How do you keep Gran Turismo 6 fun?

One thing I've found to be quite fun is to see how every car preforms on the lowest grade tires and fully de-tuned. Yes de-tuned.

The AI can actually be challenging if you drive a de-tuned Honda Odyssey on comfort hards with no aids.

I take on project cars, pick any road car at random, any track at random and give it a run. Then set a target time and try to hit it with the least money spent as possible. I became sick of rabbit chasing long ago so only actually race in the odd seasonal to top up funds.

Keep it fun? Not sure about that.... I did not really play it for about 8 months. Then I got a new T300 wheel and came back to GT6 after having a lack luster experience with it using Grid AS and tinkering with the settings to no avail.. With the T300 wheel and pedals set up well, grabbed some old racing gloves, turned up the FFB to 5/3, jumped into arcade race with the Lotus 97T, turn all assists off, cranked up the volume on the head set and raced a few tracks.. man the T300 is a freaking sweat wheel.

It felt too strong before and I was racing with the FFB at 3/2 but when i thought about it and put some racing gloves on.. now at 5/3 FFB it feels amazing.. and that Lotus actually sounds pretty good with a nice headset. Sure the AI sucks even on professional and 10 aggressive .. but it gave me cars to pass..

The T300 is so much better than my old worked over modded DFGT (better damn well be for almost 4 times the cost) and I am told the FFB on PS4 pCars is much better .. cant wait for that (2-3 more days) but till then, GT6 has been brought back to life for me and put a huge smile on my face :D

I agree with others about keeping things fresh is best achieved by participating in online leagues and clubs. They can offer some of the best competitive virtual racing you can experience. Practicing and doing setup time trials for organized races to get ready for the main events are a good fun also. Leagues can offer full grids of similarly skilled racers to race against that will have your heart racing and your knuckles white, how can you get bored with that?
A sample of just one out there, how can you not want to experience something like this?

Pretty much been running Stock 2010 NASCARs on 40% wet track. It is a high-banked 1.25 mile track.

It is pretty close to handling like a dirt car. It is actually faster to drift!

Take a sub account, delete save data, start over. I'm in my third run through now. It's actually more fun now that the game is more complete than day one. Credits come easy and I never feel like I've got to buy everything. I keep a garage around 175 and I have all the cars I need.

For me I try to get the most realistic experience I can get. Keeps the game fresh and interesting big time. Anyone looking for a new experience with GT6 shoot me a PM.

Keep making you own tracks in course maker and drive on other people's courses. Once you have reached the track limit, delete the tracks and start again.
