The lounge opens at the usual time, and racing will proceed as normal. I'm ready now, and really looking forward to it.

I'm also deciding on prizes for the first 3 driver, so I will add them asap.

Room opening, brief qualifying followed by race a & b :D

Same probably because its the time of the night where everyone is trying to get on

Yeah. It's so annoying. I should have come on earlier, and then just messed about for a bit.

it's hardly ever works when I want it to
Eg
AEDR meet up
Apex mx5 champ 1st round
Now (kind of)

Why don't we organise it for a diffrent time when it is not busy if conza can make it

I'm just waiting for the lounge to load. It's working better now.

EDIT - I'm in.

Now I can't connect still trying really bugging me want to make this round helpppp
May have to give it a miss if it doesn't work
Joining now geeeetttttttt iiiiiiinnnnnn

Sorry Ya Shoe. You were an hour late, and Conza is the one to add.

Please can everyone check the social group, and post ideas for series 2

Yes, good race, I'll prepare a summary a little later on, busy day, just checking in.

I'd like to set a practice for Tuesday afternoon/night (my Wednesday morning), at Cape Ring Periphery. By the way we had a practice session of one (me) on Friday night, so this next practice won't go ahead until I hear confirmation of atleast 1 other person attending, we need two people so one can call witness to new records, and so forth.

This is probably the 2nd longest track, I recommend a 140 mph /220 kph transmission at this stage, haven't fully tested these cars, but the start finish straight is huge (excluding Circuit de la Sarthe which is an anomaly).

I am the only one who has run the same gearbox at every track so far? I have 2 setups saved for my Seat, one for Sarthe, and the other for the other tracks.

Well ~200 km/h | ~120 mp/h is about right, if you set it to that, you can't go too far wrong, but I customise it, so I know how larger each gear is, and some corners I know I want to be doing an exact speed, so, especially 3rd it seems, I want it to max out at something like 140/150/160 idk, it makes sense at the time.

Just saying, Cape Ring has a massive straight, so you may run short in top gear, keep an eye on it.

I made sure that the setup had the legs at the top, so that it wouldn't run on the rev limiter, but, I suppose it could b faster if I customised it.

I would like to practice tonite...just let me know what time

If Conza doesn't I MIGHT hold a practise session. I'll post the lounge number here if I do.

Woops, I did say my Wednesday morning didn't I? Well, we didn't get a flood of responses for that night.

Let's make it my Friday morning (your Thursday night), anyone interested? If I don't get replies saying 'yes I'm interested, I'll be there' then I won't run it. Last time I just forgot, but co-incidentally, no one said they were in, so please say so, I don't want to wake up early for an empty lounge like last time.

I went a bit picture crazy for Race A, Race B was a bit more conservative. I should go back and edit the race summary of the other two rounds as well, I am missing, I think Round 2 Race A, but otherwise have all other replays.

Here is Part 1, because these posts are massive, and I don't know how to resize the images, all in 16:9 instead of the horrible default 3:2 or something (in-game option to change it, Triangle > 16:9)

---

Once again, far from two perfect races, plenty of errors from me both in and out of the driving seat, one that affected both races was an incorrect lounge setting, whereby the fastest was not first, I started first and last (ultimately it was detrimental, cgg was last on the first race too

Race A proceeded well, Cgg was sent to last place on the grid, but was practically leading the race by the S/F straight of Lap 2, overtaking Quade after a small error running wide.

--

On Lap 2's 1st corner Cgg and I rammed, and as I was leading (possibly off the race line), Cgg correctly slowed for a moment to let me continue, excellent gentlemen racing. By the 3rd corner, several more rams, before we could ram a 3rd time in that corner, the computer, incorrectly imo, made me invisible as I was proceeding back onto the racing line after being pushed off of it, my nose was ahead, again Cgg behaved like a gentlemen racer, excellent stuff.

This allowed Quade to catch right up to us, and the most amazing thing happened at the corkscrew... I made a mistake and turned marginally too early (ghosted), but then amazingly, the computer considered cgg to be about to ram me (a ghost) and made him one too! Allowing Quade to be leading the race in no time!

As my ghost was reforming, Spatt had caught right up to me, being exactly where I was as my ghost was becoming solid, another moment and I would've had to pass him later on too.

--

Lap 3 seemed less eventful, until the final corner as Quade ran it wide! Again, the leader giving away the race, Cgg took the lead.

--

By Lap 4 the race for 1st was over, but the battle for 2nd was just beginning, with Quade, myself and Spatt all tightening up around the first corner.

--

On Lap 5 The race for 2nd came down to Quade and I, Spatt slowly being left behind.

--

The Final Lap came to a climax when Quade suffered from the same mistake I had made only 4 laps earlier! Cutting the corner slightly, and ghosting right at the corkscrew again, finishing the battle for 2nd.

Race A Finished.

I will do it as soon as I get on a computer.

Thanks for the race review, and I hope for more great racing.

I can't make next week, so that really puts me out of the running, as I'll end up only participating in 5 out of 10 races.

Well, Series 2 we may consider changing the day and or time, but more on that in the Series 2 thead, once I finish it ;)

Friday evenings are the best for me. I'm always in. Same race time, just Fridays instead maybe?

Saturday morning... I think I could swing that, we'll see how we go with others, but I'm tentatively ok with swapping it to then... I think we need two polls, one for the day and one for the time (I'll be voting to make it later, like 10/11pm UK and 5/6pm US (9/10am AUS the next day, instead of currently 6:30am room opening 'blegh').

10-11 uk time would be a bit late I think

we'll sort it out in the poll, 11pm (for a 11:30 finish) would be the latest I'd go on the option list.

I do want to 'atleast' get up at 7:30am next Series (8:30pm, 9pm start, 9:30pm finish). So there'll only be 3 options for times
