Steward report.
1.
Lap 1 end of long straight. Falcon dives the corner and pushes Marco off track.
10 second penalty
2.
Lap 2 end of long straight. What a mess..
What we decided was. Marco doesn't respect Skengdigi's position bumping him and Skengdigi hits the grass while braking. It was un predictable movement by Marco and Skengdig had no where to go. Skengdigi was also braking at this point so he could not have yielded any more. Avoidable if Marco wouldn't have tried to steel Skengdigi's line into the corner.
10 second penalty to Marco (causing a avoidable accident)
Return to the track of both Nissman and Marco was dangerous and both gets a warning for not returning to the track in a safe manner.
Skengdigi's return however forces Arkano off track and the return wasn't just unsafe, but very dangerous.
Skengdigi 20 second for causing a totally avoidable accident with Arkano
I must say that the rest of the race these guys involved did a really clean race from this point on (if I didn't miss anything) Very good race, but a bit to much temper in the first two laps.
3.
Lap 12 Hurley cuts eau rouge and then overtake djgonzales going wide after the top of eau rouge.
We also investigated the corner after the long straight, but gonzales was given sufficient room so I can't give anyone a penalty there. Something strange happen and I bet it caused by lag from gonzales because no one really touches him, but he bounce off track.
10 second penalty to Hurley for the illegal pass however.
There was also a lot of people going wide in the last sector and a lot of eau rouge cutting. I found it rather hard to give a fair amount of penalty because I would actually use 16 hours going through every player to see the amount of cutting everyone did.
But in a championship race I will spend the time because we do not allow corner cutting and we will punish it. And we will punish it harder than what you gained on it so I advice you not to do it. Of course it can happen to people from time to time, but worn tyres aren't a excuse. The pit crew are more than happy to change your tyres
A lot of other incidents were investigated, but no further action to be taken.
Example is Marco going off last corner of sector 2 in lap 2. Marco have the outer line into the corner and it's really is hard for Falcon to predict the move. No need to stress the overtake by Marco After the corner it does look like ArtMannn is forcing Marco off track on the back straight, but Marco is coming back onto the track and the cars on the track have the right over the cars off track
At this point ArtMannn could have show a bit more gentleman sportsmanship as it was easily room for 3 wide there.
Same thing with ArtMannn and Maxitsu in lap 17 where Maxitsu goes off bad because ArtMannn stand his right. Could easily made more room for Maxitsu even though Maxitsu didn't have sufficient overlap to deserve it. No penalties, but more sportsmanship wouldn't hurt. To avoid accidents that might be caused by misjudgment of where you have your car.
Next up is Fuji with large run off areas.. Remember, it's run off areas not part of the track. Looking forward to the race and I hope it can be just as competitive as our spa race, but without the over the top aggressiveness
