Wow! First we got the BMW M4 from last week, and now we're getting Mario's Hudson Hornet this coming Thursday 19th! How awesome is that? :D I also hope we get Mario's racing suit, just like Senna. That's the same suit the racers from the past warn when racing classic cars, that's my favorite. Can't wait to drive this car! It be even more awesome if we got that track along with it. :)

Does anyone else find it frustrating that they're going to give us this car but no proper dirt ovals (or short-track paved ovals) to race it on? "Here's Mario Andretti's first race car for you to enjoy, but you won't be able to enjoy it on any kind of circuit resembling what it was actually raced on."

Such a classy project.

@BrandonW77 I thought the same thing. Twin Ring Motegi will be the most appropriate oval for now. I guess it's possible they plan to introduce a dirt oval as part of this or in the future though.

We'll have to make do with Twin Ring Motegi oval for now, but I'd be willing to bet $20million GT6 credits that Mario's Hudson never made it to Japan.....nor Daytona or Indy. It would be very nice if they could at least give us Nazareth dirt track to go with the car.......or a perhaps a course-creater that will allow us to make our own?
💡..........eventually.

Maybe track editor ovals in dirt? I mean what else is a GPS Visualiser for?

I just wish Kaz would find appropriate rival cars for these interesting cars we get. Too often they have nothing to race against. :banghead:

So let me get this straight... a replica of the Hudson has already been modelled and is hidden in the game. (Presumably it's this one.) So now the new replica has been completed and PD are supposedly modelling it for the game... how does that work?

I was wondering this myself. Supposedly they just finished the car a few days ago and gave it to Mario, but we have proof that the car was modeled and already in the game at launch (or at least in the day-one patch). So the video showing the guys photographing/scanning the car seems to be a bit impossible. If the car was only finished a few days ago then how did they manage to model it and get it hidden into the game well over a week ago??

I'm sorry, what?

That's precisely my question. ;) How did PD model the car weeks before the build was finished?

Turns out I was wrong, by the way; the car hidden in the game isn't the same one in the Autoweek article. The windows are different.

Maybe for show.To show off the laser scanner and how they record sound.

Great how fast the car is coming to the game, although I wonder when they've started modeling to bring it to the game just about some days after restoration...

Now I keep my fingers crossed for a standard "Hudson Hornet" in GT6, too.

PR broke tempus continuum here, unless someone at PD modeling team drives a tuned Delorean.

The in game Hudson appeared pretty much modelled in the GT6 First Love teaser uploaded on 26th of november.

Because they're Time Travellers.

I really do hope they take advantage of the access and license arrangements with the Senna Foundation and Mario. There are such a wonderful collection of cars tied to both of these drivers. I really do hope PD sees the potential for this opportunity and delivers to us a spectacular array of Formula One cars, Nascar cars, and Sports racing cars.

Yeah, just a car and a racing suit would be a waste of time and money. I mean, at least for Senna they paid a license...

Thats it ? The car looks is like that with the radiator exposed and no headlights ?
back when they used to race them, the less body the lighter the car was, you raced with the bare minimum needed to go faster, its like backwoods racing, you bring what you have, remember this was not racing from yesterday.
