How to joinHigh Speed Touring - Track Days

Step 1: Post your request to join along with your PSN ID and GT6 Drivers Name in this thread. A Friend Request from gtp-jaydoc will be sent to you.

Still waiting for that Friends Request  I'll take the Ford GT Mark I '66 for the "Not in GT5 Event"

:dunce: Sorry!, I'll send one tonight!

@jay*doc I gotta go with the Lotus Elise '11 I love the Lotus which are my favorite cars in the Game! Thanks Jay! Looking forward to getting back to Thursday Night Racing! Ill make sure to have a great Lotus Tune on my Lotus!

Thanks!
You are brave! I do not like the Lotus Cars, way, way, WAY above my skill level… At least in GT5, I have not tried in GT6.

Jay I won't be able to make for the next few weeks because of work.
Even though there's 190 maintenance techs at this plant their still short handed on night shifts. So any scheduled day off I work their paying time and a half plus a 50 dollar bonus.
That's just under 500 bucks for one 12 hr shift. Hard to pass up that kind of money when it's available. Hopefully they'll have some more hired by the end of next month.
No problem Randy, you know our doors are always open for you and feel free to join in whenever you are able!

I'm regretting taking the GT350 now.
You can still change your car Derp, if you want to use something different feel free!

See everyone tonight at 8EST!

Wait! Is there no doubles? I've been tuning the '14 Stingray :mischievous: not a bad car a lil heavy I'm walking the dog with the twins I should be back before race time. I'm sure someone else picked the vette already no big deal I can run something else if I have to.:gtpflag:

You are good with the Stingray, no one chose it yet, but doubles are allowed anyway, that concept didn't fly past the 1 time I tried it.

Also, room is 1472-4710-9909-6401-1485

We may stay in a public room tonight, so please be patient with the walk-ins.

It's not a concept or proto anymore although that ones still available in GT6. At least its tunable now.

Good racing last night! Even with Gt6's glitches! I had a blast driving my Ferrari! I figured out how to beat @Ph1sher ... You take a car with about 200 more bhp, he must drive backwards and viola. Although you may be haunted by "ghost ph1sh" afterwards! Jk phish! Never a dull moment!

 the lotus is a blast to drive

Gr8racrs won the night time DRC race which is in itself, very commendable. However, as I watched and recorded replay footage for my video last night, I discovered that Gr8racrs spun, crashed and went off track, losing control about 6 or 7 times in that one race alone. Each time he got back into it with more enthusiasm than most have at the start of a race. He never gave up. Many others would have thrown in the towel after 2 or 3 big shunts, but not him. He went form 4th to first at least 5 times. He chased me down time and time again. I love it when people have that "never give up attitude" and Gr8racrs impressed the hell out of me last night, and not just because he beat me for the win

Welcome To HST Euclid! @jay*doc will get you all set and added to the Drivers List!

We all are looking forward to racing with you this Thursday!! 👍

Welcome @euclid58 , I'll send you a FR tonight. I think you'll find this group very fun, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Thanks everyone for coming out and bearing with us on Thursday! Between the rough starts and trying to manage it as a public room, it was an adventure. I snapped some photos of the Mt. Panorama action, some awesome racing once we got going!

The Start was as if our cars were simply thrown on the track from the heavens above, and they had the dents to prove it!

Once we got through turn one it was a dash down the long straight!

@BustedFoSho got out to an early lead, taking @GT_Racer22 and @lesportif with him.

@jay*doc and @RacingOtaku86 had a drag race for position past the Start Finish line.

Once @GT_Racer22 got out in front, not even light could keep up with him!

@BionicDerp had an awesome race, and his Rocket really reeled in @GT_Racer22 in the turns!

@3forSpeed definitely had the best seat in the house!

And he really worked his car! Here he is holding off @RacingOtaku86 !

@Ph1sher fought with his Lotus the whole night, but stuck with it!

@jay*doc (predictably) stayed way underpowered and brought up the rear of the pack… but looked good doing it :sly:👍

And the "Dukes of Hazzard" Award goes to @ANFD for this impressive jump over the asphalt after a wicked fast off track! If only it wasn't ghosted.

Thanks all again for your patience during the race, hopefully next week will be more stable.

@GT_Racer22 Ran out if time this morning. I don't get to play much...

And I realized what that bean if light is coming after your car. It's the Aliens, they must be recruiting...
Mind if I do it if I have some time? 🤬 you found out my secret! Shhhhhhhh...

Thanks ANFD! I do think my car is a bit of a cheat though. It's just one of those cars that will always win. Although it was a fun race, I didn't like it how I was able to catch up and win like that.it was kind of too easy. I don't know if I want to choose a different car for tomorrow or what :indiff:

That Lotus shot
I thought it was going to be a drift at first and with it being the Phish, I thought it was going to be a drift. But no . I feel kinda embarrassed after the video. It was like it was focused on me  And that part where the car didn't want to go straight after re entering the track... Pure embarrassment...

What's up, super-friends? Thought you saw enough of me?
I've wanted to join you guys over here on the tuning side ever since I joined Enduro but the 8pm start time just wasn't ideal. Well, I've managed to pull a few strings, grease a few palms, and I should have a much better availability on Thursday nights. I may be a little inconsistent (appearance-wise I mean) as it is a little early for me, but I should be able to show for most Track days.

So, if you'll have me, I'd love to sign up and complete my Thursday, Friday, Saturday trifecta :)

Great! See you tomorrow night hopefully! 👍 @jay*doc, get this man signed up!

Yes, we'll most certainly get you signed up! Join in anytime you like, and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

On a side note (there's always a side note) I bought my first car that cost over a million! May use in for an upcoming, but not yet scheduled, Gum Baller Track Days, a track day event for 1 million credit and up cars.

See you all tomorrow! Same Bat place, same Bat channel!

I just wanted to run this by, as I haven't read through this entire thread to see if there were any added restrictions and such, to make sure I've read all the regs right and such (I browsed though the car list, and then picked and tuned whilst slightly intoxicated last night:crazy:)

I grabbed the Subaru S206 NBR CHALLENGE PACKAGE '12
-Oil change, improved rigidity.
-Picked up all the tunable parts (trans, brakes, LSD, etc...)
-Weight reduction S3

Stock engine this put me at about 520pp if I remember correctly.
I noticed that the peak power of the S206 peaks early and then drops off drastically at high RPM. To level this off to give me a nice flat line for the most steady power across RPM, I threw in the High Turbo, and maybe a chip and exhaust (don't remember exactly).

This put the PP over 570, which I then limited down to 550.

Then I played with the suspension and differentials, and finally tuned the transmission to put all the gears right in the max power zone.

It trail brakes nicely, and with the 4wd shifted more to the back wheels, I can get back on the power immediately after braking. The tail gets out a little but the front power straightens it back out nicely.

I just want to make sure I'm meeting all the regs here and I didn't miss anything that makes this illegal (namely, the fact that I overpowered and then limited back down to 550)

Should be fun tonight with like 5 drunken laps of practice

All sounds good to me. I encourage minimal use of engine limiting (because I'm trying to replicate Real Life and most people don't get to a track and then bolt in a restrictor plate) but since there's no setting for it in the room setup, it's no problem.

Most events will specify that a cars non tuned PP cannot be higher then the events limit. This prevents a 1000hp monster from getting a 50% limit and still walking away from the group.

Thanks for checking though, better to know ahead of time than when we are ready to start the race. :sly:👍

If I remember correctly (which I probably don't) my limiter is at around 87.5%

I can probably lose a few things, and/or drop the exhaust to a lesser grade and try to keep the limiter in the mid-high 90%'s just so I'm not flexing the rules *too* much. :D
