Well it the exhaust runs to the mufflers and stops, we dont have pipes going past the rear axle so its illegal. We put ceramic coated headers on it, new cam, lifters, well the whole top half of the engine is done but it has low oil pressure so it is going to have go be replaced with a new one. or replace the lower half of the engine

Just rebuild the bottom end, get a high flow oil pump (or dry sump system), and do a basic rebuild of the bottom end.
I'll be getting another engine soon for rebuild myself. I've already got the spare tranny for rebuild and hope to upgrade it for more power and better valving.
Good luck with it.

yeah we put on a high volume oil pump a few years ago to try and save the engine. My dad thinks ill get sick of it after a year, with the carb. engine and all its temper tantrums. But he did say if i still like it we will end up dropping in an edelbrock crate engine and not even mess with the rebuild

Sounds good man.
The carberation shouldn't be too bad to dial in, after all, they had carbs way before injection for gas powered vehicles.
Anyway, I doubt you'll get tired of the 'mino as if you're like me, always doing something to make it better, faster and more personalized with time. 👍
Of course, crate engines are the shizzle too. 💡

yeah, but I think my dad is trying to scare me off, hes told me stories about his chevelle where the headers would keep the starter too hot and make it not start and how his sometimes stalled at stop lights, lol. Yeah well im taking an auto class in highschool this comming year so maybe they well let me bring it in and do some tuneups on it or something. We also found a place to spray it for free :sly: i think it looks good but my dad thinks there is alot of flaws in the bodywork that will show up after paint is on it

Slayer1,
I also live in Michigan and have seen these cars at Berger. I might even know you!! Where roughly do you live? I live in Muskegon and I visit Grand Rapids occasionally.

I just thought of some cars that you just never see and they are pretty cool muscle cars. 66-67 Chevy II Novas!!!

I love exotic induction setups :D From the site:

ENGINE/TRANSMISSION: This car features a brand new ZZ502 Chevrolet Crate engine rated at 502 Horse power (without the blower) This engine features Aluminum oval port cylinder heads and full roller rockers. The Engine is topped with a Weiand 8-71 Blower / Supercharger and 2 Edelbrock AVS Thunder 850 carburetors. It also features 2 distinctive Holley billet drop down sideways Air Cleaners that give the car a very unique appearance. Horse power has not been tested but estimated at 650-750. All on pump gas! This car hauls A$$!! It features a top notch MSD Ignition system with built in boost retard for the Blower. Cooling is via an Aluminum radiator, Aluminum water pump, and 3 electric fans - cooling system works great. Also has polished alternator and billet PS pump with Stainless Braided hoses. Has a billet electric fuel pimp, Regulator and Dual Filter system all with stainless braided fuel lines. Everything is brand new and all top quality. Exhaust is run through Sanderson 3/4 length Ceramic coated headers and a custom fitted (for low ground clearances) 2 1/2 inch exhaust system through 2 Bassani Stainless Mufflers (unique muscular sound not just the common flowmaster sound). Transmission is a Tremec 5 speed with overdrive bolted with grade 8 hardware to a Lakewood Scatter Shield bell housing and transferring the power through a big Centerforce dual friction clutch set.
