haha you serious?? damn u must've been tired.. i'm very tired swell but can' t do anything about it, got to work you know.. but it' ll be exciting on saturday

I'm just bored with this track , I can't really push here so its not very fun , its more a tire saving race for me .

I'm in the ICGTC lounge now if anyone feels like joining for practice. ;)

Edit: Suzuka is really eating my tyres, my best on medium is 1:55.143 but doing that time killed my rear tyres, by laps 2 to 3 I have barely any rear grip. I tried various soft and stiff suspension settings but it doesn't seem to change the tyre wear, only the handling. It seems the only way to have them last is to go slower but then my lap times won't be competitive and I'll be near the back again. :(

Joey that time is the fastest I've heard so far , no mistakes and you should be on the podium

Looks like this race will be a 3 - 5 stopper

I don't think I'll be able to keep that up though, my tyre wear is horrendous only lasting 3 laps before it becomes too loose making it very easy to spin.

The NSX handles so much better without the stage 2 turbo and seemed to be easier on the rear tyres not having all that extra torque but is about 2 seconds slower.

Seeing as changing my suspension didn't help my tyres maybe I should tweak the LSD to reduce the oversteer a bit?

I just had to try the NSX now. Tried it with the stock tune except for downforce witch was on max also I changed the brak balance to 7 at front and 5 at the rear.

I could go 10 laps if I was a bit careful, actually going 10 laps wasn't that hard. But the car didn't feel very good so I took some time to learn the car. What is making the rear tyres go faster than front. Not anything to do with suspension, but the torque this car now have with the turbo stage 2. I checked the graph showing Max Power/torque and it was quite clear to me what had to be done. Tweak the gear box to avoid working under 5900 rpm. You can use this torque to go super fast, but it will also wear your tyres super fast.

So I made 1st and 2nd gear long, very long and 3-6 pretty short. This way you can work down on 4000 rpm on 2nd gear because you do have the power to do so, but you shouldn't floor it before passing 5500-6000 rpm Keep the gear almost until the limiter kicks in and change, now the rest of the gears should not go under 6000rpm and then you have a torque the rear tyres can live with.

Also I would suggest not to increase the rear camber more than it is stock, I know a lot of guys say it is faster this way and it might be, but when the rear tyres is more than 355 in width you will actually only run on less than half the rear tyres with a increased negative camber. This again will increase tyre wear as the tyre wear comes from acceleration/torque and not handling.

My setup during the test is far from perfect, but I could easly match the time I set on Fuji with the GT-R

I only list the things that are NOT stock tuning

Body/Chassis
Front Rear
40-65

Transmission

Inserted topseed: 360km/h (stock I believe)

1st 2,906
2nd 1,906
3rd 1,462
4th 1,164
5th 0,949
6th 0,787

Final Gear: 4,062

Max speed (right high corner) 340km/h

Drivetrain (LSD)
15
40
30

Toe Angle front 0,02 rear 0,05

Brake balance
7/5
Rest was stock, this is far from what I would have used in a race, but it's a good base tune for me at least, car felt precise enough on turn in, and it had a tendency of over steer on turn exit when tyres got worn, but nothing some throttle control couldn't fix.

On average I was about a second slower than my GT-R, but I'm a GT-R driver, not a NSX driver and I used 2 seasons to adjust my GT-R, and two hours on the NSX
But I could go 10 laps on mediums easy, even if I pushed during the first 6-7 laps.

So it might be about time to reset the car Arkano, its like when I adjusted sound in my car, sometimes I just adjusted to much and was way off.

Another thing I figured out was because the rear or "mid" mounted engine you have more weight on the rear tyres so when sliding this car will wear the tyres more than the GT-R, so pushing it could be risky.

I hope this helps, even though I know you never liked my car setups, but maybe you got some ideas for your own tune ;)

I'm sorry for double post, but it's worth it ;)

You just told us the answer to your problem, still you try to adjust the suspension. Work on the problem and it get solved.. ;)

Thanks Eric, fixed my rear tyre wear now :) but my overall tyre wear is still very bad :(. I might have to try hard tyres if I can't get them to last at least 2 more laps.

And IMMORTALPILOT beat my PB with a 1:55.123

Wow Immortal quite impressive with 60 extra kg

I see lots of drivers been testing the hard tyre

Like the post said it's something I put together very fast and it's far from perfect. But good to hear your on the right way mate.

I adjusted my console today, had to move the pedals a bit more away from me. This way I thought it would be more relaxing to race for one hour. But when I finally got it right I actually became 4 tenths faster. Still very far from a 55 something. I fixed the pedals with m6 bolts this time and since my brake pedal is really heavy it's way more accurate now.

Anyway

This will have to be a bye week for me,. I have a family get together this Saturday, so I wont be in town. I would take my PS3 over there, but my girl is telling me that this would be rude so I'll see you guys next week for Tokyo R246. I need the early practice anyways since you steering wheel drivers are already so fast!

I'm actually a bit faster with my controller JoeTruck but I get better tire wear with the wheel and ofcourse its more fun.
