I will be playing with a 47' LG LCD, 1080p. With my G27, NOTICE THE CARBON FIBER WRAP.

I actually welded up a new racing config. last month. Before, I used my G27 with a home made wooden table. Now its made from steel along with a Saab 93 seat I got from a salvage yard. Looking forward to the new set up since its much more comfy. For those 24% who use controllers, check out a force feedback wheel. Its adds so much more fun to the experience.

I used to play with a wheel but I don't dedicate very much time to gaming now so it's never more than 30 mins to 1hr before / after work a couple of days of week so I just play with the pad now. Besides, I got rid of my DFGT wheel well over a year ago so I only have a couple of pads now anyway.

As a ds3 drifter for 3 years I can assure you r2 has a lot more throttle controll than the right stick. I find it kinda strange that some one would want to use x or especially the right stick lol for accelerating.

Exactly, you're a drifter. Completely different throttle application. Even then I wouldn't say it's better.

Like I said, the right analog gives you more control. It's a fact. There are 256 degrees of input on the analog from side to side, while there's only 8 on the R2 button. A 900 degree wheel has around 16000 degrees of input. If you set up a controller on iracing, you will see what I mean. When you go side to side with an analog, the slider is moving smoothly, when you do it with a R2 button, it stutters.

You may be used to the R2, but there's no question, the right analog gives a more progressive input for the throttle and brake than R2/L2

DFGT with Gran TurGismo Paddles and stiffer pedal assembly on a 32" LCD LG.

Nice fro dude.

I intend to let GT6 sit in a drawer while watching for & reading-up on patches/fixes for about the first month.

Then if it isn't GT5.5 - DFGT, flimsy card-table, and 32" HDTV with Logitech speakers/subwoofer.

Don't need to, it's Reality :sly:, I don't want to be the victim of a save-data glitch/loss or any sort of a set-back on PD's part, so I'll just sit back and watch the chaos unfold (if any) and plan accordingly.

(Hopefully) I'll be getting a G27 + A copy of the Anniversary Edition of GT6 for Christmas, and I'll be using the 50inch TV in my living room.

If not, I probably won't get GT6.

The question is simple: How do you intend to play Gran Turismo 6, with its brand new physics modeling, better lighting engine, etc? 👍

Pics are welcome. Set ups are welcome. Let's see what you're bringing to the table! And maybe your set up includes a table!
:sly: ;)

Poll is active. Let's go!

I will play with my fantastic G27 on PS3 and my HD Sony tv.

I'm currently in the middle of a move, so right now I've been GT5-less for a couple months... almost there though :D I can't bare the thought of playing my first hours of GT6 with a controller, I suck fiddling around with my thumbs, lol.. hoping just before Christmas I'm set up again.. and also a Thrustmaster T500 will replace the first batch G25 which was getting quite weak/useless (optical sensor went for a crap)

I used a heavy coffee table and attached a removable and rock solid wheel mount, also you can see the 'standalone' shifter mount... cost me $0 using scrap plywood and is waaay better than the flimsy wheel stands on the market..

TV is a 42" Sony Bravia from '08
Pioneer 7.1 with Polk/JBL speakers

DS3, I don't have a good place for my wheel in front of my TV and don't have there extra power for the force feedback, so that means I am forced to use DS3. Too bad I only can use my wheel (In a comfortable way) with rFactor in my computer :(

Mainly because of convenience, I will continue to sit on the floor in front of the telly with the basic controller. I have a G27 that I paid plenty for but I honestly wonder if it works properly. In GT5 I drive in a straight line and the wheel wriggles and vibrates constantly then I turn in and clip a ripple strip and....... nothing. Kind of ridiculous and annoying, you get a shake to the palm from the DS3 as soon as you clip something and nothing otherwise, feels like I get better feedback with it. Perhaps there will be some changes in GT6 that results in the G27 feeling more realistic to me ( I will pull it out of the box and give it another try ), or perhaps my wheel is just faulty. :(

Unfortunately there is no feedback as of yet from rumble strips. Let's hope that's updated for GT6. This wiggling down the straight I've heard before but never experienced. Does it sort of feel like the back end is swinging around and making the wheel move at the same time? Try to keep a firm hold on the wheel and make only tiny inputs when going in a straightline and and see if that helps. You definitely can't manhandle a car with a wheel the way you would with a DS3.

I have a vague memory of my G27 vibrating down a straight, but I think it was when I had a screwball setup for the car. Is this a constant occurrence with your G27? Have you tested it with a variety of stock cars?

I posted my setup in another thread, but this one seems like the better choice:

Wheel: Logitech G25 with GTEye brake mod and wheelstand pro. Also Abarth badges to make it faster ;)
Headset: Sharkoon Xtactic SP through Turtle Beach 5.1 decoder
TV: Mitsubishi HC1500 running at @102"

I've also recently dumped the wifi in favor of a wired connection (gig-e to the router). It seems faster, but I don't have a logical reason why (since it's still not pushing near what the wireless or my outside connection could take).
