I always do mine in my basement. ;)

I would, but my basement would smell of paint for a while after.

Should look it up. I clearly don't have a definitive answer for you at this point.

I'll look it up. Maybe that will solve my problems.

Edit: I just looked up some information on painting in humidity, and I based on what I found, I've found out that I should avoid painting in really hot, humid weather, and wait a little longer for the paint/primer to cure if the conditions aren't right. So I'll try that and see if it helps. And the sun, and really hot weather was bad for the paint the after all.

sun is the last thing you want on curing paint! with the exception of the Pactra Lexan R/C paint... doesnt really matter if its indoors or out doors just keep it out of the sun.
hence when you see a body shop paint a car, the booth goes DARK when the painter leaves and sets it to cure...

A little sneak peak at something iv'e started working on. (Picture taken with toaster, on purpose )

Suuuuuuuper-duper interesting :0 You better provide lots and lots of pics of the transformation into an Escort so I can make one too.

 I knew it would take you all but two seconds to recognise what it was, Cano, no amount of Sasquatch blur could fool the trained eye.
Unfortunately, i haven't taken many pics of it, just sort of jumped straight into it.

Earlier pic:

Sasquatch quality pic 2:
(The bubble arches are just mock-up plasticine)

Slightly more clearer pic:
(Roof looks like snowdrift, i know  but it's since been taken down a bit, probably post some more pics later)

[EDIT]

The shapes not quite there yet, and to be honest, i doubt it will ever be 100%, but if i can get it close to the old 'Corgi' casting i'll be fairly happy.

Man, that's some great work so far Dr @Nessy, never would have thought that a 510 could be turned into an Escort. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. 👍

It looks absolutely smashing, dude. I wanna see it done tomorrow. And hell I have to pick up some of dat putty. Like the custom tires.

Interestingly, and sadly, I let that Corgi Escort casting you mention go once, and have never seen it again. Was pretty beat up but complete too, perfect for a custom, and i left it behind ):

Toyota AE86 Custom.

This was a spur of the moment idea I had. I wasn't sure which of the five cars to customize that I had in my hand, but decided on the AE86.

The interior and base pieces felt like a must to be detailed.

Here is the detailed interior piece, complete with a removable steering wheel.

While I was waiting for the paint to dry, I removed the tampos using acetone, and got the wheels from another in-progress car, which came from a Boulevard series Honda Civic.

Once everything was dry, it was time to reassemble the car. A subtle job the project was, but it still leaves a nice result.

Another car is done, and now I await my next project.

You can't call thaty done until you have detailed all there is to detail in that car. Which is a damned lot.
I'm not even sure what more there is other than the lights, and the only pictures I can find on Google all the cars have custom lights. The parts that would normally be black, such as the bumpers, I left undetailed to simulate custom painted parts. ;)

I personally would do the black bumpers, hood, lights, window frames, overfenders, and the tail-lamps. turn signals, and find something to make an exhaust tip out of.

I can assure you that I will detail the lights. That is, as soon as I can find some pictures of the real car to guide me. ;)

I love the First one. It's like a mix of Syd Mead's idea of the future and an Auto Union streamlined in one shiny package.

That decal be thick! I would've painted the striped instead of wrapping it around the wing like that. I apologize for sounding harsh but it's so hard not to miss that.

Anyway, following up the polished cars:
