calculus. It's definitely a jump from Pre-Cal, but believe me: what I learned from Pre-Cal and Trig is coming right back for round five. If you have a good understanding of Pre-Cal, try to get it switched with the guidance counselor. There should be roughly a week of flexibility to switch classes; then again, I don't know how other schools work.

I would just take a load off if it's easy to you. The Freshman/Sophomore years are easier than the Junior/Senior years... or so is the case here.

Kinda pointless information from me, but it's something related to high school.

Anyone else taking a dual-credit class as a senior?

I'm a very quiet person, but I know a lot of people and only about 1/4 of them are actually my friends. The more people you know, chances are you will get more and more friends. I don't talk much to my friends because I lack greatly in self confidence, but I'm almost finished Yr 11 and I go into Yr 12 next term (the last 2 years of high school).
Just try to learn other people's names and if they are nice to you, ask to be friends either in person or over Facebook or Twitter or Instagram.(I only have Facebook). good luck :) .

You wanna ask about high school? Ask my sister. Shes just enter one.

Me? Well it was a good day. I enjoyed it while last. And now..... its pretty much the same idiot as i was. I dont magically became non slacker, still had no idea what path i will take, etc. Probably only more legal stuff.

Been in my senior year for juat over a week now. They say to make your senior year the best, and so far, I think it is. Here's a rundown of my schedual:

1- US Economicw
2- Language Arts
3- Study Hall
4- Gym (Tuesday, Thursday) Study Hall (M, W, F)
5- Chemistry
6- Lunch
7- Trigonomitry
8- Home Improvment
9- Production Technology (Wood Shop)

Only classes I hate are Econ, because everybody hates the teacher, and lers face it, it's Econ. :yuck: Trig is ok, the teacher's kind of different, but once I get used to him, I'll be fine. I only moderatly hate Home Improvment because all the other teachers and students absolutly hate this teacher. He's...not the sharpest knive in the drawer, and I personally don't find him good at teaching, but hey, I might learn something.

Besides that, senior year is going to be a blast. I can't wait for the talent show in December. It'll be my fourth and final year in it, playing with my band. Cool fact is, I'll have played a different guitar in it for every year. :D

Year will pretty much be a cakewalk. Just get the work done and I'm outta here! Only major setback is the senior project: Need a job shadow (Done), 2-3 college visits, and 25 hours of community service, which need to be done before mid January, aswell as a bit of paperwork that I can do in two days tops. Just need to find the time off of work to finish it all!

Class of 2016: We're Kind of a B16 Deal.

My German II class is overloaded with Freshmen. Oh boy. :banghead:

(No offense if anyone here is a Freshman.)
