What gives, the guy looks like a oldened bousouzoku, and 99% of the cars are bousouzoku/street racers. I'd love to see what he can do with other style customs!

Word. He certainly doesn't look like a very personable fellow does he?

Damn. That's really something. Makes our work look like crap.

Next biggest upgrade for us would be to get an airbrush.

No kidding. Some of the parts on them vehicles were built from scratch! The vehicles on there make my "Double Dairy Duo" look weak! (which there kind of weak anyway) If you look on the other galleries on that site, it only gets better!
Slooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww website.
Really? Work just fine with me.

The interior requires you to know how to fabricate from scratch. You can grab stuff off other toys but you can only rely on that so many times. This is where a 3D printer really comes in handy and Makerbot sells kits so you can make stuff on your own.

The paint will need an airbrush for sure. His finishes are clean and free of imperfections.

Oh I saw some imperfections, but working at this scale no matter how good you are, it's not going to be perfect all the time.

3D printer? Wow, never heard of such things. Them guys on there are a whole different ball game than what we do here. There is probly alot more than what Jason has on here that we would need to pull something off like that. It certainly doesn't look easy.:scared:

I could buy a Makerbot right now but I haven't figured out a way to make back the money.

I know someone at school who's showed me a bit about Makerbot and how he's making back quite a bit of money printing off models for people. The price tag might be big but putting that aside, a spool of ABS costs $48. Last monday he showed off a business card he printed and it's about the size of a credit card, but 10 times as thick. On it, there's extruded text and even a functioning piston on the side. He tells me it that only cost him 27 cents to make.

Now think about how big that is compared to a single 1:64 wheel. I know we all want wheels for customs. Imagine I sold you a pack of 20 custom-made wheels for $5. Would you buy it? Doesn't sound like a bad deal. And to think it'll only cost me around 30 cents to make that? There's profit to be found.

I might just do it in that case.

How's your progress with your E30s, guys?

Same as a week ago, I've opened the frsont fascia hole for the intercooler, but I have yet to do the carbon fiber decals and paint it. It HAS to be this saturday or it won't make the deadline.

Oh so we're not going to show & tell, huh? Is that how competitive you guys are? :sly:

Not so, but my car is only in pieces as of now, I haven't done anything relevant to it, just opened the front hole for the intercooler, the exhaust tip, and modified the chassis so the wheels roll freely.

Your back wheels don't fit. :P

Mine is in pieces too, front/window frames detailed. Still deciding if I want to do the wheels I chose, or switch to something else. Then I need to make decals for the taillights. Really wish we could get clear windows for this thing...

I suppose I can divulge what my idea is. I've yet to even start on it kinda.
But what I want to do is a shooting brake. Looking at the car, there is so much work than I intially thought. :scared:
