Good luck everyone!

EDIT 1: Damn Photobucket raped the pictures

EDIT 2: I absolutely agree with you Jason, a photo absolutely brings out even the slightest imperfections. This thing looks way better in real life

I'm not a fan of red cars because of how common it is, but E30s are literally the cars I think look best in red.

Car looks great there Cano, what are those wheels off of?

Daaaang, you even painted the window surround/pillar/moulding/weatherstripping things. 👍

It was easier for me because with the flat black you can just follow the lines around it with a toothpick and scrape off the paint where it doesn't need to be. Much harder to do that when you have repainted the whole car. Basically has to be painted by hand verrrrrrrrry carefully...

You guys should see the Lamley inbox. It completely exploded. We will be sorting through everything for the next couple of days, and the judging will take place after that (I won't judge, as I know what everyone sent), and then we announce the winners.

After the winners are announced and showcased, we will showcase every submission. It think you will enjoy seeing what folks came up with.

Oi, dude, it looks awesome finished up. Grille detailing looks great.

Also notice 53 Cadillac in background (:

How was the gold paint?

tsch, I was going to do the exact same diagonal stripes too lol. Bet there's going to be around 4 or 5 of the same liveries.

2 hours from the dead line. You two must've been working all day.

Ahmed was the one that worked two full days straight. I probably shouldn't tell you people he uncarded the car yesterday, and had it painted, tampoed and cleared by 11 pm. You do the math.

My father's 55 Cadillac on the background hehehe

The Gold paint was very useful, I hate those new wheels I think the paint they use is the cheapest ever!!

.
I started working on it saturday morning, It took me about 5 hours to paint the stripes, we finised all the painting saturday at 11 pm I think

Now John, are these competitions going to be ongoing and having them continuously or just one each year?

Now replying everyone from yesterday, because I was in my phone:

I wanted it red because I wanted a lot of contrast for the carbon fiber, but I also wanted a color that would pop, because I supposed we'd get a lot of too light (stock silver, white) or too dark (black, blue) colors. I'm sure we'll also see plenty of reds, but it was mainly because of the contrast with the black.

The wheels are off the orange truck in the upper left, a made in China thingie that cost me 50 cents and had six of these:

Here they are with the rest of the loot from the donors in the previous pic:

The stuff is where you find it (:

Well, it was the same with me, but as I use a cheap-as-all-hell matte black paint, I could also scrap off the offending bits with a toothpick, as it's water based.

I remembered it a 53, but a 55 is still cool. Also, glad the paint was helpful, you had your hands full with detailing everything so avoiding the trouble of a wheel swap would be a plus if you had a few hours to finish everything. The interior came out cool too. You have a pic of the single seat?

Now John, are these competitions going to be ongoing and having them continuously or just one each year?

I will be able to answer that after this next phase in the process. I would like to do at least more than one a year...

Dude at least one every three or four months!

(^Far middle right) AFX Aurora, TCR or Tyco?

I'd say Tyco, but I wouldn't really know, it didn't have a body, I picked up just the motor with the tires. It's already in pieces, the tires waiting for something to be used in.

Aurora, not at all.

Thanks for kind words guys:D

All the M3's look great, awesome work there and good luck to you all, really diggin the carbonfibre bonnet Cano that looks cool:drool: can't wait to see all the entries aswell, there'll be a few pages to look at by the sounds of it:tup:

Yes Tyco, and if you are not planning to use it, I'm interested on it :scared:

Right now detailing a quick wheel swap I did on this:

I'm painting the window frames with silver/chrome paint but due to my spectacularly bad pulse I've masked up the car in order not to screw anything up. I'll have to do one part at a time to wait for the paint to dry, so the neft 3 days will be a window frame per day, lol.

Can't wait t see it finished, Im wondering which wheels are you using for this one heheh

It's quite simple, but the car has a lot of potential once some extra tampos are erased. Detailing also comes easy thanks to everything being well-defined, like taillamps and grille holes. Wheels are color-coded (:

It's also traveling forth and back from work (I'm detailing it there lol) in one of Jason's containers. Thanks bud 👍
