Forgot I had this. Found in a box while searching for stuff to list on eBay, thought I would snap a quick photo.

Really nice weather today so i decided to take a few more snaps of my Mmax MX-5. There's not much changed since i last shared it with you guys, just started to add a little detail to the paint, and added a clear coat. I think the painting aspect of customs (a basic which many of you have already mastered), is still something i can't quite get the grasp of.

What wheels are those, dude? They look awesome!

Looking great so far Doc. I would ave gone black insted of silver on the little lights so to make them cooling holes. And you really need to get Tamiya's clear red and orange paints.

Also, don't worry, painting stuff is the one thing that's more difficult to me :/ practice and nothing more, altough I don't think I'll ever be able to match a urethane-toped finish.

Also, love the cat/dog fur 👍

Thanks man 👍 And yes, Cat fur gets everywhere.

Also, i think i may have some Tamiya clear red and orange. Do i just paint it onto the blue? I should be able to polish off the orange and red bits as they're water based and are on top of the clear coat.

No, you need to give them a silver/white base. Worth the double effort, though. Also dude, paint the wheel spokes gold to tie them in with the rollcage.

And yes, I have two door that have fur dripping as a hobby. It's horrible.

Will do. 👍

@Cano wheels came off Muscle Machines JGTC car a long time ago. Had I known how hard those would be to find now and what they go for I wouldn't have taken in apart.

Does any one know how to clear up windows from old little cars found this Ferrari and I want to restore it but I have no idea how to do the windows

The windows are clear just very old and full of grime that they look black :)

Cool, how are you doing the suspensions?
I used the metal strip that is inside some of the older matchbox cars so it can have a good amount of movement on the tires and for all the rest I used the small axle tubing to make the the suspension peices. Ill post some pictures of the suspension later to show it better.

Please do, I'm quite curious 👍

Dude, great idea. I must have one of those laying around somewhere.
Glad you think so. :) It does seem like a suitable choice since it's ride height not to far off from that truck. You don't really have to look far to find one, at least I didn't. I have ran by a few a couple times.

Been a while since I worked on any of my customs, but here is some progress on my Tall Ryder:

This was done months ago, but I haven't posted it until now. All I have done so far is painted it and it's the exact color I wanted! :D Wanting to add some decals and some detailing later before I clear coat it. Not sure about doing a wheel swap because I like the ones it already has on it. The axles are about 4/5 of a centimeter longer than they need to be and I really need to fix that.

Got some progress on my Motorhome I will post later.

That's a great color for that thing.
Thank you! :) That is my favorite color for customizing Hot Wheels, I have a tendency to paint every custom that color, but I try not to over do it. I forget which one it was I used.
It has so much space for tampos it can't be helped 👍
This thing is like a blank canvas, so much room for decals, it looks plain without them. This thing was green when I bought it and it had no tampos as it come. I almost thought about leaving it that color and just adding decals, but I couldn't resist that blue. :D

I really can't wait to work with a Ford Sierra, that one has so much potential....

so this is the metal strip I was talking about, This one is from a matchbox nissan 300zx. I cut it in half and screwed it onto to the chassis. For the suspension parts I used a 3/64 brass rod and a 1/16 aluminum tube.

20150706_191233.jpg this is how it looks from the inside

and this is the bottom. I had to drill a couple holes so I can run the brass tubing through on the chassis
