Also nice to see the Arta team finishing with both cars today and picking up some points :)

I Knew this wasn't going to be a good race for me and thought I should try only two 2 stops and race on hards......really not the greatest idea. :banghead: I lost way to much time while I was driving on hards and therefore I changed my strategy again and went back to mediums on my second stop. Unfortunately at this point in time it was already to late. :grumpy:

I hope Suzuka will be better and I can pick up a couple more points for team Arta!

Overall I still had a good time and learned a lot more today!

Good race guys!!!

I think if I had gone for a 3-stopper (totally possible for me today) and if I had not got caught up with Joey and Adam then I probably would have beaten Falcon. But I decided to go with a 4-stopper after doing the first for a 3-stopper because it meant that I could push every single lap, which was so much fun :)

I don't know about that. I think only the ballast hold you down. Just like Falcon.

Ok, SSR5 certainly isn't an NSX track when you've got a metric tonne of ballast :sly:

Just watched the replay, nothing too interesting really. Falcon got pole and ProPersian got the fastest lap with a 1:16.138 and Adam got the second fastest lap with a 1:16.147. So, so close there.

Yes , great race for me today , my first win :)

From I saw Pro and Falcon start on softs I knew Immortal would fight it out with them and they would all kill their tires and that's exactly what happened . The 3 of them had made 2 pit stops by lap 16 I knew my 3 stop was going to have me a decent lead to manage my pace and win .

No pole , no fastest lap , but a steady pace can sometimes be the best strategy.

Congrats Maxi you drove a great race .

Had no real issues apart from that crash with joey but it could of been a lot worse , I got lucky there .

Tomorrow I will discuss the race with the other stewards .

Suzuka next !! I can't wait .

Haven't really checked the replay just yet, but I would like to ask Arkano if he could do like he did on Monza. Share some pictures, you have a feel for good pictures ;)

I just had to eat something after the race, I was so hungry just before the race that my stomach started to make strange noise.

Had a great race, but I think I managed to pull out of the pit just in front of Arkano. Wasn't sure how it looked for him so I let him pass me a few turns later. He actually had a decent pace to have the extra weight. But eventually I passed him and unlucky him and adam was involved in something I just saw in my rear view mirror and I could easly gain a good lead on them.

Getting down to watch the replay now I guess, not sure how much I get to watch before I find my way to the bed though.

Impressed with so many people finding their way to teamspeak, a few guys need to adjust a bit on their sensitivity or something as I get some echo, some steering wheel noise and Troylee you have some strange noise sometimes. But I like the effort put down to make it work guys.

I'll take some photo's of the replay and share them tomorrow when I get up 👍

There was no need to let me past, you had come out of the pits with just enough space to stop me from bumping into you, good sportsmanship all the same 👍 Ironically though, once you let me past I thought you'd just made a mistake or something and something in the back of my head said 'let's just relax and conserve the tyres now', which is what led me to have two poor laps where you and Adam caught me again :P

I dropped connection, but I saw an amazing race with Propersian stretching out soft tires the same distance as Tony Kart (Immortal-pilot) on mediums, and then the pack of 3(Maxi,Erik,Skeng) staying out for about 4 laps more to take the lead. i guessing this race was all about tire strategy then raw speed this round.

Something was definitely wrong with my tune for this track because you guys we're burning off your fronts more than the rears, and I was shooting off my rears way sooner than my fronts. I'm guessing sway bar, toe, or camber settings was the key here? On the up side now I can calculate the mileage you have to be able to complete on a set of tires to be competitive for a good finishing position. 👍

Good Race Fellas, live from the sidelines!

I know our rules say you should complete 75% of the race to get points for last position, but we haven't really followed that rule in a long time and it's about time to re write it.
You came back in and then you kept random people out and you show interest for whats going on. So you will get points for last place JoeTruck. I know it's a rather small price for a pretty boring thing like dropping out like you did. But I guess it's better than nothing.

I watched the replay and watching 14 cars go through the tunnel in lap 1 is just awesome. It's simply massive ;) Looking forward to a big grid on Suzuka also now.

Not watched the replay yet but I should have time later to record the videos :). Don't know if they'll be uploaded tonight though as I'll edit them down to approx 10 minutes first although my editing isn't great though. ;)

I had a great start on the softs to get the lead real quick and it got me almost 9/10 seconds lead on falcon, but i made a very big mistake ( staying out 1 extra lap causing me to lose more than a half of the lead i made )

very weird in practice e i got 12 laps but in race i think i could only make it 9
but overall ''ok'' race apart from a few mistakes

Looking forward to suzuka with no ballast anymore with is great, nix will be very fast around there!

And man i was impressed with the guys at the back showing great respect to the blue flag rule,i just saw them slowing down and all going wide and stuff it was really sweet to see them doing that and yea great job !
Congrats to Digi for a great race & strategy !:)

If the other stewards want we can meet online later and on teamspeak to discuss the race , it shouldn't take us very long .

I will be available after 2 pm gmt

i guessing this race was all about tire strategy then raw speed this round.

I had no strategy  for the first time, Normally i do. I was not comfy whit my tyres and actually never could let them work good for 10 laps. Didn't even test hards and softs. So i was trying out alot of setups 15 minutes before the race. At the last minutes i was testing driving whit lower downforce. I got disconnected and got some problems the get in the race-lobby. I forgot to turn my downforce back on the maximum. and started the qualy. Lucky i drive in a Motul.

So i started the race whit no real strategy. The only thing i knew i had to do 11 lap stints and one of 12 laps if i wanted to get some good points. So i choose to be drive "easy" whitout fighting for places. At the start i just followed Skengdigi, but his pace was to fast for my tyres. So i kinda let him go; for me it was a hard thing to do. After that just drove my own race and lucky i had no traffic. Towards the end Immortal did pass me. I didn't defend really. he was faster anyway and i didn't want to risk mistakes. After that i got some traffic & propersian was behind me. But still got on podium.

I really like this track & i am very happy whit the result but is it wrong to say i didn't enjoy the race? I like to 'use' my car. Now i just drove around and trying to be consistent and saving tyres. there was nu fun in it. But if thats what it takes to be in front i will go for this again.

And man i was impressed with the guys at the back showing great respect to the blue flag rule,i just saw them slowing down and all going wide and stuff it was really sweet to see them doing that and yea great job !

Indeed 👍

I know exactly how you feel Maxi , I wasn't pushing the car to the limit but if it takes a steady pace to get on the podium then we have to do it .

Maxi when you passed me in the first few laps I did get worried for a bit , I thought I would get held up but luckily I got past you the following lap .

Monza is so far the best race out of the 3 we had , its an awesome replay to watch .

Monza is so far the best race out of the 3 we had , its an awesome replay to watch .

Monza was the best race we've done throughout three seasons of this championship, and I won :sly: :P

Hoping I can grab a top 4 position at least in Suzuka. All of the races now, except for SSR5, Cape Ring (I still think should be changed/removed) and Rome I feel confident at, so we'll see what happens there.

Cape Ring will be a tire disaster , hopefully I can work some magic there now .

Erik correct me if in wrong , I should be at 1070 kg for Suzukas race ?

The success ballast will look like this.

Falcon: 60kg+10kg-35kg Car weight 1135kg (rounded down to 1130kg)
Skengdigi 20kg-10kg+30kg ------- 1170kg
ProPersian 40kg-20kg (two times off podium 1130kg (stock weight)
Arkano +60kg -30kg ------------ 1130kg
IMMORTALPILOT 40kg+20kg ----- 1190kg
Maxitsu + 20kg ----------------- 1150kg

Worrying about this extra weight now , sigh , I guess 4th place would be the goal for this race .

My Suzuka pace in the past hasn't exactly been ' Immortal ' like if you know what I mean . But at just 30 laps and the possibility of rain I think this can be anyones race .

We have had 3 races and 3 different race winners .

Anyone practicing today , I'm going online in the next hour hope I see some of you online .

Picture time!

Joey spins collecting both me and Skendigi.

Sorry most of them were about my race, but it looked to me that everyone else had fairly boring races. SSR5 was a tyre strategy race imo, not a racing race :sly:

Nice Pics , it was quite an eventful race , if i had a worst crash there it could of cost me the race .

I think Suzuka could be another tyre strategy race

totally agree, it was all about tire tire and again tiressss, lets see what suzuka got in store for us

ill be on soon if anyone wants a go for some practice

After the new tyre model it will be about saving your tyres. All race in real life also is about saving tyres. Lot's of race series teams have their own crew forcing their racers to do small changes to their driving style to make the tyres last. So I guess saying it wasn't about racing, but preserving your tyres isn't true. I know the arcade feel the old tyre model had was more fun and we could do qualify laps in race.

I love the new tyre model, even though it might be a bit to much tyre wear now compared to real life. And please don't compare it to formula1. They have half the weight we have. Also the guys racing is professional drivers and they have very well payed team setting up the car just perfect for tyre wear and speed.

And we do 30 laps around Suzuka, not 53 witch formula 1 does. I guess the accelerated tyre wear works for us.

One thing is the facts though. Tyre wear is what it is.

That last picture were joey spins. That chicane is very tricky whit a NSX. Whit a GTR its so easy there.

I had no problems with that chicane at all, if I went in slightly off-line then a small lift would suffice to make sure I didn't get up on the curbs.

Stewards report:

Netherdragon 10 second penalty: Doesn't give Hurleyman24 room into turn 5 lap2 where Hurleyman24 have corner rights (being on the inside)
Also a warning to Netherdragon for ignoring blue flag with Skengdigi

Requested that ProPersian stop flashing his light when he wants to overtake a car he did not lap. Flashing lights are supposed to be used when lapping cars and when doing so when your supposed to fight for position could make the guy in front unsure and lose focus. Bad sportsmanship.

There are some small incidents in the first lap caused by a bit aggressive driving and warning goes to Joey975 and zzxxz for aggressive and dangerous racing conduct.
The incident that happen in the first lap had no one to blame, but if people could calm down a bit it wouldn't have happen. This is why Heavy damage was discussed.

All in all a good clean race guys.

OP updated. Netherdragon had a 11 second lead on Hurleyman24 so no places got changed.

Persian flashing his lights was something I forgot to mention, it can get really distracting and annoying at times. I only flash my lights when I'm lapping someone or if someone waits for me to say thanks (I flashed at Adam when he waited for me when I span).

Yep, at Rome in Pre-season he was flashing me too. I let him trough becaus i was confused. At the end i was closing the gap to Pro very quickly. But the race was one lap to short. If i didn't let him pass me it was very possible i could end 2nd.

Since the game has no blue flags, its a good tool. No need to confuse us whit flashing the whole time.
