I like Laguna Seca for Hatches. One of the best tracks for them. I'm not usually a fan of it, but in these cars 👍

Awesome, no official race I don't think, but how about we do a test this Saturday night (tomorrow night?) I'll get up at 7am (Sunday morning, Australia), start the server, and all are welcome to come practice online.

Please FR me with enough notice Conza_No1 hope to see some of us there :)

I was hoping for some practice on Sat. So will that still be 3:30 est then?👍

I suppose, I'll be up around 7am/8pm/3pm (AUS/UK/US), so between then and 7:30 we'll start, nothing firm, but I discussed this question with someone via PM, and as a result I think it'll go something like this, give or take 5 minutes if we're early, transitioning tracks, ect.

Tracks (length desc. order)

Round 5 - Circuit de la Sarthe 2009 - 7:30am-8:10am

Round 3 - Cape Ring Periphery - 8:10am-8:35am

Round 1 - Trial Mountain Circuit - 8:35am-9:00am

Round 4 - Laguna Seca Raceway - 9:00am-9:25am

Round 2 - Eiger Nordwand Short Track - 9:25am-9:40am

There's also a load of Standard car's that'd work really well, the basic rules I've found are as follows.

If the weight is < 900kgs and > 1320kgs it likely can be ballasted up, or weight reduced down to 1100kgs.

Power is much harder to figure out. Since some cars allow turbo/superchargers and others don't, as well as, some start with performance parts, ect. Try to get as close to 235BHP as possible, going over it is alright (assuming it isn't 472BHP, because 50% should be 236BHP).

FF configuration, Sports Soft tyres, 450PP or less and the car is ready.

It's 10:38am now, the room will open in ~20 hours 22 minutes from time of post.

Hi guys. Having trouble working out when this thing is? I'll try and sort a car and officially enter tonight sometime. Cheers

Are they the times for the practise Conza?
If you have too much power, use a power limiter.

Practice season is in 3 hours, the actual thing is 1 week from that.

Practising tonight? I thought it was on Saturday? Also, for the actual event, I thought we were doing each round separately, due to each having 2 races.

Same I thought it was on Saturday
If it is tonight I can't come because I'm away at my friends house

Sorry guys, realise now it was me confusing every one, it's 19 hours from time this post, my Sunday morning, your Saturday night, the RACE will be one week from this Practice Saturday night (Sunday morning).

Hopefully this all makes sense? I did say it correctly earlier, but people kept asking and I answered wrong later, hopefully this clears it up.

8:30pm UTC Saturday the 02/09/13 (February), Practice
8:30pm UTC Saturday the 02/16/13 (February), Race.

GMT = UTC ;)

Universal Time Constant is a substitute for the formerly Greenwich Mean Time, still based on +0

EDIT: Here's an image showing them both, the largest clock is the time for me (AEST) the other two are UTC and GMT

Awesome, hope I've un confused anyone that I had before. Practice soon, and yet no FRs?

I've not been on my PS3. Can you send me one please? So I can just accept it when I get on.

thanks for the two people who had added me already, I added the others, except michrulejj who has reached his friend limit, hopefully you sort yourself our before tonight or atleast next week man.

Why don't we do the tracks in the order of the championship? We aren't doing races either tonight just testing aren't we?

Ok Room open nearly 45 mins early, all ready to go, its awesome that we've got all but two people for the practice! Really excited to see what everyone's got ready, enjoy folks!

We're doing them in length descending, makes it easier to get the long tracks out of the way, ect

Also, I don't know what the room number is, but its my lounge? Cgg & DBUCKEYES both have found me, so hopefully this is enough info.

Sorry for leaving prematurely guys. My internet cut out, yes again Dano. I'm up for the 2 races at Trial Mountain Next week, to get the championship started. I will post the race details in the OP, when we have some more. I guess the races will be at the same time as the practise?

Alright, well seems the practice session has come to a close, the room was open for two hours, here are the results, only 3 of 5 tracks tested.

Round 5 - Circuit de la Sarthe 2009 - 6:50am-8:15am

Round 3 - Cape Ring Periphery - 8:15am-8:42am

Round 1 - Trial Mountain Circuit - 8:42am-9:05am

Circuit de la Sarthe 2009
Whoever would like to claim it, it certainly wasn't me, pole position (which we're not using for any of these btw), was an amazing, imo, 4:44.176! I could barely manage a 4:47.816, so extremely impressive, well done. I was there from 6:50ish, and I think we finished up there around quarter past.

There was a minor scuffle between cgg and someone? Just practice folks, try not to race too hard, even next week lets all be gentlemen, I've been a hard racer in the past and it's not worth it, if you're faster you'll soon over take, hold race line and no blocking if possible, hope all was resolved.

Cape Ring Periphery
Amazingly, I pulled off a fluke(ish) pole of 1:44.867, which I could barely manage to re-achieve, I did come within the ball park (1:45 dead), otherwise seemed like a basic session till about 20 too.

Trial Mountain Circuit
Again, miraculously, I just kept going faster and faster, eventually setting a 1:36.784, this is without cutting that last corner too, a hard habit to remember not to repeat. We seemed to drop off slightly there after eventually all gone by about 5 to 10 past the hour.

By the way, let's try and keep the in lounge texting to a min, if we have a computer nearby, let's post any issues in the thread instead please.

I loathe the PS3 typing chat system, and I doubt we all have headphones that'd work well, so make a note of the problem and post it here later, if its a racing issue, PM me and the other person (unless I cut you off, then maybe just me ;) ), if it's extremely urgent and/or a general issue, please post here ASAP, I'll keep watching the thread.

Speaking of a general problem @GOINDYCOLTS could you please elaborate on the short cut penalty idea discussed in the lounge for "de la Sarthe"? I turned the penalty up to strong for the next two tracks, will that be enough?

I think the rumble strip is always acceptable, but hanging hugely right and cutting that corner entirely is a bit cheap, so if we can stay within the track that'd be good.

Still online here, on Laguna now, and will be doing Eiger next if anyone wants to get either in for practice.

It was my lap time at Sarthe, in my EK, which I'm still not sure about using. I apologise to DBUCKEYES for the hard driving, just trying a bit too hard I think.

I'm not using the Micra, as much as I loved it, as it is not fast enough in a straight line.

It doesn't really matter, but for the race yes you will need to turn penalties to strong for that track. Unless you plan on having some sort of steward.
