Well I suppose technically we should have three stewards anyway, myself, cgg and why not you too? I'm going to save each race replay, if you two could as well, then if anyone raises concern, all three of us can review it and make a judgement call.

I think I'll just leave it for strong across the board, didn't seem to effect the other two races at all, and for that one it'll stop that temptation (or punish it ;) ).

Yes. Keep the setting on strong, and I'm happy to review the replys.

Actually not quite, if you check out the OP, thanks to Cgg, it now reads how the races are proceeding;

It's going to be like Touring Cars (or Super Bikes) where there are two races, the first will be 3 laps of Trial Mountain, a short recess, then a repeat.

So within the same night we'll be doing 6 laps, but it'll be divided into two stints, full points awarded per race.

If the feeling is 3 laps is a little low, we could increase it, however keep in mind we'd need to increase all of the other tracks as well.

A side note, should we all post which car we're using? I'm not fussed if we keep changing them per individual race/race night, because if we get one that we thought was good and turns out to be slower than the rest, you'll feel a bit irritated being stuck with it for the whole thing.

I'm not 100% sure on which will be my (first) choice, narrowed the short list to 3-4 so far.

Hey guys.. looking forward to this still.. are we having a practice sesh today at all? Hoping to pick a car today that matches your requirements. I know the race is on the 16th but what time GMT?

Anybody want to have a practice this morning?

We all had a practise last night. Conza has posted the fastest lap times from each track, so see if you can beat them

I'm not bothered about people changing their car in between rounds, but can you use both cars for qualifying and the 2 races at each round.

I'm thinking maybe each round have 20-30 minutes worth of racing, not necessary split even, just to give a fair chance for overtaking.

@Spatt, honestly, we didn't do every track and the session seemed to get tired and finish, so how about, starting with the two tracks which we didn't race (Laguna Seca 1st & Eiger Nordwand 2nd), and circling back to the others, this time in length asc. order, just for fun (so Trial Mountain 3rd, Cape Ring Periphery 4th, and Circuit de la Sarthe 5th).

For simplicity's sake, same time as the last practice/race (2030 UTC), and we'll do a poll for which day - which'll be here > https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=273933

EDIT: Updated with Poll Link, I'm happy with either of the four days, so I'll vote to tip the tide if it's a close vote.

EDIT 2: Also, it's shows who has voted, just because if we have outsiders who are going to spam our poll, I'll know, so I can compensate.

Ok cheers for the info and im gutted i missed the practice (i wanted to be more reliable and really get into racing online)

are we doing a poll or something on the time for the race on Saturday... reason i'm stressing about the time on Saturday is i have another Race that day (don't know what time though yet) i don't want to miss this league tho so let me know as soon as weve decided and i can check in with the other guys about times im available (chances are i might have to miss one race) :( :S

my race on the Saturday is at half 9... How long do we think this event might last on Saturday for us guys. i know room opens at 8pm (uk time) is that qualifying start or room opening? the other event will have to wait for me if they can ;)

Well, you should make it with no problem at all, since we're only running 1 track, and the race time for this track is... 5 minutes (3 laps), we'll need a couple of minutes at the start, inbetween, another 5 minutes, should be finished well before quarter past 9, let alone half.

Logging on (10), qualifying (5), race 1(6), intermission(4), race 2(6), 31 minutes if we're quick, stretch that to an outside of 45, should have 15 minutes to spare, leave the room, join the other room, job done.

Cgg sign these guys up please :D

Definitely not too late to sign up, we've got a good core of racers, but a few have dropped out, so there's always room for more.

I'll add both of your PSNs, just read up on the OP, any questions please post, most of us might've learnt things through the course of reading this thread, so if it isn't covered in the OP it might be later on.

Welcome :)

Ok, with the Fiat, since it's the 1.2 not the 1.4, I did try it, but it needs to be fully hotted up, WITH the medium turbo, and the power is mid range, I think it's between 5-6k rpm and it revs higher, so lots of short shifting to stay on the power.

I did run a very fast lap around Cape Ring, Not sure how it'd go on Circuit de la Sarthe, I'd make sure I was in the ball park before committing to the car (although in saying that, it may be listed as a recommended entry...

I really didnt know. I was like Ermm Mini Cooper or Fiat. I decided Fiat. Since i do have G27 i could pull some hot laps. since i can Heel and toe and Power shift. And smoother around corners. But i might have to change we will see. Ill have to buy another Fiat and Mini and test them out.

Well power 'paddle' shifting, I think will work, but if you add in the wooden clutch from the G27 (I own one too, its shocking in this game, well it was up till 2.09 anyway), you'll be adding atleast 2-10 seconds lap times, stick to the paddles, or auto clutch the shifter, but without testing this out now, I don't think my G27 improved my times by more than... 5 seconds overall 'initially', now when I go back to the a DS3 (not that I've specifically tested this recently), I don't think I'm seriously much slower with the DS3 than I am with the G27.

Point is, test the car on the longer and faster tracks, make sure its in the ball park, otherwise it'll be a sucky couple of races :) (we can change cars each race night I think we've set it at).

Actually, I have the g25, and always used the clutch. I find that at this point with heal toe and other techniques, I am the same as paddles if not faster sometimes(seriously) and it's much more fun.

Exactly my point seriously more fun using Clutch, And using techniques. And the back fire shifting up :D.

Well I'd do a fast lap, one with and without clutch, and I wish it did work well, but imo, paddles are better for faster laps, even if there less fun.

Ne people have been added. This is going to be really good. The OP is now updated with all the information.

Ok I'm getting online tonight around 8 GMT still haven't picked a car but I will have by tonight. Anybody fancy some practice laps or even a little race your welcome to join me.
