Of course not, Stiffy. :P

I got myself a plastic storage basket so now I have an actual vessel for soil. The planters and wrecks are going to be sitting in what looks like the deeper end of a mud puddle so they're going to be covered half-way up. Secretly, I've drilled holes in all of the bases to allow roots to grow beyond the confinements of the car bodies. On top of that, the junkyard cars (namely those that aren't purpose-built like the fire truck and ambulance) are going to receive a beating like that '62 Chevy. Going to see if I can mimic some rust and matte-clear that before sending it outside. I'm also going to have to steal sand from the park. Hahaha.

Best part: that Chevy's got a warped body and yet the front wheels don't bottom out nor does the chassis scrap the ground. It can still roll freely!

Will beat, you mean.

I've only ravished the Chevy for now. Everyone else other than the Studebaker and Holden have been hacked at lightly with various dremel bits and a sandpaper. I still need to douse them with acetone to scar that glossy finish.

Still monster ):

Dude, I really can't understand why you're pummelling perfectly good cars, when you can pick up a lot of beat cars in E-Bay for peanuts and use that. You're weirder by the day.

You got it all wrong. I wantto call you a dummy, but you're simply ignorant of the situation.

Why buy cars when I already have a ton of disassembled cars sitting here doing nothing? I have so many cars I probably won't ever customize so I'm recycling them instead of spending even more money on cars to break. Everything here didn't require extra money. I also had one or two other opened cars I was contemplating on turning into a planter. I have that many disassembled cars, yes. It's like how you go through your pile of trash to grab parts.

Nah. Im about to donate my trash to Goodwill lol. After I tack on random horrid wheels so it's not so bad.

you monster for beating a Stude like that ):

Just have to clear coat them so rain doesn't simply wash it off. I might have to invest in some resin or outdoor varnish for better protection.

It was already trash. I took its rear shutter windows for the Annihilator.

But you know what though? That one has the best rust-bucket finish of them all. The carefully sprayed red primer over the paint chipped body blends real nice with the zamac. The dust and sand on top is like the cherry on top.

3 layers of dirt, 3 layers of rust, 3 layers of clear, 2 layers of matte, and 1 layer of matte top-coat later - I'm finally done.

Dirt and rust were acrylic paint and red primer spray respectively. Next time I need to scuff up a body before flicking paint.

There's going to be planters and wrecks in the same flower bed. It's going to be a living diorama essentially, and I plan to have that ready by July 1st in the morning!

I've got 9 others done that you can view on Facebook and "Like" for status updates on any customs I make. I figured a Facebook page would be less work and more convenient for you guys. Please spread word of the page to any friends you know who is into the hobby!

Sand will be added later. And when I do, those rust buckets and dirty trucks will make a lot more sense. Right now I just need the grass to grow to a point where it won't be as vulnerable as it is still just a seed.

Other than that, here's a Studebaker Starliner I nabbed form work and did nothing with. Probably was going to be made into another IS car, but whatever. Less cars to customize, the better.

You're going to make up your own livery, right? That's more creative.

Oh man, I just thought of a cool idea for a Kool Kombi. Don't know if it's even possible to pull off.

Finally doing the black 2010 Camaro to match the '70 that I did. Pics tomorrow-ish. Also, the deep dish wheels from those Indy cars = new wheels for my hard top Miata project. :D

Now that is cool.

I've also come up with a fairly good alternative solution to smooth nail polish finishes besides airbrushing. If I have enough time, I can probably finish it today.

*work in progress*

Just some small detailing to finish up. Won't be able to get good pics until the weekend with my crappy camera.
