How I USED to make 5,000,000 credits/hour through Custom Races... using a Fiat. But not anymore.

Speed them up a bit. With a 170mph cap I'm still lapping them four times even on a wallride setup. At 180mph chances are that'd be twice, and possibly none at all at 185...
I also sped up my AI cars but i find i enjoy the hands on driving for this race, passing and dodging the traffic, why let the PS4 have all the fun?

Gotta love when you can afford to buy the McLaren F1 BMW and the Bugatti Chiron in the same day thanks to this thread. Then I made this.

Here's a new issue, but I think I found the solution. I noticed the right stick drift/wall riding wasn't being effective. Like it was lagging. I'd drive in the infield and get reset back to the main track. Chiaki was running very poorly at about 10 fps or worse. Closing Chiaki and re-opening made the remote play smooth again, and it looks like the car is wall riding more effectively now. Phew!

Pd at least dont seem to be in hurry to patch the glitch, they did leave the ticket glitch we had last year for like 3 weeks
I’ve been playing since Sept ‘22, so I missed out on any of those. I kinda thought it would be hard for them to fix this without backpedaling on what they’ve already added (400% from Gold Circuit Exp). But it’s clearly on their radar now with the mention in yesterday’s known issue post. I suppose the way they’ll fix it is by only allowing the PP by staying in range instead of what we have now. What do you think?

They'll fix it by having prize values depend on the actual PP of the cars, not the base PP value; that's the bug (a pretty long-standing one that wasn't, until recently, relevant), and that's why it works as it does right now.

If they do that, it will still be somewhat problematic, since PP does not take transmission gearing into account. Granted that solution will still nerf this method big time.

Got to love hands-free scripting.

I finally got mine working without bugs. Switched it on at 8 AM this morning and it’s been running for the last ~15 hours. Having spent 90 million credits on cars yesterday I was down to 10 million. Now I’m back up to 65 million.

That’s about 3.7 million credits per hour, totally hands-free, with no intervention for me. Love it.

Oh, and after a day of grinding, 30k cr for engine overhaul and body rigidity rebuild doesn’t seem so bad.

Don't know if it's just my ****** internet, but it looks like whenever I use safetyp1 's script with chiaki, it causes it to completely crash out after some laps. Sometimes after around lap 10-12 and in this case after lap 20. It's probably my internet, but I thought I should ask first.

I keep reading about scripts - anyone care to explain to me how that works? I have no idea how scripts can be used on a console...

Has to be done via remote play.

I've only just set it up on my PC and giving it a test.

Well thats a joke. Here is the AHK script i developed based off the old one by Septomor:

  1. gt7, ps5 required
  2. download chiaki v2.2, install
  3. double click your ps5 in chiaki
  4. use this to get your psn id in base64, enter in chiaki -> https://psn.flipscreen.games/
  5. go to ps5 settings, remote play, link device, itll show the pin, enter pin in chiaki
  6. download autohotkey v1.1 deprecated version
  7. download my script from pastebin. Save it into a .ahk file.
  8. map nos to L1, accel R2, steering Left stick. Set units to metric kph.
  9. get in tomahawk car, tune to setup screenshot, make sure ballast 200kg -50 position, 70 power output
  10. setup custom race at daytona tri oval, 20cars, start pos 20, 26 laps, Start Type - Rolling Start, Boost off, weak sliptstream, max out the rolling start interval, Nitrous Usage Time Multiplier: 10x, custom opponents from garage (it should fill up with tomahawks), Rival Difficulty - Professional Level -> save this as a race setup for later use. it should state 1.031M cr for winning.
  11. get in your abarth 595, K20 eng swap, fully tune it except bumpers/spoilers. tune it as per screenshots.
  12. go setup the custom race at daytona tri oval again, load the race setup saved from step 9
  13. start the race, pause the race, hover over retry
  14. open the script file, set to pixel option
  15. hit start
  16. you should get 1.5M with clean race bonus every time, about 4.5M/hour. laptimes should be ~48s
  17. Set tc1View attachment 1302227View attachment 1302229View attachment 1302226View attachment 1302228

Ok where have I gone wrong.

Me too. Granted it gets a bit boring, but there is some unexpected moments that really test whether you are paying attention 😅

It's also quite interesting to see how the lap times vary.

@Tidgney did a piece recently about the variations in lap times in the same event as weather conditions change. This oval grind has given me the opportunity to be consistent enough to be able to observe these changes for myself, and it is really noticable how the wind speed and direction affects lap times.

I could only manage 50.5xxs until I did a race where the wind was quite high and blowing ↖️ direction - basically this gives you tremendous exit speed out of the second banked curve and I hit 50.3xx three times in one 15 lap race, so there is no doubt it was the wind that made the difference.

How do you make the moneymaker Abarth drivable?

I have not done extensive testing but i think time of day has an effect also. I run a little faster (not by a lot) during night time than during the default afternoon. Even adding a time multiplier (I use 30x) so it goes from day to night had me running faster after dark....

So now I just run starting it at midnight so I see the sunrise during the last 3-4 laps of the race.

Now if I can figure out how to get AFK working...... Can these AFK setups work on mac also?

Night time is generally faster as the air temp drops which naturally increases a car's horsepower (colder air is denser and so contains more oxygen molecules for combustion)

I didn't try night race but in day light the faster time is late morning.
Also i notice that even with the same direction and speed wind , some times the car is more stable and don't hit any walls during the race .
Other times start sliding bit by a bit and hit the wall .
I use SM in front RS in the back cause i found that is better this way .
With SS in front, sometimes after brushing the wall ,gets to the other way around and that cause loosing the CRB .
Lately for safety reasons and avoid the walls i put ASM ON and things are better.
Its a bit slower ( 44s instead of 43s ) but not big deal.

My script is still running perfectly. I restarted it last night after the daily race bonus (that will bomb it out) and it is still running happily this morning. For script environment set up I set up per . Then for the cars:

Tomahawk:

I use the Beetle as it is stable:

For race settings:

For the race I run 7 laps as nitro will run out just as I cross the finish. Key settings are rolling start interval and midnight weather (less wind) and equal conditions mode = on. The last one will mean that each retry will have the same conditions.

Then I have two scripts:

1) "Start money" this will go through the motions of selecting the race options and running the first race. I run this with looping off on PS4Macro. When it finishes, the pointer is positioned next to Retry.

2) I then load "Make Money", switch PS4Macro to loop mode and hit play. This will retry the race, earn credits with CRB (~414k cr in sub 7 minutes) and then restart. Total script time with gaps for menus selection, a bit of overrun at the end of the race to allow for slowing down as the engine goes bad, is around 7.6 minutes.

When you record your script, what I found works is start the beetle with no nitro and move it over to the wall on full throttle, once at the wall then use nitro. The steering input should be constant through out the race with the red steering indicator just a few degrees off center. Basically just enough to maintain a straight line. Do not change it for the curves. For boost I run that continuously except for the last corner, where I come off boost half way through the corner, just keep on regular throttle until after the car has past the bump in the wall (which can unsettle it at full boost) and then as you approach the curve at the finish line, engage boost again until the same point.

Doing this, with my nitro settings and the x3 fuel burn, will have 0.3 laps of fuel left at end of race and the boost running out either just before or just after the finish line depending on state of engine (if the engine is fresh the boost will run out just after the line, if the engine is worn/bad, the boost runs out just before).

This method earned me 84m cr in 22 hours (as I actually played for a couple of hours).

Hopefully this will help others.

Are you doing donuts? You might be rear ending one of the other cars. Or Chiaki is lagging on your PC and the wall ride is delayed. That's what my issue was. If it's rear ending, space out to 100 ft or 31m. If it looks like the wall riding is delayed, try closing Chiaki completely and re-opening.
Lap times 48s?
Keep Chiaki window in focus, don’t click away
Did you write the script from pastebin? I've seen a new thing happening - car is sitting at a stand still in the middle of the track. Just curious if you did, and what you think could be the cause of that.

I believe I figured out the window in focus problem before you posted. I had been remoting in to my home PC using Chrome RDP and I bet that was taking the window focus away each time I did it.
