So I bought this bike the only thing is that I wanted it in red I don't know if they make it in red so I made it I am sorry if I'm not suposto post bikes I haven't seen any on so I took a gamble :)

The bike needs mor detailing like the engin parts and the chain and brake disks. But I have other projects for example I have to finish detailing 2 Italians and one ford that just got out of the paint shopimage.jpeg
Still don't know how to restore the glass cuz it makes it look very bad with the old scratched and foggy but one problem at a time :)

So i take an axle that im no longer using and i bend the end of it into a "J" then you have to put a couple bends in it like shown. I bend it in such a way that it adds a little more stability to it and so when u put a load on it, it wont rip off. The bar you see thats glued to the bumper just just gives it a little more contact surface for the actual hitch to bond to. Plus it gives it that realistic look. I took the left over piece of axle and made a shifter for the truck. To make it a true 5 speed cummins.

Heres some more shots of the Ram. I found this turbo diesel motor in a hw box van, ripped it out, detailed it amd swapped it in. You can actually see the turbo.

Thanks guys. I stay pretty busy running a business so when i get home from a long day of work theres nothin more relaxing than messing with hw for a couple hrs. I dont have any kids (that i know of ..........jk:lol:) so i always wonder how you guys that do have kids and families find time for this stuff.
Heres a trailer i built using popsicle sticks and nails for reinforcement. It still needs to be painted black.

And a celica with a custom exhaust as well, hope you like.

Ohh lol, it's not really a custom, it came from your post showing how cool castings look just stripped and polished. I just didn't polish mine as I wanted that old racer look to it. Just lowered the crap out of it and just detailed it.

That old porcshe is really down in the weeds! I know i said I didn't like celicas but this one here looks mean. Nice stance

Been a while. One of my extras of this:

Entered the surgery room. It was going to be a straight-up wheel-swap to gold BBSs all around, same size all. Then, when looking for them in my wheel stash the fat ones popped up and it's destiny was decided. Problem was... they didn't fit, lol. So some dremeling was in order. And while I was at it I also decided to do something I'd wanted to do for a while: exposed turbos. So I also trimmed the lower part of the rear bumper and its sides so the most direct exhaust tips in history could exit at the sides of the car. The snails are those thingies used to make necklaces and sutff. Was really hard to find a correct size for the turbos. The inward tubes are butterfly clips cut to use their bent corners.

The interior was detailed, the original plastic rollcage painted, and I added an aditional brace with aluminum tubing.

The gold chrome of the wheels came off just by manipulating them. Lame. Had to touch them up using Tamiya gold.

Full detailing of holes and black plastic surfaces.

Detailing such a long tail-lamp is harder than it looks, lol. Again, full detailing of black stuff, altough the air inlet on top of the wing is Tamiya gunmetal or something like that.

The wheels work because they look the same diameter, but with fatter rear tires. The rears had to be adjusted with aluminum tubing btw.

In this picture the turbos look pretty uneven but I swear this looks a lot better in real life.

And here we go! Even if it's quite a basic custom, it's got a bit of work on it, and I finally did the balls-hangin' Porsche I'd wanted to do for a while, so win this is.

Hey you missed the mirrors :P

Also, if you were going to cover up the rim with Tamiya gold, I think it may have helped if you covered the spokes even, because now the mismatched colours are clearly visible.

Also what I do to cover up uneven paint on the tail light is to run over the lamp's edge with a Gundam marker:

Sometimes hitting the 'Like' button just doesn't cut it.. we need a rating system instead. 10 out of 10 👍 That thing looks like it means business!

Yeah I know about detailing the rear of those Porsches, done heaps of them, here's a tip, if you just used a tamiya bottle paint for the detailing and kept the original hw blue, you can use a tooth pick to scrap away the excess paint and leaves it looking really sharp. Just take car as sometimes it can take of more than desired but nothing a simple touch up can't fix. Looks tough as though. The other thing to, when I first started this hobby I was trying to do so much by hand and it took ages, best investment I made for this hobby was a dremel. Makes life so much easier and certain things like shaving the rear wheels arches like you did is not achievable otherwise.

It looks so realistic. The turbos set it off and the staggered wheels were the icing on the cake.

Ok so I have never panted a car with more than one color and keep in mind I only have spray cans to do this so I know it's not perfect sorry. but this is the follow up on the gt40 I like how it's turning out I still need rubber wheels but I don't think I will ever get them so I'm happy with what I have the Italians r still in the paint shop hope you guys like it:)

Those lines have turned out super sharp and straight, very nice job there. With a little touch up they will come out looking awesome.
