She is starting to appear more and more lately. If she does run for president she is most likely going to win for sure. Anyone else think she is going to be the next president?

What on earth makes you think she's likely to win if she runs?

Here's a more accurate image:

Jebus, in that shot she looks like a white Penny Johnson Jerald. Which, if you've watched any 24, is a bloody scary concept.

She's only quite likely to do well if people don't really take any interest in her approach and just vote because she's a well-known senior political figure. Which has never happened in the... oh.

Hillary has so many skeletons in her closet. She should be in jail for the whitewater scandal. She has blood on her hands and never took responsibility for what happened in Benghazi.

@Slashfan , No.

I'm not saying I will vote for her, and I don't necessarily want her. I'd need to see who would run against her, but I always try and vote for the lesser of the 2 evils.

We need to get rid of everyone in Congress and start over.

Never going to happen.

Really?

I'd rather not vote for any evils, thanks. Then they can't say I gave them a mandate to be evil and I have no responsibility for the evil they beget.
Obama will be leaving office regardless.
Unless he changes the Constitution to suit his own ends.

And since when has he ever don... oh.

Hmm. Not really sure on this one. She's okay, and is almost certainly going to be better than whatever nutter the Republicans put up against her (when was the last time they put up a good candidate, anyway?), but the real problem, as people have said, is that congress is a bunch of idiots.

Also, Obama a king? He hasn't even done anything as president!

It's mainly Congress, but I'm sure he's behind the scenes on a lot of the things they are publicising. He's probably just staying quiet in that regard.

He has no power over congress. If he was behind the scenes like you say, do you think he'd have let the government get shut down?

Hard to say with him. It's not like we really know though. My gut feeling says no, but then again...he is Obama...

She's too old. Hillary is not going run. The DNC is not going to push someone who would be in the second half of their 70s at in their second term. It's as simple as that.

A betting man may be tempted by Hillary, since she's by far the leading candidate in all Democrat polls, and the Republicans are currently down, and fighting internally over their leadership and agenda.

But personally, I think Hillary has seriously blotted her copybook with the Benghazi affair, much of which has yet to be revealed. And there are some other potential scandals waiting in the wings to cripple her candidacy.

Oh how I wish that wasn't the truth.

She is a well known name to most Americans, I would shocked if the DNC doesn't pick her. Most of my family is rabid DNC'ers and they are ready talking about working in her campaign.

I can't see a republican win the next elections as all they do is (or so it seems) is sabotage Obama in stead of working for solutions and normal politics.

So who ever the democrats will send will probably win. Or will it be an independent?

It will be a Dem the republicans have no one who can match the name recognition of Hilliary. The independent Gary Johnson(my states old Governor) did horribly and didn't carry a single state in '12 sadly I don't see that changing.

Snowball, Hell, Chance...Pick two.

You'd figure this or the last election might be chance when voters of both parties might realize and channel their frustrations into the backing of a true third party candidate...but I think there's just too many ideologies for people to agree on a single "third" candidate. One of the best things about democracy is also one of the impediments towards cracking the two-party wall.

People are just likely to bite their lip or hold their nose and choose either Coke or Pepsi.

The Republicans presented multiple working budgets that would have prevented the federal shutdown, but the budgets were not accepted because they didn't fund the "Affordable" Care Act, which is affordable by neither the people having to buy it, nor the country as a whole.

The ability to oppose policies you disagree with is what makes the multiple party system work. Yes, Hillary is a recognized name. I recognize the name as a socialist, possibly a criminal, with an awful lot of things in her past that she hasn't answered for, and who belongs nowhere near the White House.

As to who the Republicans will put up?? Who knows.

Anything to get Obama out of office at this point.

That attitude is how Obama got there in the first place. "Anything to get Bush/Republicans out of office."

I can definitely see the Democrat party propping her up. She's a well-known figure to the majority of Americans and she's the husband of a president who really wasn't too hateful to those same Americans. On the plus side, she's much less horrific a choice than Obama ever was. On the downside, she's basically Angela Merkel's sister-in-law.

She won't be winning the next election. The Democrat party won't be winning the next election no matter who they prop up.

What I'm hoping for is that Rand Paul makes love to the Republican platform, wins the Presidency, then becomes a raging libertarian in office. If you're gonna lie about your stance at least flip-flop in a good way.

Who would defeat Hillary? Right or wrong, the Republicans lost of face with the shut down and don't have anyone high profile that can match Hillary s name recognition. I wish that wasn't the case but it is what it is.

Hillary would just seal the deal on the downfall of this country. And I don't think the Republicans lost as much face as you think despite the attempt of the liberal media. They actually did the right thing with the shutdown. Obama made a lot of choices to shut a lot of things down that were completely funded in order to try and score political points when in fact everything except Obama Care(which the vast majority of the country doesn't want) was funded.

But who knows...this country doesn't want to work hard anymore, everyone wants to punish success and pretty much has their hand out. A lot of people can't seem to figure out that you can't tax a country into prosperity and you can't expand the middle class by shrinking the upper class. Not a very bright future unless some of the idiots in this country wake up.

No I agree with you that they did the right thing and Obama care is a bad deal for most Americans but it seems the Dems came out on top on this one from what I am hearing from even non political folks. Don't shoot the messenger believe it or not we are on the same side.

Rand Paul is pretty good at slaying democrat assholes.
