The two astons are the best :)

I hope we can get body kits also this is the best kit I have ever seen IMO and I like veilside inspiration " The inspiration for the design was the Japanese Samurai armor and featured unique curves and armor plating accents that can be associated with the design"

I would make my racing R34 Skyline, Audi R8 V10, and Porsche 911 turbo that I made in FM3. If GT5 doesn't have Porsche, then it will have ruf. I just hope they get some newer ones so I can make these IF they have a Livery Editor.

Well i really hope that GT5 has a Livery Editor.... because im going to need it to repaint and edit the costume livery on the ugly pre-order "Stealth" cars when i get my collectors copy... :yuck:

.Play, create and share has become a big part of several games in the PS3 library. With all the technology sharing going on, there's definitely no reason we can't have this sort of thing in GT5. 👍

Play, Create, Share has become an integral part of Next-gen gaming. People want to create a race car, or track, or Level, not just be stuck with what the Developers made.

Is Sony going to step forward and rival Forza, NFS Shift, and others on creativity? Or are they going keep with their old way and make us use what they've given us? Livery Editing's been in gans since GT3, I mean, you could only apply a limited amount of vinyls to certain areas, but it was there!

How the 🤬 are you gonna use a livery editor to make a Mustang into a Z/28?

Hidden talent?
Sorry for bringing up a rather old post, but seriously, that's the funniest post I've ever seen on this forum.

No offense though, as I guess you're not the least bit into muscle cars.

A livery editor would be nice...but it's not essential. I mean I've tinkered with it in Forza 3 but it's not game changing.

That's quite a big statement there friend.
You might have tinkered but lots of people get great pleasure from designing liveries.
Little vixen on forza for example, only does liveries and no racing. As that is her pleasure.
Not game changing for you but can certainly be a game changer for others.
Especially for some who this may be the first time at that type of thing.
The same can be said for photomode. There are quite a few members here who will spend more time with that mode than racing.

I'm not having a go, just putting another perspective to it.

Also, I think you'll find some of those cars are already in GT5. :P
Well, I can tell you that some of the cars are going to be available, but with updated/upgraded paint schemes for the racing modifications, which I hope is back in full force like in GT2. If they are better looking, they might not have to be edited (saving some people a lot of time. I'm not one of them, since I do all my own custom livery work in Forza and TXR3 anyway.)
I think people are going to be complaining about how ugly the racing mods are for most of the cars that you are forced to modify/race for the specific events, so there is a market for customized cars on the world car trading/selling thing that hopefully will be in the game. Those of us who do the custom livery work are going to get rich off the people who don't or can't do it and also hate those cars I mentioned.

For sure fella. I don't mean it as if it shouldn't be in at all...just that it shouldn't be the 'make or break' factor. Would have thought online racing on the Nurb with 16 premium cars as the day is turning to dusk and the lights come on would be a game-changing moment in GT5.

You misunderstood. I was joking that some of those cars (4 of them, to be exact. Maybe more) are going to be in GT5 looking exactly like they did in GT2.

He meant that it could be a game-changer for other people who prefer different things than you.
Whether it's a "make or break" factor is a personal decision, not everyone gets excited about the same things.
That you get excited about 16 Premium cars on the Nür with dynamic day and night ( which is impressive, no doubt ) doesn't mean everyone does, as some will get more excited by the prospect of creating their own livery for the first time in a GT-game.

I think I'd find it pretty boring if it doesn't include a livery editor and I imagine a lot of the FM3 players waiting to come over to GT5 are hoping it's there, too.

That side of Forza moved the racing game genre on for a large number of people.

I imagine people will get very creative with cars, which i also hope there will be an auction house for tuned cars with paint jobs. Which is very popular in FM3. I imagine clan tags on cars, and even actual art works on cars (provided the painting tools make that possible one way or another).

I my self will definitely dedicate some time to a potential livery editor, and have a car (probably a mustang) that will hence forth be called 'my baby' containing various shades of blue and white.

I imagine doing a few character designs on my cars aswell just for fun :D

And japan having all kinds of craziness on their cars. then having features on playstation blog like with mod nation racers.

As far as building a community, a livery editor could be key in my opinion.

as a final note a lewd car is immanent... even for me...

I do hope they allow us to sell livery designs, and maybe have a 'decal creator' which allows us to combine standard shapes, and then convert it into a single image which can be sold and used on any paintable car.

I wonder what amount of control we will have over liveries, if a livery editor is included in GT5.
I'd like an option to upload images to attach on the car via USB.
Maybe even an "export" option so that a template for the whole car is saved for further editing on a PC (and later re-importing).

But then, I guess that for online use there would be a certain amount of control/moderation over obscenities, vulgarities, copyright infringements, etc.

I just hope that livery resources won't limited to what will be available in-game, and expecially that in order to make something good one won't be essentially forced to purchase "livery pack" DLC. But I can already see that coming seeing how greedy have become game companies lately.

How does the livery editor work in Forza3 by the way?

How can you not want the Mach 5? Sure it's outrageous and a bit asinine, but it's part of automotive culture to many, maybe even Kaz himself. Besides, did you read the car's specs on road and track? It's insane. Also, when we had a tank car in GT4, why not a Mach 5 in GT5?

Actually, Road and Track tested a Mach 5 in Gran Turismo! I remember reading about it in 8th grade when I got the mag in the mail. Take a look!

I always loved that car, watching re-runs of the original Speed Racer when I was 5. I made a Mach 5 out of a Ford GT in MC:LA, I'll try and upload it later.

Edit: Here it is
