Well,

I've just ordered a G27. With shipping and Taxes, it came to just under $300, where as the regular price, direct from Logitech before shipping is $350.

The only glaring problem right now is that I have nothing to mount it to. May end up having to "borrow" a table, but it might be a little bit too high.

But who cares? :) 👍

 Best choice you could make, especially since its fully supported now. Congrats. THe first little while you will suck ass with the wheel but once you get used to it your gonna take off like a few seconds compared to if you were on the controller.

If your a handy man you can always make a wheel mount that you can attach the wheel to.

So mule i heard you talking about how the new Dodge Touring Car "Rm" is yours does that mean your making that series after this??

Yeah, I got the wheel yesterday.

Holy ****. It's at least 50x harder than I imagined it'd be. I'm all over the place. :nervous:

Once you get used to the FFB, the feel of it, you will be fine. It takes a while though, I took about a month to get used to it. But with time, you will get there. 👍

took me a few days to get up to speed but the wheels FFB dulls down after a while to its proper levels as my DFGT when first bought had way too much kick back but once used a bit it becomes much more constant

I'm going to the Indy race here in Vegas tomorrow and it's going on from morning till well into the afternoon so I'll unfortunately have to miss Tsukuba.

Have fun though guys, and get that replay up asap, you don't understand how happy it made me to be able to fast forward and rewind!

aww no wardez for Tsukuba makes paul a sad boy , have fun at the Indy race at vegas though 👍 (pics would be nice as i never really see indy cars :sly:)

Remember guys, sending me a message on PSN asking for something important = bad idea.

who sent you what? lol

Anything really important?? (curiousity killed the cat :sly:)

Sweet. I recommend turning the FFB up a bit in the options. I think the default is 5/10. I like 7 or 8/10. But you have to be careful about wrist injuries when the FFB level is high, especially when using the H-shifter since only one hand is steering sometimes.

Be sure to give your wrists a thorough stretch before any racing and take breaks in any case. Safety first!

PS, has Nurb officially been substituted out for Spa? (It still says Nurb in the OP.)

Suspiciously after the long Le Mans race I felt my shoulder going bad and it's been hurting for the whole week. That was the longest time I've been driving non-stop with a game, but still... my shoulder? I was under the impression only wrists were at a risk. Apparently shoulders too.

I recommend starting with FFB low, and gradually increasing it, but you will probably run slower with it then the DS3 for a bit until you get used to it, it sucks, but you won't regret it in the end. 👍

BTW - I/we got the lovely advanced notice an hour ago that my gf has to work tomorrow...starting at 4, so I won't be able to make it.

Hey mule. Any chance I can grab a provisional for tomorrow's race as I couldn't wait around while you did whatever you had to do. I was there till 23:33 BST
Cheers

I was waiting until 2am GMT+1, and I had to leave since I'm waking up early tomorrow. I did a qualifying session with Soishiro_37. I'm not sure how legal or valid it would be, but we went by the official rules, so obviously a single try, 4 laps on it, and we have replay if needed! :)

Times are as it follows:

GV27-: 57:129
Soishiro_37: 58:165

okay, so basicially, working nights sucks, and I fell asleep while people were in the room.

So I guess what I'll do is let everyone qualify before the race tomorrow. I'll open the room early to give enough time for everyone.

Sorry guys :/

It's actually pretty hilarious that you fell asleep then.

Hopefully you guys have fun tomorrow, I'm a big fan of Tsukuba myself. :(

But what if he falls asleep mid-race?

I know how it is though, been working late second or third shift for almost the entire time of my life since I was 16, 12 years of late nights = I'm up all night, every night.

MULE, I'll have to ask just in case. Do Soishiro and I have to qualify as well? Need to know if I have to join early or not.

And don't worry about falling asleep yesterday. We're human, it can happen :)

Not officially, yet. When the poll closes, then it'll be official. But it's safe to assume that we'll be switching, seeing as how lopsided it is.

Pretty much what I've done. The default was 5, but that was a bit too much for me, so I went down to 2, now I'm back up to 5.

GV, I'll go ahead and say that you should quali again. Not that I don't trust you, but just to be fair to everyone else.

Sure, makes sense! :)

I wanted to have something just in case others were to do the same. I didn't want to be too naive and end up without a time. I'm fine with qualifying again. Thanks for your hard work, mate! 👍

Ah okay quali is just before the race. Did a few practice quali's yesterday and my best was a 56.5xx. The race should be good. Are we using weak or strong slipstream?

56.5?! :scared: My best is a 56.9. .4 secs in here is a lot! Even a tenth of a sec can cost you 4, or more positions.

its 8pm wheres mule!? well only have 30 mins to quali even if he was to get on now :scared:

Race is in 1 hour. We can all qualify within an hour. At least that's what im hoping for
