I don't there is some very quick players who use the pad and I enjoyed using it no end in prologue but now I'm using the DFGT and it's is like playing a whole new game, it's that much better. I can only imagine how much fun and how good a top end wheel with a playseat would be.

I agree completely with you. I imagine that using a steering wheel it's so much better and should maximize the experience of the game, but like i said before, the only thing that don't let me buy a steering wheel is the price (if i buy a used Driving Force here, i will pay at least around U$ 800,00. Very expensive!). In the future maybe i buy one, but anyway, play with a top steering wheel and a playseat must be a dream for sure.

Since the PlayStation is regulated to my home office, no fancy setup, just a DualShock on a 30" HD TV.

I have about 750 quid to throw at a tv..any suggestions?
A Panasonic plasma if you don't have to worry about too much ambient light as there really isn't much that can compete in that price range in terms of picture quality. If you need the brighter screen of an LCD, Samsung at least was the best choice, but it's been quite a while since the last time I really looked at them.

To answer the poll question:
Fanatec CSR on my 50" 3D Panasonic GT30.

I don't really use my G25 anymore, so I'll be using my DS3 this time around on a 32" Samsung HDTV.

Thanks,I'll look into it.:)

Edit: They look a bit out of my price range even if they do look really good.

Just bad that some Panasonic Plasmas have clearly noticeable and distracting input lag which makes gaming unenjoyable.

You should be more precise.

I know that TVs such as the Panasonic TC-PST60 series have absolutely stunning picture quality and this even for a very reasonable price, but it must be useable for gaming too. I don't say every Panasonic Plasma is bad for gaming, but many are.

EDIT: The PST60 is probably the best picture quality/price TV you can get. As long as you're not in a super bright room. But input lag is existant... Oh and it costs more than 750£.

EDIT2: The TC-PS60 series (no T) is one of the Plasmas with relatively low input lag and still very good picture quality. Heck, it's even very low-priced.

I do not know anything about the PS64 series though. Maybe they're even better.

My room isn't so bright so that isn't a problem,I shall investigate,my main objective is to bring out the best of GT6's(and other PS3 title's) graphics.

For right now, I'm going to be using the DS3 on my TV, but if I can get some extra money, I'll buy a wheel. I couldn't before on GT5 because how my gaming area was set up, but now I think I can with my new desk setup in my room.

If it can be an LED-LCD instead, you could try to get a W8 Sony Bravia for about 750£ somewhere. They're usually just a little over 800£ though.

Otherwise the Samsung UN50F5500AF is very good for its price and great for gaming still. Or perhaps better the UN50EH5300F, which is direct-lit instead of edge-lit. I just saw the smaller models such as 40", 46" are no longer offered an got replaced by the 6000 series, which is not as good as the 5000 series.
If 50" is too big you can still try to get one of the smaller ones, stores should still have them.

Ahh,was budgeting £1100 for a PS4 aswell as the tv. I will look into those, thanks.

Edit: Still too expensive, these are £1000+

Ehh... I don't think TVs for less than 850$ cost clearly over 750£... let me see...

I'm thinking I'll just do it and save for a PS4 later.:nervous:
UE46F5300AKXXU
799£ from the manufacturer, in stores surely findable for 750£. It's "only" 46", but still has smart tv functions.

Perhaps you find a 1 year older 46" EH model of the 5300 series for an even lower price. They're fater though because of the direct-lit. The rest is just as good as the F models though.
The letters are the ones directly after the screen size, in this case 46.

Or you take the 5000 models which have no smart tv functions. They cost less though.

TV prices are damn high in the UK. :scared: (not as if it were much better here in switzerland, but I expected something better for the UK).

Wow thats not bad, thanks, and yes you're right prices here aren't so good, how does it rate against this one? http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-dvd...f5500-smart-3d-60-plasma-tv-21334483-pdt.html
It's one of the plasmas which should be good for gaming.

I think this similar model (51" instead of 60", but for 749£) would be better for you though: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-dvd...f5500-smart-3d-51-plasma-tv-21334482-pdt.html

Or look what I found here for 699£: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-dvd...g-ue46f5500-smart-46-led-tv-21309854-pdt.html

Plasma or LED-LCD, that's the question now. Both are great TVs.
Both are from the 5500 series, which means tons of smart tv function. Alternatively you take the lower 5000 numbers (5300 has still some smart tv abilities, whereas the 5000 doesn't at all) with less functions but lower price - your choice.

It's a shame that the Panasonic S60 series isn't avaible in the UK.
If it gets avaible in the UK just in time, keep looking for the Panasonic TX-P50S60 (aka TC-P50S60, TC USA, TX UK). Price would be around 750£ as well (50" Plasma).

You're right that £749 one is better, specially with the savings! I'll get that one, thanks mate.:D no need to worry about saving for a PS4 either.

Hope you didn't miss my edit:

Just in case. I don't want to say the S60 is clearly superior, it's just another alternative which may be interesting to keep looking for.

The other two TVs are great anyway. The plasma has slightly better picture quality, whereas the LED is better in brightness (good for bright rooms) and minimally in input lag, although you shouldn't notice input lag in both cases.
