Normally I have used to deal with persons who understand speech and can also understand something from text what they read, but I can make pictures for you, first I'll take a ten hour nap and then i'll do a barbwire version pictures for you.
Cool, see you tomorrow. Just be sure to use real examples, from real cars so we can double check the figures for ourselves, not numbers pulled out of thin air. I look forward to it:tup:

Have fun with your head in the sand while the rest of us deal with reality. You complaining about it will solve nothing and the regular racers in your group will potentially suffer from your unwillingness to take action if that's the path you follow.

No problem  I've never made it a secret that I used hybrids in both hybrid lobbies and regular lobbies in GT5 because I have nothing to hide. I never gained any performance advantage from it and freely shared any cars I made with anyone that wanted them. I simply used the hybriding tools to make crappy uncompetitive cars, more competitive against the better cars in the game. If that's cheating to you then so be it:tup:. If you actually understood how the hybriding system worked you would realize this was true. If you've never hybrided you're hardly qualified to discuss the subject are you?

Lets just use a hypothetical situation here for a minute. Nothing based in reality, just a total hypothetical.

Player A see his opponent is driving a really crappy underpowered car for this PP class, lets just say that player B, C, D and E also see this, and in some fairness of the game, they decide to go into a crappy car also to make the race more competitive.

Player E. The opponent in said crappy car. But is it really crappy? Or is it disguised, also known as hacked in the game world. No, it is not crappy, it is a hacked car, and driver A,B,C and D are none the wiser.

Race proceeds, everything is going good until the Clock hits 0, then out of nowhere player E takes off in his little box and blows away the opposition.

Now this could be one of many situations like this online effectively ruining the race for everybody in it.

You may use the argument that they should not have been lenient and used better cars, but it is the actual deceiving and dishonesty that gets to me. This might happen only once a week to someone online, but it could be enough to put a sour taste in their mouth forever.

Do you see this situation as fair game? I certainly do not.

So here's another question, though by this point I'm sure you'll fail to answer it as well as you did the challenge to your apparent legal degree: If you don't care what he thinks about you boycotting his tunes because of something unrelated to his tuning ability, what was the point of even saying it?
Because if he's not supposed to care that you went out of your way to say how you lost respect for him and and as a result will not use his tunes (still not sure the relation, but okay), and you don't care that he doesn't care about that, the only remaining explanation I can see (and forgive me if I'm "misrepresenting" again) is that you're typing words for the sake of typing words rather than an actual attempt at conveying a message.

To let him know my stance on the subject and what I thought of it. I couldn't care less if he gives a damn, he probably doesn't.

And what is this about apparent legal degrees? Where did that come from, are you talking with the voices in your head again, because this stuff is surely not coming from me.

Also, not using tunes is akin to not donating to Lance Armstrongs Live Strong, his cheating has nothing to do with saving cancer, but it will be a cold day in hell before I donate any money to that organization. Get it? You seem to think everything is black and white with no gray inbetween, it is right or wrong, left or right, truth or false, there are other options apart from wondering if he cares and typing words for the sake of it.

As I've said many times, you cannot turn a lemon into something that will beat an Elise, you can only turn it into an Elise disguised as a lemon. So if I turn up on the grid with an Elise, or an Elise that looks like a Mini Marcos the result is the same, I win running away. How is your race affected by me winning by 15 seconds in an Elise or winning by 15 seconds in an Elise that looks like a Mini Marcos? Would you be happier if I just used an Elise every race like a lot of people do?

It's not a question of whether I care about you using my tunes or not, that doesn't enter my mind. As I said in the first post of my garage, I post tunes because I enjoy tuning and would like to help the tuning challenged members of GTP win more races. It's what I enjoy most about the game and I do it for it's own sake, not for accolades or reward of any kind. If you have some moral objection that causes you to not use my tunes it makes no difference to me. You will do what you gotta do. BTW I highly recommend @praiano63 and @Motor City Hami both excellent tuners:tup:

We got us a keyboard warrior here:lol:
Ha Ha Ha,
I laugh with you because that is all you can do

No real replies just a cheater/hackers attempt to justify their actions.

Sad really, because for the most part I like you Johnny.

I've answered all your posts clearly and directly and you called me a cheater and told me not to come into your lobby. That's your way of responding to someone that's been upfront and honest just because you don't like the answers you're getting.

I keep seeing the same old argument "restrict PP, cant cheat PP system" apparently people forgot that negative PP cars have been created in GT5. Whose to say that won't happen in GT6.

HP limits..problem solved.

That is precisely why I put the hypothetical situation in, in this situation, hypothetical said people changed their cars to weaker cars based on the assumption the hacking player was using a non-hacked car. The question in this situation was, Do you see this as fair or not? I know it is only hypothetical, but it is a situation which could arise very easily.

If you want to take it to that extreme then yes, I guess that's unfair. It wouldn't occur to me to even think of this. I don't pay attention to anyone else on the grid unless they are on my friend's list or I know them from GTP. I race my race and if someone is close to me I pay attention no matter what car they are in. I make my own car selection from my own garage based on what I enjoy driving or recently tuned and I never race a car again after I win, I always change cars. Usually I change cars every race unless I had an epic fail and want to give a car another go. But if you are selecting your car based on what you see on the grid, then yes, hybriding is going to be an issue for you and some might call that unfair.

Remember GT5's hacking timeline though, the unrealistic 100K Red Bulls came first, then the more realistic ones came out and were made easy with apps for it, so give it time.

Sadly, the unrealistic ones never went away. They just kept crashing and crashing and crashing and crashing.

No, the game got ruined when parents bought their immature 12 year olds a PS3 and GT6(as well as every other online-enabled game). Hacking can't even ruin time trials as PD did it themselves by making SRF an option.

So yeah, saying hacking is ruining the game is like saying an STD ruins a hooker.

And you're the person to decide that for others, right? What's your best result in a GT5 or GT6 TT?

Hacked cars are already online and PD will add thing's to try to stop them but the hackers always stay one step ahead, shoot maybe the hackers should create the rest of the game we might actually get things done

A game full of 3000hp Honda Fits. Why didn't Kaz think of that?

Modifying a save file is a bit different to creating a game.

It has 3000HP when some asswipe comes along and decides to open the can of worms, just like with GT5.

Hackers just need to 🤬 off.
Agreed, I can just tell that GT6 (like GT5) will be completely ruined by hackers. Kinda sad really...
If they don't like the game the way it is I don't know why they play it. Oh well, just gonna need to make lobbies again with "NO HACKS" in the title. :grumpy:

Honestly, the entire "hacked cars ruin the game" argument is absolutely ridiculous. What you will find is that majority of people actually thoroughly enjoyed having the freedom of engine swaps, stance, and just all round more fun and customization...
The people that made the game worse with it, and made ridiculous, overpowered cars, are the same people that racers would complain about anyway, people that would most likely find some stupid way to cheat without hacks... Dirty Driving, Shortcuts etc.
Lobbies can have restrictions for a reason guys....

And plus, you all want a blissful world, full of normality and even playing without hacked cars, be 'Realistic,' it isn't going to happen... Look at every game that has, you know... ever been made ever? It's inevitable that the hacks will come sooner or later, so why not have them come sooner, allow the community to form the ideas of customization, whilst PD sit there with pen in hand taking more ideas..
Plus if it comes sooner, there is more motivation to fix a new game rather than an old game, so the problem would be dealt with much quicker anyway...

Not sure if that was worth my time, but, felt like giving my 2 cents..

Wow, I'm surprised that this happened this quickly. I'm not sure how I feel about the hacking, it seems to me you're never really going to know if the people you're racing are running subtle hacks and getting an unfair advantage, at least the 3000hp Civic users are obvious. But I just don't see how hacking completely ruins the game. There are problems within the game itself that annoy me more than this.

Ohhh nooo not this again . I was hoping this wouldn't come to gt6 cause hybriding ruined my rep on gt5. Now how am I suppose to win without being called a cheater??

Hackers and wannabe hackers are either delusional or pathetic liars. I am sick of hearing this bs about how it is for your personal entertainment, and how you would NEVER inflict this cheating upon the online community. If that were true, the online community would never know about it. Unfortunately, we all know that it has ruined GT5 online. A permanent ban on players should be put in effect for all online hackers. I would also support a public flogging.

I hope that PD Jump on top of this as soon as possible, do what ever they can to prevent stupid hacks from getting used, even going as far as banning users from online racing.

Unfortunately that does block out those who use those hacks to make "Hybrids", which are themselves ok, but in a online game, it is still a bit unfair when you see a *insert car here* but it drives more like a *tuning company version of previous car*.

Lets think, PD should know the maximum HP of every car in the game when fully tuned up and tinkered with, they could auto-ban anyone who goes online with a car that exceeds that HP number by 10% or something.

edit: paraphrased my wall of text

That wouldn't do anything for chassis/engine/drivetrain etc. swaps that are in the range for that car. Most of my GT5 hybrids were engine and transmission swaps. I dropped the 69 Camaro RM motor into the 2010 Camaro SS for example. Performance was the same it just sounded a lot better. Dropped a 6 speed into a Lamborghini Countach and again it was more fun but no faster on the track it was already blazing fast, I just love sawing through the gears. I put a Yellowbird shell on an RGT frame so it drove like an RGT but looked like a Yellowbird and it was great fun at 550PP but no faster than an RGT would have been at that PP.

You won't catch any of those hybrids unless PD does a spec check on virtually the entire car. You'd think they would have set that up originally given what happened in GT5. :boggled:

If you don't use restrictions, how is a hacked car any different from a redbull car showing up?

Umm? Really, people actually gave likes for this comment?

To answer it, by the fact that it LOOKS like a Redbull Car and SOUNDS like a Redbull car, and then kicking the person from the lobby for using it.

This is a completely different issue and nothing at all to do with hacked cars in lobbies.

I keep seeing the same old argument "restrict PP, cant cheat PP system" apparently people forgot that negative PP cars have been created in GT5. Whose to say that won't happen in GT6.

Amid all the other same old countless excuses and rationalizations I've read on this forum which read like all the other excuses and rationalizations people have come up with for cheating in online video games they seem to be relying heavily on the assumption that the hackers can't hack the PP system as well. The game itself is open to hacking...but that PP number is somehow untouchable and secure. Somehow, I'm not buying that.

Again, there is no debate here. What is being discussed is a clear violation of Sony TOS. The only question is do Sony have the stones to stand behind their TOS?
