Let us know how you find it then when you got it. I hope it won't be anything negative :scared:.

Next week I hope! and yes I'll let ya know.:D GT5 will still be gathering dust but I have others and the imminent demo to tide me over.:D

Thanks,I'll look into it.:)

Edit: They look a bit out of my price range even if they do look really good.
Sorry I couldn't be of help. Being in a different country, I couldn't really know what the price difference was.
Just bad that some Panasonic Plasmas have clearly noticeable and distracting input lag which makes gaming unenjoyable.
I never notice it on my set (probably just gotten used to it), but you are correct about the input lag being worse on plasmas and I should have mentioned it.

You say you have a GT30? I don't know much about that one.

Some Panasonic Plasmas have clearly more input lag than others, it really depends on the model. The ones I suggested are the ones I know that they have relatively low lag.
It's not wrong to suggest Plasmas, they have their advantages. But suggestions should be model or at least series specific.

:)

EDIT: I just read some reviews and the GT30 seems to be one of the better Plasmas regarding input lag. And since GTs are supposed to be a touch higher than STs it's apparently a very reasonable choice. If the price is right. Although Panasonic no longer lists the GT30 on their website.

Although I heard that the new 60 series is superior, so yeah... that's why I suggested the S60 or even ST60 - depending on the prices. GTs are normally clearly more expensive and way over his budget.

If you already buy a wheelstand I'd strongly recommend to take a better wheel such as the G27 or T500.

And just for your information, I do have a DFGT, but without wheelstand. Next wheel I buy will be a better one though.
The DFGT is good, but if you already spend that much money you should get something better.

I went with DS3/HDTV as that's closest to how I hope to play. My hope is controllers are competitive enough I don't have to use a wheel. Which if they are, I will probably get one of those crossplay adapters and use a 360 controller.

I prefer to play games with my feet kicked back in my $1200 LaZBoy recliner I bought for that purpose. But if it's like GT5 and you pretty much half to get a wheel to be competitive then I'll probably pick up a DFGT or something along those lines.

G25+40" Sony HDTV.

I shall also use a copy of Forza 5 as a coaster.

However as my good friend TRC Georgiadawg states I do hope the gap in laptimes between DS3/Wheel is closer this time. Im competent using a controller or wheel as I use controller on Forza and wheel on GT5 and found roughly a 2-3secs difference in laptimes between DS3/Wheel on GT5. This is unfair to those who cannot purchase a wheel for various reasons.

Looking at the poll there are 70 people using the DS3, and i would expect a greater number worldwide. As one of those 70 i was shocked to hear that the PS4 controller would not be analogue, but digital "as most developers don't use the feature" which has i believe around 240 different variables.

Yes it's the PS4 and nothing to do with GT6 YET, but this will force me to get a wheel when GT eventually moves to PS4.

Any thoughts? I'm pretty annoyed, i have no real room for a wheel, and at the moment i sure as hell don’t have a spare ÂŁ200 to buy a second hand one.

EDIT: I guess it also depends on if you are old timer who still uses X to accelerate.

Fanatec CSR Elite in homemade rig and big screen HD TV

:jealous:
Is it really that awesome? The Fanatec CSR Elite. I truly want it

G27 plus my 15" SDTV with built in VCR.

Err I mean 55" HDTV. :sly:

Hmm, good taste. That TV must be like driving a really good vintage car ;)

DFGT for now(with gt6 I would buy the T500RS)
Speakers logitech Z5500
Samsung HD ready 32"
home made copkit from half interior of opel tigra.

Wait a minute! Is it really you?!
Have I seen you on youtube?! I once saw this guy with a home made cockpit from half of the interior of a car I can't remember at the moment. If it was you, I'd like to congratulate you and tell you that THAT is awesome đź‘Ť đź‘Ť

Sorry if I'm 'late' to the 'party', I don't post too often around here.

The DS3 isn't analog either. That's not how bluetooth works.

But most likely you only meant the X O ▵☐ buttons. Oh and things like the sticks and triggers are still analog so you said it wrong anyway, no matter in which context.

I went with "I honestly don't even know yet" as my PS3 broke recently so I'm debating whether to get it fixed or just get a PS4.

If I get the PS3 fixed it I will play GT6 with a DS3 and a HDTV
If I get a PS4 I will be playing with it's controller and a HDTV (that's if GT6 is on PS4)

The buttons have 240 different placements, thus letting you feather the throttle in GT.
When the PS4 comes out, they are turning the DS4 X O ▵☐ buttons to digital.
So you will not be able to feather the throttle, it will be off, or on.

My point had nothing to do with Bluetooth...

You said controller. The controller is the whole thing mate, not just X O ▵☐.

And the first part was already well-known to me, which actually got very clearly indicated by my third sentence.

Until I can get a cheapish working G25, I'll be playing with a DS3 on either my 41" Sony Bravia or my 24" ASUS Monitor, but I'll be using 0 Steering Sensitivity to keep the cornering nice and smooth!
