I was confused at first about the "best lap" in the upper right corner of my screen at first because i couldn't get near to it... then i realized that it must have been set by one of you guys.. will this record stand if for example we where all to jump back into Conza's room again on Leguna Seca would it still appear on the upper right corner?

or is it purely for that specific time we where online?

Me and HusamOne had a little scrap with him overtaking me twice! i couldn't keep pace with the civic at all. and i think i was just over a second and a half off the pace last night on my best lap. still looking forward to the race though ;)

im not sure yet if i will get chance to race on Friday night

No unfortunately, it would be fantastic if it was, that's why we need to write it down before we move onto the next track.

Not a problem, if you want to practice Trial Mountain one more time before Saturday night, just use my lounge settings and give it your best shot.
 
Conza & cgg, Thanks for signing me up for this, but my 7 series died on my girl last night so I have to figure out whats going on with it so Im just not gonna have time for this right now. Maybe next weason tho! GL all!
 
After noticing that those were only reccomended cars i will have to dig a bit more one to my taste.

Sorry I didn't make it last race but I'll try tonight but I got a midterm to study. But I'll be free Friday
 
Do we know what the best laps are on the tracks we are doing? can anyone write them in a thread for reference?
 
I already have guys. Bad news guys. I can't race this first race I don't think, but I can make the practise. I'll do my best to get to the race, but I'm unsure.

When was this organised? You're about 24 hours early

EDIT: If you can't make it to the first race, that's ok, you can still compete in the rest of the series, it'll just be harder to win overall ;)

But you're definitely still allowed to race all the other weeks

EDIT 2: Also if you miss race 1a, you can also race in race 1b (the second race of the same track on the same night), just watch the first one, then join the grid at the back for the last one. If multiple people do this, early bird gets the worm, the earliest person joins first, the next after them and so on. Hope we don't need to do this often and that the process makes sense.

The room was just made quickly, just for extra practice with me and Dano. It wasn't organised, just join if you want to.

Woops, sorry if this was confusing, I think I meant 48 hours.

Last official practice is Friday night/afternoon, usual time.

Race is 24 hours later on Saturday night/afternoon.

We're going to do 100% Trial Mountain for the practice on Friday night, 1-1.5 hours.

Saturday night will be Qualifying A, Race A (which will act as Qualifying B for Race B), Intermission, Race B.

Rounding up from the best lap time, we can assume each race the slowest car to take 1:50 a lap on average, so at 3 laps should be 5-6 minutes a race, same amount of time for Qualifying A and we'll give 7 minutes for the break.

So 6+6+7+6= 25 minutes - I think we should be finished by 9pm UK, I think we can afford to wait for 10 minutes from 8:30pm UK time Saturday night (8:40) from there we'll begin Q.A. ect all ready or not.

I feel like I'm repeating myself often, but better that then someone misses the details in a previous post.

Again I must stress the point, let's cut the in lounge chatter out and keep it all in this thread.

I think after this event we'll have a seperate thread for each Race (eg. HHL S1 R2). So general questions will remain here, but for each event we'll use those seperate threads, in the future.

I think I've covered everything, looking forward to the practice Friday night :)

@Conza My Ballast was at 1100 only managed a 1:41.314 it was new out of dealership.. all the damn hatchback you need to add weight lol.

Well it's quarter to 12am (Saturday) for me now, the room will open in just over 7 hours, and we'll 'officially' start 30 minutes after that. Hopefully that helps?

Regarding the PBs, here's the thing, they sometimes aren't replicatable, so you do one corner amazingly once, and you drop .3 of a second from the total lap time, and you get a fastest lap, but then might not do it again.
If you're within 2-3 seconds of the PB, I think you're race competitive, any more than that and I'm unsure, but we'll see how we go, maybe one of us will dominate throughout all the tracks, or one each per track, it'd be good to have close and clean racing, but that might be wishful thinking.

If anyone else has issues, please post them here, and alternatives times, ect, I'm happy to move the races later, however one of us needs to be out of the room by 9:30pm UK, so this time the latest we can really start at is 9pm.

Today's practice, quite a small turn out, only four of us made it. Cgg set the new PB at 1:36.548, the three of us were all within 0.2-1.0 second of that, so I think we'll have some good racing tomorrow night/afternoon.

Remember, there's two races, so if you forgot and missed Race A, you can still join the back of the grid for Race B if you're ready in time.

Hope to see most of us there :)

Conza - Could you post the positions from each race onto here for me, so I can work put the scores more easily?
 
You will get the first race done, so that should be ok. You will still pick up points.
