Hey Toyomatt, I need tires, so I thought "just wait till spring, then throw on some new shoes" since mine aren't as nice as they were 8 years ago and found these on another board. They're only an hour away, so no shipping, but was wondering what you thought of the price.

*Edit* Swapped them over to Image Shack, hopefully they're working better now.

No idea on the price but I can say those are damn sexy rims. Like pornography. 👍

Also the image hotlinking does not work, I had to reload the URLs. Swap them over to imageshack or something ;)

Lately they're 1600 USD+ for 4 rims only, with no tires on them...

Methinks it's not a bad deal at all...

If you can fit 4x114.3, that's a decent deal. A standard price I pay for MF8's would be around $800 (USD) shipped, without tires (or with ones that aren't worth saving), so that's not a terrible deal. 👍

A good thing to note, is that they come with the center caps. A lot of wheels I purchase/deal with come without caps, which is a nuisance since I have to hunt them down.

Not to change the subject or anything but I now officially know that I can fit into an S2000 👍 Now I just have to graduate college, get a good paying job, and buy an S2000. If anyone was wondering, I went to the Chicago Autoshow today 👍

SRV2LOW4ME:

I would definitley pick those mugen rims up! I love those rims:tup:

You going to the auto show? Its gonna be at rogers center from friday the 16th to the 25th I believe.

Thats subjective ^^^. What would you call expensive? I would think that the type R would hold its value well and therefore be expensive if thats what you mean.

Yep, that's what I mean, thanks. I found one in a local Honda dealership and it costs € 12,000 (15,600 USD $). 8 y.o. and around 103.000 km (64,400 miles).
I find that a little over the top for an eight year old car.

toyomatt84 - Hmm, thanks for the info, I think i'm going to message him and maybe take a look at em. Who knows, I might be Muge'd out this summer.

DDMv2 - The rims are just on the other side of Toronto, I'm surprised you haven't heard about them for sale on any of the other message boards. I was planning on going this saturday, but unfortuantly I think I'll be working OT. :indiff:

Honda Prelude - Not bad. Although I don't know about the automatic part. My advice, find a donar car and do a tranny swap. Best mod you'll ever do.

kikie - Here in Canada, thats in the high end of the price range. If the car is in good condition though and hasn't been beat on, I'd say its worth it. It will hold its value well, and its one hell of a fun car to drive. 👍

I am not a fan of that particular wheel IMO Mugen has made better looking things.

I've seen ITRs go for less but decent examples still go for in the 15k range.

I went by the place that I had my old EF sitting after I wrecked it and they still have that prelude sitting there. It was missing the head and some things from the interior. I'm thinking the guy must have given up on fixing it and gave them the car to pay for whatever he owed them.

Yeah thats what I was thinking... Only thing is I dunno that I'd have the money left over to get it running again so it could be sitting outside my house with half an engine for a long while.

Oh how I wish jobs grew on trees... I got my license back the other day and have put in at a few places since but nothing special.

How much did they want for that lude? you might be able to pick it up super cheap.. The problem is going to be convincing your parents to have a broken car sitting outside their house lol.

I haven't asked. Way back when I still had my EF out there they said the owner was out of town and I never heard anything more. I don't even know if they have the title. I've been afraid to ask.

Oh wow. Us Ohioans have no idea what it's like to deal with snow like that. We've just gotte about 6 inches and ice on top of that, and it's the END OF THE WORLD. Not even VTEC can save the day!

Looks like you got the same snow storm we did. I just left work and had to walk through snow drifts that were taller then my knees just to get out the door. I'm afraid to go out back and check on the 'lude. :scared:

On a semi related note: Putting off sticking your car in storage for the winter just because you'll miss driving it and don't want to haul around town in a minivan is a bad idea.

man, snow is only in my dreams down here.

edit: its gonna be like 40 degrees celcius here in the next few days. . . work that out in your weird farenheit stuff and i think you'll find it bloody hot!

We hit 40 a couple of times here during the summer. Great fun when you own a black car with black leather seats and a chrome shift knob. 👎

They would be paying for it one way or another if they did. Trust me on that.

There was a huge amount of snow under hood. After brushing it away from the intake I proceeded to get the car stuck trying to rock it back and forth so I had to dig it out.
